The Jacka was a Bay Area rap legend like Mac Dre (RIP), E-40, and Too Short. Not only was the guy ridiculously dedicated, releasing almost 50 albums between solo and collaborations he was an all around great man. Giving back to his friends and community helping tons of local talent get recognition. I went by the place where he was killed in Oakland and paid my respects. Even in the early evening two days after the shooting there was a dozen people or more crowded onto this little side street paying their respects, painting memorials, lighting candles, combusting, drinking and mourning. The man was a giant with an enormous work ethic and will be missed by so many.
