First iso wash and damn. Im enjoying having this stuff around.

Ive been combusting it, though (yeah, be quiet I dont have the tools to vape it).

What kind of shelf life does hash, BHO have?

how do you store your concentrates? this shit is mad sticky. Ive actually cut a piece of an old credit card and put it on there, inside my grinder and its been storing fine so far.

I used to dropi the oil in a small little glass dram vial. Worked ok but real hard to get out and work with. Someone here suggested parchment paper and that works great. Makes it very easy to use and work with. I fold the paper when I'm done and store that in a mini Altoids container.

If you freeze it, it is easy to handle but will start to melt back instantly so be quick!

Head shops sell tiny individual tubes that are perfect for grams of concentrates. Make sure if you drip it in you dont vape your stash or if you do remember to inhale ;)

I kind of went concentrate crazy and have a nice little assortment, I currently have the non-oil ones in their little containers inside a mason jar, the few oils I have just sit on the shelf so they don't end up flowing into the cap - is this a good storage solution? I have no idea how long concentrates last...

butane hash oil concentrates get "stale" where they lose aroma and flavor, and potency, faster than a actual bud will. A purer oil or shatter lasts longer than "budder" or wax that has air whipped with it, because that just makes it oxidize faster.

So for that reason, definitely want a airtight container for oil IF you are planning on making it last more than 2 weeks :2c:

I like jars from here, got all sizes http://www.specialtybottle.com/glassjars-2.aspx

Great info SD! I was thinking myself that wax/budder seems to go 'stale' faster then oil...

Now supposing you put your concentrates in an airtight container. If you plan to keep for more then a few weeks (I started getting errl in bulk to save the money of getting a gram at a time at my local dispensary), is there any advantage to storing in the freezer? Would that stop or slow oxidation any?

To the OP, when I like using glass containers because you can scrape them out easiest without worrying about picking up particles of plastic while scraping. However, when in a pinch, and especially with sticky stuff, I use a bit of parchment paper. That way I can always stick it in the freezer to harden up an it will come off the parchment paper pretty cleanly/easily.

here is a cheap and easy storage method and im sure we all have a shot glass or two and a mason jar.

If you are afraid of rattling glass on glass like I am

Depending on the size of the mason jar and the amount of oil in each shot glass, you can stack as many as will fit in the one jar... I have two here... some darker mixed strain oil and some freshly ran Lucid Bolt. no dust in my shit!

Obviously they are not lightproof... although the cheese cloth helps with light reduction, you still should keep it in a drawer or something dark

I store my concentrates in my rig, and my lungs, in the for of 'Claim! All kidding aside, I've been one to use parchment paper (non-bleached, non-coated (silicone coating can get in your oil)) But, I love the look of a nice worked dish! I live in a home with a pet (cat) and there is cat hair, along with dust. So, I cannot leave my precious errls out in an open top dish...So, for now, I use a shallow top, wide tupper-ware container, , and set my oil/dishes/parchment papers folds in there. Works fine.

As far as degradation goes, almost all of the oil I make is sap/shatter, and never has an issue staying fine in open air. I've had some oil kicking around, gone now, that was in a dish, with no lid, in my 6' tall storage cabinet for medical supplies. It kept it's pristine sap consistency for over 3 months, and had the same flavor, etc, that it had on day one. That being said, If I don't purge correctly, and leave a lil tane left, the oil will usually budder on its own within a day or two, and some strains seem to auto budder. (BlueDream:bang:)

I would love something like this for storage, that locks. I could keep different dishes in their own place, etc. Top shelf Sativa, Lower shelf Indica, or any number of things!
