I could most definitely use one of those. A friend of mine that owns www.boroboutique.com owns something very similar to that... maybe even the exact same one, for all of his higher end pieces. I'd pull the trigger.

That's exactly what I have for my Cloud (and accessories). I'll probably purchase another (maybe slightly thinner if possible) for my MiniVAP with accessories as well for travel (I have a small 14mm Hydratube type piece that I like to use with it on the go ... a Zapubbler--originally sold for the CRZ)

Trigger pulled. I took this one, the others were too tiny to put a decent water tool with the MV and all accessories. With this one I can carry and protect whatever I want

Good for you, it looks like a quality case. I like the waterproof o-ring. I tend to go for soft cases as the hard ones get a lot of attention (too much for my liking).

I will keep it inside a larger cotton bag when carried around, I really don't like the kind of attention you are talking about ;)
I took it hard cause I'm really paranoid, I would be shaky carrying some glass in a regular case

I think I'm following your lead... I could definitely use a case like this to carry my little guys.

Love my pelican 1200 and I can completely reline it with brand new foam for 15 bucks. I plant to get a bigger one just cause I want a bigger case for a tube I have coming.

How do you all get your cases fitted for your glass? I'm looking to pick up one or two of these for my glass, but I wasn't sure how to get the foam situated.

Is it possible to just use a razor/exacto knife to trim the foam into shape?

I just ordered an 1120 but don't have any experience. Looks like you just trim the foam to do whatever you need though.

The foam is designed to be easy plucked into the shape you want

Lol I see my 1450 is a bit heavy weight compared to the models you guys have. I'm still waiting for all my glass to be gathered so I can pick what pieces I'm going to make the foam fitting for.

I found this video to be helpful when I bought my SeaHorse case which is a less expensive alternative to the Pelican cases.

Alternatively there is a company that will custom cut your foam for you. If I remember correctly you can buy a case from them (I can't remember which brand of case they sell) and have them do the custom cutting at the same time or you can order the custom cut foam for your existing case. I don't have a link handy but you should be able to find it with a search of FC (probably the Cloud thread) or the web.

Wow thanks man, I hadn't heard of seahorse cases! The wallet seems to like them a little bit better haha. Also thank you for the vid!

Hey Roger, just picked up the "same" case from ALT with a nice Scientific logo on the top. Will let you know if the quality is like Pelican... Paid 90$ CDN + 17$ shipping for the 16"x15"x6,5". My glass collection is growing and I like to use it everywhere I go :)

I can also recommend seahorsecases. These cases are every bit as rugged as pelican, for cheaper. The one I ordered from their website was free of logos, which I also like.

Cases and prices are nice, but they charge an arm & leg for shipping. For example, they quoted me $40 shipping for a $15 case :( I hope it's better if you live in the states.

Just watched the tutorial on how to cut your own foam. I was wondering how there was cases for every item lol. Anyone know which case I would need to carry my Cloud, cloudbuddy, and clear matrix? I want one that can fit both with enough space so they fit. This is the only way I would ever travel with it, so others can experience the greatness.
