Been lurking for awhile but for my first post I want to announce I snagged a Cosmetic Seconds SSV for $160 plus shipping friday. On 7th floor my order still says processing but I'm very excited to have a vape besides my trusty Sticky Brick Jr again.

I am not certain, but I believe you would need more than an adapter.... you would also need a converter/transformer of some type to alter the current.
When ordering an SSV, you order 120 OR 240, and the correct plug (and voltage) comes with it.

    @Larrytargeteye, i did an ebay search…
"100W Power Converter Adapter AC 110V/120V to 220V/240V Volt Transformer+UK/ DR"

Maybe this will do the trick ?
I think i read somewhere that SSV power consumption is around 75W…1

Hi folks, I've just got hold of an SSV and was wondering what the little grey/blue stone that comes with it is for?

Hi. 1st post here. Really looking forward to taking advantage of the POTV black friday sale and snagging one of these puppies.

Is the SSV hands free like the DBV? Getting conflicting info. Any other major differences (besides aesthetics?)

    Thanks!!

Take a look at this http://7thfloorvapes.com/index.php/seventhfloorvapes/hands-free-attachment.html it might be what you are looking for. As to performance enhancing mods (there are indeed a few) what are you looking to improve? A bit more of a focus will get you better suggestions. Welcome to the board.

    Hey. Thanks for the reply.

So I'm shopping for my 1st desktop and have narrowed it down to the ssv or dbv. I own 3 convection portables, Milaana, FF2, and a Hopper. Had a Crafty prior. Enjoy all of them for different reasons.

Interested in a desktop for some more power and for some cooler flavor with the longer whip path. I'm not even sure if hands free is that important of a feature to me having never used a whip desktop.

Both the ssv and dbv are reasonably priced so that's not an issue. Just want to enjoy a longer, cooler, session with little risk of accidental combustion. I understand the dbv might be prone to flowers falling in the heater and this may be more difficult with the angle of the ssv heater?

In a nutshell I'm looking for a lazy, easy, late night couch vape! Curious which one might suit me better.

    Thanks!

For a whip both are good and do very well but the best mod (an opinion) is the Da Buddha with the LSV heater cover. The vertical arrangement makes it easier to keep the load placement right and to stir between hits. However for cooler hits its hard to beat adding a high diffusion glass piece but you are going to give up some/lots of flavor.

Yep hands free is really nice for a whip but that is user preference.

Out of the two vapes I would go with the Buddha in that role but its a marginal preference. However in the late night setting role I would suggest an entirely different vape, that being the E Nano. Much smaller, runs fairly cool with the stock glass stem and preforms well with glass. The big difference for me in the late night role is its efficiency because of the much smaller load size out of the box. Love the 7th Floor stuff for two or more users but solo the Nano has the edge.

Now is not a bad time to buy because 7th Floor is into the black Friday thing and the discounts are about as good as they get. Let us know which way you go so we can suggest more stuff to complicate your search.:)

Haha. True. VAS is always complicated!

I had the E nano on my radar but didn't know if it would be redundant based on my regular use of the Milaana with it's long stem?

The black friday deals on 7th Floor are definitely compelling!

Receiving mine on Monday. Any tips on draw speed? Keep the length of the stock whip as is?
