Stuck Glass

Just went to hit the ol' blazemaster/vhw combo...the bowl is stuck in the downstem! Grrrr.... anyone know how I can free it? I'm trying to avoid iso because I'd like to keep the wand oil growing. Can't recall if heat or cold will free it up...

throw it in the fridge...
Ive also seen it done using it hot though, I think depends on how it is stuck.
however logic would dictate heat expands, cold shrinks
