    Hello,

This is my first post/thread on FC!!! FYI, this site played a big role in my decision to finally purchase a vaporizer (Volcano Digit, January 2013) and I couldn't be happier. I definitely started off the New Year right, and I feel the health benefits already... I have left combustion behind for good!

Anyways, I am currently experiencing severe swelling in my ears due to new piercings and I CANNOT take NSAIDS due to stomach ulcers. I did a google search and came across some articles about cannabis and anti-inflammatory benefits ((example: http://boingboing.net/2008/06/25/marijuanas-antiinfla.html )), but they are all very brief, and fail to mention vaporizing as a means.

With that being said, my question for you all is this: What temperature(s) should I set my Digit to to achieve anti-inflammatory benefits???

Lend me your knowledge, FC. :myday:

    Thanks in advance. :peace:

    Found something via Vaporpedia:

The table was originally collated by FuckCombustion.com member tdavie and was posted in a thread titled Vaporization temperature dependent selection of effects. Tom posted it with the following caveat:
Don't kill me if it is inaccurate. Don't praise me if it works; merely pass it along if you think it is of any value and forget it if you think it's garbage.
    Vaporizing Effects by Temperature
    Effects
    140 284 2 x Anti-inflammatory[1]
    150 302
    160 320 Euphoriant[2], 2 x analgesic[3], 3 x anti-inflammatory[1], antiemetic[4], anxiolytic[5], antipsychotic[6], bronchodilator[7]

Interesting.... Does anyone have experience with these temps in regards to anti-inflammatory benefits?

In the meantime, I will try and setup a 284 bag and report back.

So you can't get quercetin with vaping? I looked it up and it has known anti-cancerous and anti-inflammatory properties, among other things listed and not. Interesting.

Anyways based on the sheet provided the OP should vape at 428F to get all the known anti-inflammatory properties. Remember you don't have to start at 428, but make sure to get there by the end of your session. I'm curious, what is the Volcanos max temp?

Max temp is 230 C. On the Cano Digit. I think Classic is the same.

Awesome info DreamTime, thanks for posting.

Would a topical tincture made from cannabis not be better for this application? I think the anti-inflamatory effects that the charts are talking about may be for internal inflammation (although vaping would certainly help keep your mind off the piercings and help the pain).
