Retailer Discussion & Discounts

His_Highness

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king
Man, I am customer #2. You beat me to it (I wanted to be number 1).

IamKrazy2 said everything perfectly. I just wanted to add the customer service. I think he gets to understand members by their posts and matches you with the right vape. Also, love the interaction to make the vape function just the way you want. He is good ppl you want to do business with.

@stickstones - So it looks like I may be customer #3.

The transaction was stellar and the tailored, customer oriented approach was exactly what I was looking for. There is so much more added value in working with Stickstones than I find in the usual way a purchase works. I think my wife said it best when she said 'Its like having an expert personal shopper for vaporizing'.

I'm new to the vape scene and ..... I can get bogged down in the analysis paralysis of a purchase. It isn't a cost issue so much as a 'can't stop myself from trying to get it 100% right' thing. Sometimes the thrill of the hunt is great but at other times I can get frustrated with trying to satisfy the need to detail it all out. I got wrapped around the axle trying to do the homework on rounding out my Solo accessories. Which glass bubbler and which gong and all the opinions and contradictions in the posts finally forced me to set aside the purchase till I could find the time. Then Stickstones announced he was going retailer and I decided to ask him to put a package recommendation together. He asked me a series of questions and we went back and forth until he was satisfied he knew what he needed to know about me and my use. I have to admit I was really happy with the effort he made to make sure I was comfortable as well. What I liked most was being in the driver seat as far as timing. If I wanted to do the transaction quickly or take my time with the requirements ... he left it up to me. I got the feeling he was enjoying the 'fit' requirements more than me. During the 'getting to know your needs stage' I also got educated. When I received my gear I got educated again on how it all fits and the nuances of each product and was told don't hesitate to ask any questions ..... but before I could he had already sent me a PM with some additional details that I was going to ask about. Everything I have purchased on his recommendation is a huge game changer for me. Things I didn't even know I needed/wanted like Ed's TnT Stem as part of the package to eliminate the lack of safe portability due to the glass stems. I know Ed's stems are well thought of, and rightly so, but the functional aspect was not something I thought I needed...till now.

Another difference in having a personal shopper experience versus normal retailing...I had asked about an item and he said he'd prefer to recommend another retailer who would sell it for less than he could and concentrate on where he could add value. Who does that in retail !?!?!

It's kinda like going to a restaurant you've never been to before and you overhear someone at another table gushing about their meal....it's great to be able to say...I'll have what he's having.

Thanks Again Sticks...we'll be doing business again shortly.

His-highness's post is right on. My interactions were identical and he still checks in on me making sure that I like my purchases. I bought 2 vapes from him and I got them dialed in to match my preferences with his help. He genuinely cares and I will continue to do business with him. My VAS itch has calmed down a bit (because of the herbie). I would say that i have one wish list item: the vb2, the infamous cheese box.

Hello FC'ers,

a few weeks ago i asked FC if Namastevapes(netherlands) was a trustworthy distributor as i had read a lot of negative comments on FC and also reddit. Here is the thread: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/namastevapes-trust.17982/

It was really confusing for me if i could trust the company to order a firefly to go set (firefly + external charger and battery). As i eventually didn't get an answer on FC, i took the risk to order it from them after having made contact with Namaste Kory.

Now i wanted to make this wrong right, but it seems one of the moderators closed my thread even when i didn't get an actual answer aside of a lucky guy, so thats why i start this thread. The reason why is not to praise namaste vapes as best online vaporizer shop or something like that. But to help people who are, the same as me, confused if they can trust them and wouldn't get a fake. Because i can truly say there is nothing more irritating then doubting for days to buy something expensive.

What i can tell you is that they are a real distributor, who in my experience don't sell counterfeit vaporizers. They have multiple sites because they are affiliations of namaste so you can be helped in your native language (for example namastevapesnetherlands). My order arrived within 3-5 days (it even had to be shipped from uk to belgium). But then it seemed my firefly was a little damaged (scratch on the mouthpiece). It was no problem to send it back and get it replaced. Also it seemed my battery was a 750 mah battery (the old ones), but no problem, they are sending me a 770 and i could keep the 750 as a reserve.

So as far as customer service goes, i have nothing to complain about, i explained what my problems where and they solved em as fast and efficient as possible. I will definitely be buying more from them. I'm also gonna try out one of their water tools with an adapter for my crafty!! (can't wait for that ^^)

So for this thread, what are your experiences with them? This could make it a lot less confusing for newcomers (like myself) to get a stressless experience with a fine online shop.

Update with Stickstones retailer:

Continued interaction and making sure I am satisfied with my purchases. I believe that the best part of buying from Stickstones is the fact that you get to pick the brain of a very knowledgable and seasoned vaporist. He gets to know your tendencies and preferences very quickly, and makes good recommendations for accessories. I would encourage everyone to try out his services, even something as small as a lsv water wpa (wasn't satisfied with the m2m solution, now I enjoy my lsv) or the evo dry mouthpiece (enhances my experience with the minivap dry). I have no financial relationship with Stickstones but want to support one of the founders of FC.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a great experience recently with PlanetVape customer service. I was not happy with an item that I purchased several weeks earlier, I let them know my dissatisfaction, they asked what it would take to make me happy, I told them, and they accepted. I will continue to be a PlanetVape customer with great customer service like that.

Bought my second vaporizer of vaposhop.nl (i'm dutch). First one was a small wisper and now i got the volcano classic.

Both orders where in my house within 2 days, discrete packaging and very good email support.
And you have allot of options to pay (bitcoin, paypal, etc)
Will buy again!

A month or so ago I was interested in the LSV and reached out to @stickstones to help me put something together according to what i was looking for. He hooked me up and once I got everything, he was actively interested in how things were going with my new unit.

He also hooked me up with a bunch of freebies including the coolest stash jar!

thank you @stickstones !

Has anyone recently purchased anything from 1percent.com? I am strongly considering purschasing my Plenty from there considering the free Space Case grinder it comes with. Would the discount code be valid on the Plenty? Or when they say no discounts for Volcano's do they mean Storz and Bickel vaporizers? Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm, now I hate to be devil's advocate here, but why do we all of a sudden have two members with almost no posts on FC at all both plugging Namaste vapes within 6 days of each other - only to never come back and post again after the day they last posted.

I do not mean to rain on anybody's parade but I find this a little suspicious!

If these two posters are legitimate new members, then welcome :)

However, especially the second member has absolutely no post history here except for 3 one line posts in the haze competition thread.

The other member has posts in here, the haze competition thread and the crafty thread. This makes me wonder if these guys have come here only to plug namaste and whether they may be somehow involved with the company...

Apparently namaste have been in trouble here with mods for the same kind of thing before IIRC?
Again I do not mean to be nasty, just bringing it up.

Hi,

i think you are being a bit paranoid man (even researching me it seems) ;)

i'm just a guy from belgium. Don't have anything to do with namastevapes. I even asked questions on here if they are trustworthy. I took the risk and they helped me perfectly, so i felt i had to post my findings, because you really don't understand how frustrated i was reading al the bad comments about namastevapes for days, while i wanted to buy something from them and not finding a decent answer. :uhoh:

For a few days i also thought they where fake. So to help out other confused people like i was, i posted that review. And i sincerely hope it helped someone, even if it's just one person! Maybe that seems strange to you as it is to a lot of people in the world of today.

I took the ''risk'' because for europe (as far as i could find) they sell the firefly package with external battery and charger. Other shops charge the normal price for each product, so it made a lot of difference in price for me. Also at that time, the firefly 770 batteries weren't back in the shops and also most shops didn't have the firefly in stock. They where the first to get it all back in stock and they also have a better relationship with the people at firefly. 2 other shops i found online and talked to on the phone didn't, no date of return, no discount buying as To Go set.

But i get your point about the being away-since-the-post part. I have been really busy with my music and just didn't find the time to come to FC (i really need to get back to the crafty thread story, i almost fully read it last time i was here! :D still loving this sick-way-to-good vape!).

Hope this helps the confusion :D maybe vape a bit less, enjoy more? I know how it is ;)
(PS: Totally forgot about the haze competition!)

@momofthegoons please forgive him :peace: and thanks for FC in general, perfect way to find the right vapes and learn more about them!

I have ordered and been happy with the service from Namaste vapes, the only qualifying comment would be it has been bits n pieces so nothing major to cock up

however, ordered a mighty and some bits for my solo from Vapefiend here in UK yesterday, not only did they knock £10 off cos I am lovely but it turned up first thing today. cracking customer service when i realised i needed to change size of an item and all around superb comms. really cannot recommend them too much, very impressed

( same as namaste+10% discount, and greenvapes normal, but you get points back, bout £2.80) and had a voucher for 10% off next order, printed on book of rolling papers. wtf. but possibly use for a pax2 for £160 mmmm

Vapornation's discount info needs to be updated. They're not accepting the FC11 11% off offer for S&B products apparently. Was about to pull the trigger on a volcano digit, but when I tried to apply the discount it only took $3 off of the extreme q whip kit I had in the cart. Anyone know of retailers offering good discounts on the volcano digit with easy valve right now?

I wish the herbalizer had a stainless steel enclosure and better warranty, I've been eyeing it for a while, but can't justify the price tag for a plastic vape, no matter how fancy the internals, especially after reading multiple reports of the plastic warping over time.

I don't think any of the discount codes will work with any S&B products. I dont think them or MFLB allow discount codes on their products.

The Herbalizer people have been great to work with so far on warranty from everyone who has posted in the Herbalizer thread (myself included). I would not discount the value of the Herbalizer. I use it as my go to vape especially for the heat up time. It heats up faster than I can load any bowl. It can also blow up Volcano solid valve balloons without any modification. You just need to put the yellow ring on the bowl to prevent warping. With a small easy mod you can use hydratubes on it as well. Have you tried contacting herbalizer with your concerns? They might give you a discount.

Don't get me wrong John, I'm very very interested in the herbie, I just worry about durability for the price. I'm comfortable dropping $550 on a volcano digit because I inherited a 2 year old classic that I left on for nearly 3 years straight, besides when I was taking it places. After all that time the only issue I encountered was it failing to heat once due to some issue with the potentiometer, which fixed itself when I turned it off and on and jiggled the knob. I returned it to the person I inherited it from and actually tried to pull the trigger on a discounted herbie, but my bank blocked the charges. Since then I've just been thinking about all that the classic went through, only to keep kicking as hard as the day I got it. I can totally justify dropping $550 on another volcano, especially since the potentiometer (my only source of issue) has been replaced with something seemingly more durable, as I know the volcano will easily last me 5 years or more without even having to worry about a warranty. The herbie on the other hand, sounds amazing in terms of the way it functions, halogen heating sounds cool to me, especially the 5 second heat up, I just don't have any experience with its durability, and the plastic casing doesn't make me confident in its build quality, regardless of component quality I can't imagine the casing will look very good after 5 years. Also, I'm fairly invested in the easy valve, both conceptually and monetarily, and don't really want to have to learn how to ghetto rig turkey bags on a new setup either. I really wish they had a model with a brushed aluminum casing, I think I'd be more confident in that. And someone should make an accessory to make it work with easy valve bags, probably a simple silicone adapter would do it (ratchett?). I never even thought to contact the manufacturer about my concerns. I figured I was just being overly concerned.
