A couple further evalutations on the PNWT.

Change water after each use, I think since there is so little, the smell really sticks in the water. Too much taste is lost vs. direct draw. For my vape, there is not enough resistance. Normally I can inhale very slowly for ~10+ seconds, slowly roasting a bowl, leaving some greens and having a couple more healthy hits. Using the PNWT I can roast a whole bowl in that same 10s or less. So, clearly the PNWT is helping a lot with lowering vapor temp since I can inhale a lot more at once. But, at the same time, it feels like its far more wasteful when efficiency is concerned. Maybe I just have to conciously take smaller hits when using the PNWT. :ko:

I've found the top holes that allow the water to fall back into the perc chamber seem to get plugged quickly with the tap water I've been using. I'm going to try an ISO clean and then see if distilled water helps eliminate that issue. If its plugging those upper slits, its bound to plug the showerhead slits soon or later.

I feel like the bottom could be a bit 'flatter', when I set it down it feels like it wants to rock back n forth a bit...and just is a tad unstable. Make sure you push it out of the way while you prep. I've bumped it a couple times and it wobbled back n forth on a balance point.

Overall I feel it does a good job of cooling vapor for my needs. Its a bit awkward to use with a log; its just not natural to use my log 'up right'. And if I weren't using an SS or brass bowl, I don't think the herb would 'pack into' and stick to a [larger] glass bowl as well.

I used the PNWT with my DBV (and a 14mm adapter).

It worked okay. Nothing special. I'd recommend using a much larger piece.

The PNWT just can't keep up with a DBV!

Get one of these and you wont have to worry about the bottom not being flat enough

yeah, using the PWT vertically on a log presents some issue like herb spillage. still, for a little change and those looking for a Da Buddha-like set-up, i sometimes position my log vape horizontally, and attach glass bowl with silicon stem connected to the PWT. kinda like a log vape da-buddha style.

I've been using mine on my UD a lot ... I really like the low resistance. Once I'm done with my hit I pull the tube to clear while leaving the gong on the heater core. I've just been leaving the gong there between hits too unless I want to stir or if I know I'll be taking a break before the next hit then I'll pull the gong.

PBW and hot water rinses then use Rez block or NACE works great!

also CLR works wonders on hard mineral stains too. Try to use distilled water and some of the other adjuncts that were offered as well to keep it from happening afterwards. CLR, if small rig, a shot glass or 2 worths, (F-bomb,PNWT not even a shots glass I would think) slightly diluted with a bit of water, mechanical agitation and maybe keep it soaking in the can for a while after wards to make sure, shake again dump, rinse with cold tap* ,dump it out flush with distilled and either put her up or fill her up and get going to the bake sale!!

ps wear gloves,if prolonged use,it will cause some irritation, but I have done it with out gloves, and noticed afterwards, skin was real dry and seemed to remove a bit of callouses but nothing ER bound or problematic later on but best to be safe side and avoid contact and do *rinse it out thoroughly.

I keep having a problem with my gong sticking in my PWT. This time I decided to try something to see if it would help, and so far it has. I put a tiny bit of Grinder Grease on the gong only, and that seems to have solved the problem. :)

great vid. i saw that deal, but the people over at the mflb thread got me thinking too much. while i was on the fence, i missed it. never mind, since the new price of 69 dollars isn't that bad either.
could you review this watertool on your blog, in combination with all the portables, that you own? like to step by. :) by the way, you seem to have missed the recent developments around the zenpen grasshopper.

Sure can, I'll take a picture this weekend next to the F-bomb when I meet up with @King.
Then get a review up on the pinnacle sometime next week.

I've been tweeting news lately, but you are right about actually creating a news story for the Grasshopper. I've gone and created a post just now highlighting their last three videos and explaining the legal snafu. Have a good one and I appreciate the feedback :)

have you tried pouring all the water out, then slowly refilling until the water is like a millimeter above the slits?
