PUFFiT portable

Burn without Fire
Jeez, I can't wait for a review on one of these when they're out. I might have to get one... Also might have to wait for the blue. Will the price tag stay around $110 or is that a pre-order price???

hah! the part where he hits it was filmed in a car :) looks like some pretty decent hits eh? Anyone think the wait time between heat cycles is long enough to make you not wana use this thing?

heh, would be cool to plug it into usb for firmware updates eh? :brow:

Very interesting. I think this looks promising. Talk about stealth. Unless someone sees the vapor exhale they would just assume you are taking a long breath off an inhaler. I was impressed with the one hit of vapor I saw.

The time in between hits is not too big of a deal for me. I would be using this as a vaporizer to medicate quickly in public. The puffs would help me extend my previous high, until I would be able to medicate again with a more substantial device. I would feel way better about using this device in a public area. Even the DaVinci I usually go to my car to use.

"The PUFFiTTM works a bit different than may vaporizers you may be used to. We tried to make it simple to use on the go for a single hit or a couple quick top ups rather than designing a "hard core sit down and puff for hours" kind of vaporizer."

the size of that bowl, and the bowl stirring tool(awesome) says otherwise to me hahah

the size of my solo bowls are smaller than that....and that vape IS a hardcore sit down and puff as much as i want despite its size...if the solo can be my daily driver, i bet this puffit has the chance to do the same, and if not, could be an awesome portable for taking with you anywhere!

I served my country so I can Vape all day!
Oh wow, count me in! As far as the wait time, if I can get a Vapor draw in under one minute, I'll be able to use this when I go hunting in the mountains throughout the day. The price is very attractive as well, why can't it be July already so I can try one haha???

 Are you serious? I'm never in that much of a hurry for another hit.

The weak link in that disguise is that inhalers don't work like that. It's a medication and should be administered by doses. That's why you get a quick expulsion when you activate the inhaler. That said, I don't think anyone (except maybe someone who uses an inhaler) would give you a 2nd look if you took a hit that lasted 5 seconds or so. Most people (even a lot of 'em who know what a vape is) aren't the slightest bit suspicious of these stealthy looking portables that have been introduced in the last few years.

Used properly, a hit on an inhaler should last 3-5 seconds so even someone who used an inhaler on a regular basis shouldn't be suspicious.

Man, this thing looked great until I read it has a non-replaceable battery. Deal breaker. MFLB still killing it for stealth.

Man, that looks awesome! I think I got one of the first pre-orders, I cannot WAIT to try this out, looks stealthy as can be.

C'mon July 1st, hurry the hell up!

He did say maybe in late June, that's what I heard.

Can't wait to see a blue one available, because the video has re-sparked my interest. The screw holes make me wonder how hard it would be to take out the battery when it reaches the end of its life...
Never thought my flybox was all that stealthy as I have to conceal it both when in use and when I stow it. As far as stealth in a car goes (my main concern) an old man tobacco pipe with the automotive cigarette lighter serves better than mflb. This puffit could reinvent road chiefing if it functions as nicely as it looks. Throw an empty ventolin refill next to it, why would anyone give more than a cursory glance? Can't wait to see a blue one, may have to get a preorder in the meantime...

This looks promising - I use an athsma inhaler everyday and have for the last 35 years. Anyone here who uses one daily know the newer units are HFA propeled (Hydrofluoroalkane)and no longer utilizing Aerosol/CFC (Chlorofluorocarbons). What I'm getting at is now when inhaling its a much longer draw/puff when administering my ventolin or albuterol or proventil. That in it self is going to help keep this device discreet! It will actually seem as if I am trying to take my medicine  - I am excited about this, but at the same time I have a few concerns....

1. I could totally see a disaster when one of these pops up at a high school and the media tears the company apart for it looking so much like an inhaler.

2. Non-replaceable battery!

3. We've all seen early videos before from manufacturers and distributors alike, I want to see videos from fellow vaporists showing off the devices ability.

When these are all addressed - I'm all in!

And why is it that all portables are always matched up against the MFLB? IMO - the iolite, the Wispr, the Solo, the TV, etc...all rock the MF. Not trying to sell the MF short but really, the only thing this unit has in common with the Magic Flight is its price point. :2c:

Man, I was super excited and ready to order one. BUT. Until there is a version with a user replaceable battery, this vape will not be cost effective for a daily user. I have had my mflb for a few years and usually buy a pack or two of batteries per year because they start to get weak. Am I supposed to buy a 100-200 dollar vaporizer every year when the batteries start to go bad? What are the specs on the battery, does anyone know?

Good point on the 'disaster waiting to happen' part. Normally there could be a 'legitimate medical reason' possibly applied to lessen the blowback, but if it 'pops up' as you predict, I suspect the press will be negative.....

Unfortunately, the stealth aspects of this and similar devices can combine with Testosterone poisoning and make guys "brave" when they should be cautious......it's gonna happen, no doubt long before any of those monkeys writes a single line of Shakespeare?

I think the MFLB link is obvious and more accurate than using units with larger capacities, bigger and more powerful batteries and larger packages. If price is the topic, suggest Iolite is also basically the same price? If it comes down to what is small, not too obvious and does a great job with good herb, I think MFLB is definitely on 'the short list', probably at the top?

1. Your over thinking this waaaaaaaaaaaay to much.

2. you dont need to replace the battery u just charge it? if your battery faults then use the warranty like a normal person.

3. that video i posted was shot and produced by me! not the manufacturer. hence why the hit was taken in my car.

mod note- Please review the rules page. Your comment "like a normal person" isn't the kind of language we'd like to see on the forum.
