Coarse steel wool soaked in ISO works best for me. Just scrub and its brand new.

Can you please elaborate on this a bit further? Sounds intriguing but I am not entirely sure what you mean. Thanks

Steel wool or a safety pin or exact-o knife, also I've heard that heating it up red hot will make it come out like new.

just cleaned mine after using it for 5 full charges. (~20-25 packs) It didn't need it (by this i mean it needed it, it just didn't need it to work properly) Like natrat said, it literally takes the time it takes to quickly brush your teeth, probably less, more like the time it takes to wipe your ass haha. What really prompted me to clean it was I just got my lube in the mail (they gave me two packs and some stickers and a little magnet.) To those that already use this, I am supposed to get the metal under the slider ring correct? I used it vary sparingly, put it under the ring as best I could then wiped the excess. This works so smooth now, it works better than it did brand new out of the box. Two thumbs up. Still no fucking response from their customer support about the charge time being double every one elses. Meh. Hope they get back to me soon.

Darkrom, How do you know you will be receiving it on Wednesday? Does Ploom send you an email or is that through tracking? Thanks.

they do two day shipping on most of their stuff
I heat up my pax to high empty before using it, I blow through it instead of inhaling into it. I dont generally use iso on anything but the mouth piece. The oven may take some maintenance but I havent tackled that problem yet.
Noticed you're in MA, if anyone else wants one in the MA/RI area, Kind Connection is an official dealer of Pax, they are off Thayer St. in Providence. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kind-Connection/19791668333?fref=ts

let it charge a bit, dont want your first pax to be a dull one. Let it heat up once on its own on high til its green- other than that, its all preference. Cheers!

Congrats! You'll love it. My best tip is let it cool off b4 putting it on its charger. This keeps the hot resin from working its way down the tube towards the MP b4 cooling.

    Nice avatar! R u a lions fan or r u from Mi?

just got 3 packs of "lube" and 3 X stickers in the mail today. Going to lube'r up and see how it goes. Luckily I don't try to reclaim from the Pax, so... here we go. Put a bit on the mp and it went right to warming, no temp light...so far. I didn't even really clean it, just wiped the outside a little. I am curious about how long term this works.

reclaim- haha ewww. Hey you ever time your full charge time? You seem very reputable :) On a side note http://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-SwissTool-Cordura-Pouch-Pouches/dp/B001C53H84/ref=sr_1_78?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1357609782&sr=1-78&keywords=swiss army This seems to fit the pax dimensions perfectly. I have their competitors multi-tool and it fits perfect, but the case is extremely rigid, so I am going to order this and hope it works. I'll let you all know!
Edit- http://www.amazon.com/Swiss-Army-33212-X-Large-Zermatt/dp/B000HCNDIW/ref=pd_sim_sg_9 this has a steel tool and built in holder for said steel tool. This may be cool! hmmm decisions.

No I am in California. It was shipped Fri and I recd today from Ploom.

Great TIP. Thanks. I am a Lions fan from Cali  Been following them since the Rodney Peete/Barry Sander days!

It looks like out of the box, the PAX is charged.. so here it goes my first time! Let me search here how you guys are packing the load!

    edit
    after 10 minutes...

Wow I am getting good vapors/clouds from this small lil thing. Very much like my only other vaporizer, the Budha. This is so COOL! :D I used the end of a chop stick to pack it tight!

Also a fan since the peete/sanders era! But I live in mi to boot!
I pack mine fairly tight with a good medium fine grind. Seems to work perfect for me.

Outa the box it has a slight charge, It'll go dead fast. I grind mine and then pinch it into the shape of the oven as best I can, then fill the empty space with sift. I use the lid the pack it tight, Don't use the lid to do this once its warm though.

Yeah I got pritty excited when I saw that! These come in black for 4 bucks more. http://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-X-Large-Zermatt-Leather-33213/dp/B000Q9C51M/ref=sr_1_476?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1357610997&sr=1-476&keywords=swiss army its brown in the pic but it says black in the description.

mod note: Dear Mr.Krinkle, for a few posts it seemed like you understood the back-to-back thing but now you're having a relapse. Please don't do this any more, thanks. Two posts merged.

It's so funny, since receiving my lube from Pax last week, I have not had the temp light issue once, not one damn time, and I use my Pax daily. I'm just going to keep using it until I need the lube.

I'm not questioning the earlier poster who advised not to buy a Pax based on his experience, but his experience has not at all been mine. Have I experienced the temp light issue? Yes, although once I fine-tuned my cleaning methods, it has not been a problem at all. I "deep clean" my Pax about every 3-4 sessions, and I just don't have many issues anymore. I am wondering if that guy has the original mouthpiece.

My advice to someone who is interested in a Pax: Know what you are buying. This device CAN be a little finicky, but it is easily manageable if you take care of it, and the care is not as involved as many make it out to be. Plus, Ploom's customer service is proven quality, and they give a 10-year warranty. It's a no-brainer to me, and I have not once regretted buying my Pax. Yes, the battery does diminish over time, but show me a battery vape that doesn't. If you want a vape that you can misuse and neglect, this one is not the one for you, but don't be scared of the rumors either. This is an excellent vape.

I did the SAME EXACT THING! And what's worse...I'm the one who put that on the Vaporpedia page! Of course, it was after the fact, but still...

You'll be fine. Probably knocked a couple years off your life, but it's the final years and they suck anyway. ;)

Its a good idea to let it idle burn after cleaning the oven or lid too. I am looking at it now, and a significant amount of vapor/smoke is coming off the oven when I hold it under a LED light just after cleaning.- Finally heard back from Ploom, They are telling me an hour for charge. SOoooo my replacement may be going back... blahhh. Just got used to having this thing! I may be a bit turned off to the lube, accidentally got a tidbit on my lip and it tastes like pure battery acid, I know it says food safe and all, but I dont really want anything like this any where near somthing I'll be using to smoke.

Traded another member my T1 stuff for his Pax stuff. I figure since I'm getting the cera eventually, I can part with my beloved T1 to give the Pax a try. I've been interested in it since launch.

I am charging it now and after my next session, I am going to clean it then let it idle burn for about 5-10 minutes. I notice a ton of residue on the oven door after just one session and wiped it. I can now understand how the build up of all this residue can cause problems.
