Anyone else hate the little red o-rings for 14mm water so much you're thinking of buying some 18mm glass? Why yes, I did just tear one, well actually two, but only one completely. Sorry to be a downer but there needs to be a better way...

Oh and of course your new joda looks marvelous, sticks. Any problem with heat from the Supreme while you're taking a pull? Looks close enough that you (well, not you, but someone clueless/careless) could potentially hurt yourself...

I don't like the little red o-rings either. They are a PITA. Most of the things about this vape are, to me. However, it hits so damn hard I simply overlook all the other things and enjoy the effect. This thing hits so hard.

YES! I'm so glad you wrote this. It summarizes my feelings exactly. I enjoy the whole vaping process generally, but the Supreme, not so much. If only it didn't hit so hard I'd sell it in a minute...

Me to. I love playing around with the various vapes I have. Not with the Supreme though. It's not pretty to look at, and using it is generally not all that enjoyable from the preparation/tinkering/handling standpoint, but boy is it effective!!!

Before I picked up the S3 I read and re-read this thread. Here two of the most helpful tips I found regarding the red o-ring.

... I hate how the bowl likes to get stuck in the joint when I'm trying to clear a rip, so this is how I have my bowl setup.. I'm using both the 14mm and the 18mm bushings together on a 14mm joint.. The seal is made w/ the 18mm gasket on the top of the glass joint, rather than inside.. the 14mm bushing is really only there just to make it effortless to keep things centered.

I had trouble getting the small red grommet on myself until I got some good advice to use the tip of a pen to expand/transfer the little fucker onto the stem.

Thank you! @Buildozer and @Stu.

Oh absolutely; I am stunned by it's power every time I use it. I'm just hoping that as we type negotiations are underway with oh say, Arizer, to bring a safe to use, more appliance like, vaporizer to market using the Supreme Heat exchanger. Doesn't have to be "in your pocket" portable, could be the size of a 1 burner camping stove...sorry I'm rambling here...or maybe an 18650 battery has enough juice to heat up the block? Doesn't have to be more than a one hitter...Or maybe I should just shut up and enjoy El Supremo for what it is...

So I got an email back from Ed recently addressing the Electric version...

First, he is not giving up on it and hopes to come up with something soon, but he has a few serious engineering challenges:

1. Heat Up time - as we know from other electric vapes (evo, sub, logs, etc), they take some time to get up to temperature. Electricity doesn't seem to able to harness the raw power of a butane torch. (Me, I used to waiting 10 minutes for my Infinity to heat up and willing to do the same for Supreme, but I am a very patient Zen type person).

2. Unit body temp and leaving it on - if you've ever accidentally touched or even gotten near the heat exchanger, you know how hot it gets. Now picture it inside any type of enclosure. Such high heat would even over time degrade most materials that may be used as a housing, plus there could be other serious implications, safety and performance wise, dealing with this heat.

I know that the v1 had some type of cardboard and/or leather sleeve that helped with this. An auto-shutoff could assist with heating too long, but that may trade-off increased heat up time between uses.

I did embellish the above a bit, all Ed basically said was " heat up time" and "small space heat enclosure if left on for a long time" were the basic challenges.

There are many smart minds here who can maybe come up with suggestions to solve all of these issues, if that's you, post here and maybe send Ed an email and we can all help make the electric Supreme a reality.

Yo O ,
They have been putting concentrates on the top of the load ( drip on last ) and having the oil work down onto the bud as they heat up the load.
Welcome to the supreme team , great post, great vape , enjoy.
I like to hover around the 170 mark for taste and ease of holding that rip.
180 - 190 is my limit while torching ; any higher and it's time to see Jesus as my lungs leave my body along with my mind!
ABV is great on this thing with high temp rips that do not bother the lungs , but get me medicated soooo nicely. 190
Just realized that others have correctly answered your concentrate question.
I did too

I'm so pissed at the red grommet..broke my last one..I have the adapter made by @mestizo and two white grommet bowls but I love using my 14mm carbed Jody adapter so I don't have to pull the supreme out..I can just release the carb but when I was emptying the tube it slid out of the adapter and the grommet broke so now I have no 14 m options..but still the hardest hitting vape there is..and use it daily..

Yes sir, that looks like one mighty Supreme rig. Not that good at my glass yet, it's a Klein maybe? I have a nice private label Chinese Fab egg in boro that almost tames El Supremo. Go ahead and laugh at my lightweight adventures but today was the first of maybe a dozen sessions that I haven't coughed.... It's partly the Fab egg, but mostly just learning how to pack and use this. Even getting the little kitchen torch thing down to a routine. Nice nightcap. Wake and vapes if you wait until you're just ready to leave the house so the effects hit and build as you're walking down the street? Oh my....
This bedtime snack is good too. Just need to show a little discipline and not go back for another round
EDIT: Sorry, didn't mean to post on top of your red Oring tragedy. I hate 'em too.

Almost there...
@BadDog No

Why use the grommets at all if you are using 14mm glass?
With my S3 the silicone tip on the heater tube fits perfectly into a 14mm joint.
So what i do is use an 18 to 14mm reducer and it fits in any of my WT's now with ease!
Silicone seals the 14mm joint perfectly! Slip on the reducer, which is 14mm inside, and it fits in any of my other glass!
Very easy and cheap!
