i was trying to find more information about who makes the SPACE CASE?, i found nothing, for such a well known brand name its seems very hard to find them.

all i could find is that its made in the usa (every one writes that) but i couldn't find the manufacterer email/phone number.

    am i missing somthing ?
if anyone knows how to get in touch with the maker it would help alot.

    thanks guys.

Spacegrinders.com is the retail site for TrueBlendz grinders. They also sell Space Case grinders. Space Case has no website and no way for the retail customer to contact them. Most grinders are made in China or India. The Mendo Mulcher line is made in the US. If Space Case is also US made, maybe that explains why both brands are so expensive. At least the Mendo has a warranty. Never seen a warranty claimed for Space Case. They're excellent quality so you probably don't need one though. TrueBlendz is a different story. No warranty and poor quality control gave me a defective grinder that never should have gotten out of the factory, and they charged me a restocking fee in order to get a refund on a brand new, never used grinder. :(

I agree with vtac that gratefulbuys (especially eBay) is your best bet for a good price, although IMO there's no such thing as a good price on a Space Case. As for contacting the company, good luck with that. Although you get a warranty with Mendo, contacting them is a little iffy too.

Best name brand grinders for the money IMO are MixnBall, and at the low end-Chromium Crusher. MixnBall has a Black Friday sale Nov. 28th with 30% off.

I'll second both the Mendo Mulcher and Chromium Crusher. I don't use the former daily, as my only complaint with the CC is the kief screen is a scoche too fine and doesn't produce the levels of kief I'd like...

Other than that, MixnBall does seem pretty awesome.... and with a 30% off sale..... fuck, it's making me want to order one up!!!!! Why did you have to tell me this max?!!

We have a grinder thread around here with lots of info on 'no-names', which can actually be decent quality too -- save ya a few buckaroos too. :)

so if no one knows where these space case grinder comes from ? how did all those shop owners get the space cases they sell ?
you think they go and look up stores and offer them to sell the grinders ? just seems very wierd that every one agrees that its a great grinder but no one ever herd of the maker ... or how to talk to them ...

Good questions, I'm not sure who can provide the answers but I also find that very strange. SpaceCase is arguably the most well known grinder brands, and you would think, a company with this much reputation would allow you to contact them.... :/

    www.spacecasecutlery.com

And I'm told that all Space Case products are made in the USA.

 they sell it as kitchen tools... thats just funny
it makes sense, those could actually be used in the kitchen as spice grinders, but i doubt it

Is it me or that website seems a little suspect? It doesn't have much info on the case and it doesn't seem well designed (lack of info, very low resolution pics). You would think a company with that kind of a repuation would have a much better website. Any one verified that this is the real company?

vtac is the one with the inside scoop. My guess is they want to stay 'low-key' and fly under the radar as a 'legit' company... sure it looks suspect, but I don't think they really care at this point. *shrug*

Unless the person I've exchanged a few emails with tonight is lying to me for some bizarre reason, yes, that is the Space Case company website.

He said they try to keep a low key web presence for various reasons, and it seems like they do fine without a busy site. They do have a myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/spacecasecutlery He also said they are guaranteed for life against manufacturing defects, and I asked for some more info on that. I guess one problem with not having a detailed website is lack of information for curious and cynical consumers like us. :)

I don't know, some of those blends sound pretty tasty. Makes me want to put on the chef's hat. :D

It's you. They don't do business from the site or use it to attract buyers. What would be the purpose for anyone putting up a fake site called spacecasecutlery.com?

Hey Pitzpon, what type of Space Case grinder are you after?

I've got a small titanium 2 piece and it's great. Only gripe is it's a little small for my hands when I'm grinding. But the resulting consistency is perfect for the PD stems. I love it and the build quality is really nice.

I am definatly getting the titanium SpaceCase (4pc), but I can't decide between the medium and the small. Does anyone know if the holes are the same size in both?

    its the perfect size.

the bud gets ground up nice every time.

if you want it more ground up turn it faster and longer perfecet grind EVERY time and collects tons of kief all blonde too

I'm getting the 4pc, so I thought that grinding longer will not make it more fine being that the the flakes are going thru the holes (not talking about the kief here). Am I missing something?

The more grinding action that takes place before the herbs actually fall thru, the finer the grind.

With my Mendo, the action is so smooth I can grind it ultra fast, fast enough that barely anything falls thru, so after a good 30 seconds of fast twisting I slow down and everything falls through. :)
