ooooo I forgot they sell bangers for this guy.

How do you like it compared to typical waterdiffusion+banger?

e: whoops I only have a jr, but my ? still stands :3
I would say water wins, but I don't think by that much. It reminds me of the hydro attachment for the brick. I have it and use it, but I honestly don't need it. It hits so smooth normally that I don't think water is necessary. While it does cool, I mainly like it for the filtering to make sure nothing solid gets through (for flower anyways). The biggest plus though is just having it be an add-on you can take with your brick wherever. More mobile than a glass bubbler you need to fill. It's especially crazy on the brick jr. On both the mp glass just goes solid flipping white when your using the banger.

Also you just need to buy their adapter (14mm I think?) and can put any banger (or whatever else) you want in there. I was putting vapcaps in there for fun. I'm still looking for some 2 headed glass adapter to plug into it that makes it so I can hit the banger while also acting as a flame intake so I can torch flower in the brick at the same time. Probably stupid, still want to do it.

Copy that brother

I cannot second this enough. I have returned two Craftys to S&B for RMA work; my Firefly 2 is unopened and was RMA'd and is a piece of shit.

My StickyBrick is getting me medicated at night. Without it, I'd have to resort to edibles, which do not affect me a lot, it seems.

I love the "Keep It Simple, Stupid" approach to most things.

I am learning how to use my StickyBrick and have sadly combusted a few bowls so far. ;-(

I saw a video online where a guy vapes using the original StickyBrick, but has lifted up the point where his grass covers the screen. Rather than the lower tier near the carb hole, he has gone up some using another (larger) screen than the ones SB provides. This screen sits at that higher tier. Seems like raising the herb would create more of a combusting scenario?

I am new to screens. If I have blackened one, should I clean it using alcohol or is a little soot OK?

Also, I ditched the butane mini torch that came with my unit. Just too whimpy. I bought something called a ThisThingRips hand-held torch. Still working it out too. :-)

EDIT: 01/11/2017; 12:51 PM ET - Looks like it is a 3/4" screen WakeAndVape suggests. Will try that out but am leery about combusting too easily. I am not wholly competent yet. :-)

I am sending out a small stir tool with the Brick for those who prefer a more sleek look then the tweezers sticking to the side. It's very good for screen removal. Push down in the center of the screen and force the edges up just a bit, use the spoon side to get under it and lift it up, then dump it out or grab with the tweezer/flashlight.

Where may I buy more of these? I have a hundred uses for them and I know I am going to drop it one night and never be able to find it outside.

Thank you.

If you are hesitant to try out ANY torch powered vape then you are missing some of the best and most powerful vapes on the market IMO

Hello, everyone. I got my Brick on December 19.

h12m0v.jpg

I was leery too but last night I put in some Super Lemon Haze and I could tell the vape was as strong as I had ever gotten from e-liquid concentrates. The terpenes were pronounced the first time or two.

I am near-sighted so I rotated the big glass exhaust -90 degrees from how it appears in the photo I took (above).

Now that I'm getting more dialed in, much better flavor and really no wood taste. Just had a bowl where the vapor was so thick I was certain I combusted. Nope. Might have been thickest I have seen. Unbelievable.

I had this experience last night. It was all vape but so strong I was sure I had burned up my herb.

Tried it out and boy...did it work!
Thanks good sir.

I really enjoy your videos. You are what sold me on getting The Brick (original). So thank you!

I may have asked this before but I've been wondering why there is so much excitement about the brick and so many ready to order one when this didn't happen with the almost identical daisy.

More time has passed; more legalization has occurred in the US. And people are growing tired of RMA'ing all the Chinese mass-produced "electronic" vaporizers that end up not working and have terrible battery lives, etc. ;-)

This thread needs more brick porn...

So I just received my unit the other day so I don't have all the nuances down quite yet and this could be due to user error but I also seem to prefer lighter loads. Even without the advantage of flavor I just seem to prefer a smaller load because I have been noticing the larger loads don't vape quite as evenly and require some extra stirring compared to a smaller load. On a side note since were talking about our loads how do you guys prefer your grind size and do you pack your bowls down at all? I'm noticing that I seem to prefer a more coarse grind with this vape.

I use my SpaceCase to produce a medium grind. I think larger and looser is better for convection. I do not tamp.

@lemmeadem you can't be suggesting that people try to find existing information on their own?!?!? What type of monster are you... If clearing the dust out still doesn't fix airflow, remember to clean out the thin metal tube that connects to the MP...I have scrapped honey out of there a few times @justvapin

That magnet draw pipe on my unit is really loose and keeps wanting to fall out. I have caught it quite a few times. Am hoping it eventually 'sticks.'

@WakeAndVape how about the.... Torchocle

MYdEXp3.jpg

That glass work with the white veining is very phallic. I love it!

So my buddy stopped over with his sticky brick and we figured out an easy mod for the stickybrick.

A miniVAP Stainless Steel decarboxylation kit. [...] The SS ring fits like a glove and covers most of the wood in the chamber. It definitely took a good portion of the wood taste away.

Am curious if you're still using this miniVAP insert? For $39 USD (IMO) it would need to work *very well* and be an extended improvement over the original design sans bucket.

I just posted this over in the Sticky Brick Junior thread but it applies to the Brick too.

I wonder if, in very bad cases of combustion, one might lightly sand the inside... so as to remove char. Very lightly... Knowing doing so will remove any good stuff as well?

You can load enough just to cover the screen and turn the flame on your torch up. This works great for me. It does take a little refining of your technique but it takes maybe one go to pick it up. Send me an email at productsupport@stickybricklabs.com with your info
And I will send out a plug for your carb to see if that helps you.

I did not get a carb cork with my unit I received on December 19 but this addition may have been discontinued? I had considered a small piece of tape but I do like to clear the chamber after vaping, so I like the removability of the cork better. Will investigate more. Still, a smallish cork is another thing to fall on the ground (and lose).

Here's a little vid (first URL) I made just a few minutes ago. The picture (second URL) shows a few hits later; the herb got toasty in the end but I never charred it.

Sorry for the headphones... I was listening to the new Varg EP. :-) And it's like 35 F here. So Norwegian dystopia fit?

EDIT: That is some light-deprived top shelf. I am glad it didn't have a gimmicky Hipster name! LOL.

Enjoy your weekends!

Hello all!

So my buddy stopped over with his sticky brick and we figured out an easy mod for the stickybrick.

The vape still has a bit of a wood taste to it after 70 plus chambers run through.
It has gone down a bit but it's still there.

:peace:

@Blackfriars I actually bought this mod after seeing @Vape Dr. 's video and wow does this make a difference to me. In fact this simple mod took an already great experience and made it that much better. As @Vape Dr. stated, Using this conduction ring saves on torch time. It actually cuts it in about half for me. I am not a scientist at all, but what I think happens is that the wood bowl actually absorbs some of the heat from the torch (Hence the charring that occurs on the sides of the wood bowl) so you have to torch longer before the heat reaches the bottom/sides of the bowl. This actually causes me to char sometimes at the end of the session because I am trying to get that last bit of green out of my ABV. So I'm torching what's already been torched the longer my session is. With the conduction ring it sends the heat from the torch immediately back into the herb from top to bottom and around the sides on the bowl so I blow clouds much quicker and I don't have to torch as long to see the clouds. Micro dosing is even better now because of the immediate heat return. Just a little torch time and the small dose starts to vaporize. I've been using this now for a few weeks and I can't go back to the wood bowl now. It makes that much of a difference for me. Also this ring keeps the wood bowl from getting overly dirty or charred and it also does NOT affect the taste of the herb so this is a win-win-win to me ! I would strongly suggest for @StickyBricks ,@Slow Draw McGraw to take a look at adding this exact type of conduction ring as an option to the Sticky Brick line of products. Please charge a lot less than the $30 Dynavap charges though. That's just ridiculous in my opinion, but it does work and I highly recommend this mod.

OG Brick + Water Add On Accessory + Stainless Steel Conduction Ring + HydroTube = Vaping Perfection :clap::nod::clap: (Best of all worlds combined)

I vaped quite a bit with my Sticky Brick 'The Brick' this weekend. Here are a couple more videos I made. Sorry for the less-than-stellar quality. Hard to manipulate a phone, light source, vaporizer, product, etc. ;-) And, it's quite cold here.

I switched out the original 5/8" screen as I had combusted through it a few times and the thicker American-made screen is shining like a National guitar. Loving the Zico mini torch I got too. It's a stylish little piece.

That SB looks awesome. I think I want one lol

It is! And I have no connection to the company whatsoever.

Two observations as I continue to use The Brick:

(1) My vaping has gone up. I am using more bowls. Now, granted... I am getting tolerant to some extent? Surely. I have some Gorilla Glue #4 coming soon to mix it up (hopefully).

(2) The whole vaping experience is much better when I do not overfill this unit. Convection needs good air circulation. Packing the product too tightly is therefore counterproductive. I resist being greedy and now vape three or four bowls with better results.

Mmmmm. God I feel good!

So the SB is convection? Interesting....
  • Convection vaporizers rely on passing hot air around and through aromatic blends.
  • Conduction vaporizers work by contact with a heated surface.
I guess strictly speaking, all vaporizers are a little of both, but the Sticky Brick's method is to release THC and related compounds through heated air, with a mini torch, yes.

Hey I'm wondering if there were any difference between early Sticky Brick models and your current models. The one I have doesn't have your logo on it so I'm wondering if there was anything different in the later models. Thanks.
No, no difference. The early ones didn't have a logo as we had not sourced the template to apply the logo at that point.

This was actually my 'WakeAndVape' session from this morning.
I'm not sure if it's #FrankenVape or #Multitudinous @Slow Draw McGraw?
I got the Maxx since a week now and love it! Is it worth to buy also the OG, or are they both very similar? I'm asking people who have tested both bricks!
They are similar but different, including having a slightly different vape signature.

Worthiness is in the eye of the person purchasing...but it I will say it is.
