I go where the thrills are
f that! I canceled my preorder with pax and went with vapeworld. 6months no interest with my PayPal credit there, and I will get it 3 days earlier for cheaper

Voting with your feet. I like the cut of your jib.

Got my Pax 2 at the NY pre-release party last night AMA! :)
The flavor is outstanding and I couldn't believe how long it continued to produce large amounts of vapor. Hands down the best vape I've used. (have the Pax 1, Indica, Firefly, Extreme Q)

thanks now for this pick!

it appears that pax2's body is made from aluminum (im not realy sure but just guessing from the way it looks in this engraving here)

the colored pax2 could be susceptible to minor dings, scrapes, and scratches so that it reveals the raw aluminim silver color such as in this photo

to anyone deciding on what color to chose for... i think go for the silver one so that way the scratches and dings wont show up... but then just buy some type of black stealth case or topaz colored case if you like that

I went with Charcoal as it seems the most stealthy. Also, the black rectangle on the back for the battery charging doesn't stick out on the charcoal unit like it does on the others.

I followed Bermans lead; just canceled my Pax Labs order and ordered through VapeWorld instead. They said they will ship today and I paid $8 for 2-days shipping. It still ended up being cheaper. Win!

scott dunlap from pax wrote from page 5

"It (pax2) also adjusts the temp of the oven based on how much you are drawing on each draw, since the act of drawing also cools the materials."

"It (pax2) also adjusts oven temp as you draw, since the act of drawing cools the contents.

first before i ask the question, thank you mr. scott and also forum admin/mods for your work

i can take a long slow draw and both

a long fast draw....

how does the pax2 adjust the oven... does the pax2 adjust the oven according to draw time? or does the pax2 adjust the oven according to the draw speed?

And ploom couldn't have been nicer about it. Canceled my preorder quickly and the refund is on the way. Should have my Pax 2 from vape world tomorrow

The company is no longer Ploom, they're PAX Labs now. It makes sense that they'd do that for you since they want you to be a happy Pax 2 owner. Their beef is with VapeWorld, who apparently jumped the gun in shipping the new Pax.

I just cleaned mine for the second time, which happens to be once per charge. I thought there would be more particles trapped under the screen than I actually found. There was almost nothing, probably because I haven't used a really fine grind yet. What I did find was resin accumulating right at the mouth of the vapour tube. I suspect that if you let this build-up go, it will become a nuisance to clean and might even impede the vapour flow. The tube itself has some resin in it but not much, as I could tell from the ISO-dipped pipe cleaner. Just like in Sneaky Pete's video, the rim of the Pax 2 had a small amount of resin right where the mouthpiece slit was. This wiped off easily. (Incidentally, you wouldn't see anything if you used the flared MP because the vapour flow never touches the rim.) I ran an ISO-dipped Q-tip through the vapour path channels of the flat MP and came up with a really faint trace of resin.

The oven walls and floor were turning golden brown from resin, and the screen was even browner. This is where almost all of the cleaning effort goes. The resin around the air tube entrance was easy to remove with ISO and a Q-tip, since I heated it up before I started. The oven walls and floor cleaned up nicely with a piece of Magic Eraser with a dab of ISO. The screen responded well to the same treatment. For those of you who insist on removing every trace (e.g. for airplane trips) please note that you'll have great difficulty getting everything along the line the floor meets the wall. I wouldn't care myself, but I know some of you will.

The whole thing, start to finish, was done in less than five minutes.

with my older pax, I found that if I had residue builing up, I just made sure I had an empty oven, heat up the unit and swab the warming oven (on low heat ) with a dry qtip every other day or so kept that hard brown residue from building up, and around the top edge where crumbs would build up. Only took a few seconds, and if the air path is also getting some build up, while the oven is still warm, I would push a dry pipe cleaner in there as well and most of the oil residues would just wipe away, key here is warming it up first to loosen up the oils and doing it frequently, say at night when you are done using it for the day and ready to charge it. It's a quick process that buys a little time between the iso cleanings. If you wait for a week or longer, you will be constantly cooking older residue to the oven as you vape new loads, so the longer you wait, the more work you will have to get it clean.

Well I really hope vapeworld is still sending my unit out because I ordered from there this morning and paid for overnight shipping

Thank you @scott_dunlap looking forward to it!
I recently went on australianvaporizers.com.au and they have the Pax 2 advertised! However i will be waiting for Pax to go international :)

Thanks! Direct is the best way to ensure the warranty holds. I appreciate the link too - we actually don't have any authorized retailers in AUS at the moment, so I'm curious to find out where they will be getting their PAX 2's. ;)

Is anyone using a folded pipe screen for a space saver? That was a must for me in the pax 1. Also are people charging out of the box or is it good to go?

... Pax labs should start shipping. I had my doubt where to place my order. I was going with vapeworld and changed my mind, because I thought they would have it later.

PAX Labs begun shipping this week, so keep your eyes peeled at your mailbox. I see the Device Registration database picking up, so people are getting them!

That has to be such an exciting moment to see those numbers tick up, after all the hard work that went into getting to this point. Congratulations to the whole crew that made this vaporizer a possibility.

I recently bought a used Pax1 (in great condition) - look forward to giving it another chance. Hopefully I can compare it to the Pax2 in several months (when VAS strikes again!)

Glad I paid for overnight shipping and vapeworld didn't even ship my package! They said they will refund the shipping but I want this bad boy tomorrow

Not sure if that had anything to do with pax being pissed they shipped early

scott_dunlap how about authorized retailers in Europe? May I suggest "la centrale vapeur" for France? Done some business with them and have nothing to complain about.

Was going to take the leap and buy it from vape world and forward it to France afterwards but I still have some hope that Pax will finally come to Europe :)

We currently don't have any authorized retailers outside of the US and Canada, but our goal is to be anywhere and everywhere! Keep the feedback coming on where you guys want to see us pop up and I'll be sure to forward it along :)

Wow, just checked on the Pax 2 on vapeword and had a bit of stick-shock, $379 seems really expensive. The AA was only $199, is the Pax 2 twice as good?

No, it is $379 CDN. Also sold out at the moment.
So it works out to be about $300USD. Thats what I paid after taxes. That lower price was also for limited time, so I don't think its fair to compare that price. The current price for the AA is only $20 less than the PAX 2.

For European retailers I can also suggest LA central vapeur...

For distributors in Europe I guess vaposhop is your best bet....
