SSV Idea

Just an idea...

It seems that lately it has come down to pick between the SSV and the Extreme....

I believe one of the biggest reasons that folks can't decide is one blows bags... the other doesn't

taking a page from the Herbalaire... and the extreme

Perhaps 7th floor could make the inlet hole on the heater cover stick out so we could attach an air pump and hose and attach a bag at the end of the whip and blow bags

It would take a few custom pieces but... it could probably work

Your thought??

hmm, it could work, a cutsom blown heater cover with sort of a funnel coming out of the back that acts as an inlet hole, or something that clamps onto the the heater cover and forces air through the inlet hole... the second one seems much more practical, but would require heat proof materials

then you would still use the whip as the bowl, and we might be able to convert some parts of the extreme whip and bagset to fit on the end of the ssv whip

i think it would be a cool aftermarket mod to the ssv, overall it seems like it would be mediocre at best, as the ssv was designed ground up to be the best whip unit out there, personally i think a person would be best off getting a heat gun vape or an herbalaire if they already have the ssv, as they woul have specialist units

back about a year and a half they(7th floor) toyed with the idea of having a fan/bag filler model. i even hit off of the prototype that was built. but it never saw production, im pretty sure because they decided that after all was said and done, the bag, fan and all was just too much trouble for its worth.

at the same time i have wondered myself if a different type of pump, say like a vacuum pump that pulls air through it rather than a regular air pump/fan that would push it through.

that would be a lot better idea, a vacuum pump that goes onto the whip and sucks the air through into a bag

there would have to be quite a bit of designing, as im sure a regular vacuum pump could get gunked up by resin, and would probably effect the taste quite a bit, not to mention being a pita to clean

but it could be done a lot easier than something that pushes the air through, thats a great idea tokin!

Sound Idea spiderman, But It's something i woudnt bother with personally(i will be getting a SSV) I'm finding i :whip: my E exclusively(Very Very Rare i bag up) I find vaping is about manipulating my breath in ways an Air pump or small Fan just cant match, for great value anyway,( i never have profound effects with Bags, there just OK, thats it). Personally if the Cano was the same price as an SSV, i'd still go with the SSV, unless i infact tried a Cano & it turned me around, im just going on using the extreme of course. I notice the same "Breath " thing with the Vaporgenie too, it reminds me of getting a small fire goin the slow gentle way, without Petrol.

For me On Demand ( that you can drop& pick up whenever) :whip: rules supreme. :) My 23yo nephew feels the same too, pretty savvy kid Guitar/surfing/Tradie etc

easy stiring and easy temp adustments are way cool too. :bigleaf:

Ya... bags are cool.. but the new car smell wears off pretty quick then you will whip it 99.9% of time ... except bigger group of people... and when you show it off to someone who has never seen it.

But with all that said... Once the SSV hit the table.. the extreme has been put away.. took it out once to do a quick compare... whip to whip....

didn't take more than one or two hits and back in the draw it went...

Probably wouldn't be that hard to set something up using the standard whip.

Here's one I tried tonight with pretty good result for the first time. Went to electronics store (RadioShack in the U.S) and got a mini computer vaccum. Removed all the peices except the plastic neck. then attached a pre-washed small oven bag with rubber bands. (Rinse with hot water, dry with paper towel, and place a dry towel flat inside for 30 minutes. All water will be gone, and no more fumes)
Place one end of my whip into the intake valve, and the bag is attached to the exhaust valve. Instant bag vape. I need to perfect it, and a variable speed vaccum would work better. All and all...It worked, and gave me one hell of a head high.

I know this is old, but couldn't one attach a bag to the mouthpiece of the SSV, and pull the vapor out into the bag, ala the bread-bag bong (or lung, or various other names)?

Lol a vapor lung, clever idea, I wonder if I could make one out of my old extreme bag

I'm really curious if it would actually work, I don't have a whip-only or I'd try it.

I looked but couldn't tell if 7th Floor was a member of this site or not...I think they could really benefit from the input and concerns of their customer's by joining if they aren't already.

Sadly, i dont think they are. I sent them an email with suggestions on making a mini whip with quality glass/thickness, seeing as how popular the vaporbros mini is getting among ssv users, and also mentioned FC and that they should have a rep here. No response, no interest obviously, shame.

7th Floor seems very busy, I don't know. From my experience ordering accessories from them (for my Herbalaire) I got the impression they didn't have a ton of free time - then again, this could be because all they have is free time.

Steiner - Speaking of using SSV parts with the Herbalaire, I replied to your post (from last month, I know) over in the Herbalaire Fans thread, if you havn't noticed.
