Okay a bit of an over-exaggeration on the title but does anyone have the issue of once they start vaping they just keep going. Sometimes I have so many tasty strains I end up with nights where I inhale more vapor than air lol. How do you guys moderate during a sesh to stop yourself from vaping more than necessary. It's like pringles, once you pop you can't stop lol.

No idea what he just said^

But I find myself there all the time- it's a big issue when you get 2 or 3g at once.
I just grind up a fair amount and say "that's my session"
If you gotta fill a grinder to the max, go for it- but I'd suggest trying to stop there haha

..At least until you're starting to come down- then try taking high temp hits to knock you out.
IME many vaporists I know forget that the higher temp vapor will actually cause a distinctly different interaction due to CBD and CBN slowing down the absorption of THC.

Could you explain this part to me, please? If the high temp slows down absorption of THC, isn't that a bad thing?
    Also, what's your avatar? :)

Yes, I often find myself as medicated as I could ever get and still vaping... just because I like it! It's actually what I consider the biggest disadvantage to vaping. I can't seem to keep 7 grams for more than a week, but when I was combusting it wasn't nearly as enjoyable, so it would last longer.

sweet, sweet vapor is nothing like pringles ... ugh, that crap, while edible, is not even food.

bah, don't mind me, i've been on a whole food/real food kick for the last 30 years or so, so i may be biased.

Hi I'm one of those people who loves vaping. Mrs. 215z thinks I like vaping per se more than I like consuming ganja itself.

Back when I combusted, I'd smoke anything. In fact I was all about schwag, not just because of the sativa but because $100 bought me a whole lot more to smoke. I still can't blow smoke rings, but I enjoyed rolling smoke (later vapor) in my mouth and blowing clouds.

If you are like me, I suggest finding something else to vape besides hard buds. If you have a chance to try out ecig hardware, see if you like vaping Vegetable Glycerin. It tastes slightly sweet and produces thick velvety clouds. It is hella cheap, and relatively safe to vape.

    Salutations MGG,

Nah, just what it takes to think that could be the BL board!... [IMG]

Hummm... Lets see what you mean. [IMG]

I see. Great slogan, i'll suggest this if/when an opportunity presents itself, using that exact quote quite possibly!!

Now which vaporizer comes with a top that can pop? Euh...

Each his own habits, i'm not sure our respective rituals even compare but i feel like asking about bowl size and setup. In any case, if one likes to "sample" the neo-culinary aspects of dry cannabis it may not be a good idea to actually bake cookies to be eaten, for example... You vaporize instead. But one scenario doesn't necessary exclude the other, in my own case i get the Sampling and the Cookies using a modest modded VaporGenie Classic pipe; dosage is around 8 pipe-bowls a gram or 125 mg, more or less... Depending when the cannabic day starts i may consume between 2 and 5, 6 or 7 bowls until i hit the matress.

So it's likely our playfields differ in more ways than one but relatively to your insatiable "apetite" i'd say after a while it's not impossible to acquire perspective that paves the way to more choices. I've tried balloons on an electric table unit using a glass accessory to match its aluminium crucible, then added water and then even came to develop an alternative cannabic conditioning method for direct inhalation: FogBong! ... None but the later option could provide me the kind of relaxing experience i was seeking, not being aware i might eventually acquire intolerances in the future.

Anyway, with a butane-operated pipe all i need is something to drink between tokes while the smoker-like dimension of it renders my ritual so much more enjoyable - and relatively mobile too. So in short this is all about moisture and not temperature which doesn't seem to cause that much concern while i can't deal well without proper moisturization of my cannabic vapour.

That's where it becomes clear why the setup matters: for me the HerbalAire was a "locomotive" (it rendered me wasteful) while my self-moisturizing pipe works "on-demand". Those are 2 very different vaporisation techniques using a very same herbal blend, with very different results...

Yeah I don't know how lwien uses so little.

My biggest problem is looking at the last session and thinking, "Hey, that's all I used, might as well pack another". :p

I've found that switching to a vape with a smaller load size forces me to use less and vape longer on that smaller load. The VXC is just too easy to fill an ELB or two or three and milk up big chambered glass.

Regardless, the only thing that can really slow my consumption down is needing to be conservative by necessity. So just try buying less,.

For me, I stop for 15 min after taking my first two hits. I've found that in most instances, I'm as high as I want to be, but if not, just one more hit does it for me. There is a specific place that I like to get to, and for me, I have absolutely no desire to overshoot my flight path.

I used to have a one-hit rule, that I could only take one big hit per sesh. IDGAF anymore, but it did work then.

I am often in this situation, I usually leave the room or just turn on a video game where I can't vape and play at the same time.

You know, that is a good suggestion. I recently decided to give up combusting completely and kicked the ciggs. To help with that I bought an e-cig. Now I have a dozen flavors and even some non-nicotine that I enjoy. I love it.

It's not bad, because the slight changes in absorption rates are also what characterizes the differences in strains, and change the way it affects you- as in each strain has a different balance of cbd, cbn, etc, so theoretically you can manipulate such interactions by changing the temperature.

If I vape too much I start to feel negative effects. I feel I have a decent tolerance, so that amount is subjective to me etc. Its not really about how much I vape, its about how much I vape too quickly. If I vaped 3 bowls filled half way over 2 hours, I'd feel much better than if I vaped one fat bowl all at once. I don't like the initial rush feeling. I do like hash oil, but same thing. Small dabs and many of them to get to the precise level, not one big glob and "overshooting" and feeling negative.

I know what you mean about the not stopping.. For me, when I vape, I always wanna vape more afterwards and just feel like I could keep going. I feel like I have no balance though afterwards. Anyone else lose their balance? lol

Usually, I'll want to vape more, but my relatively low tolerance prevents me from doing so!

Thanks for all the responses guys, i'm wanting to cut down how much I consume per sesh because I can wake up feeling really cloudy headed and lethargic the next day and I also get past the point of 'sociable' high and end up just couch-locked haha. It's not the lack of variety that's the issue, if anything too much variety is the issue. I have cookies, multiple oils, multiple strains, multiple glass pieces and vapes so i'm always thinking of a new combo to do.

    Salutations MGG,

So you've got your hands full, except i gather the FogBong is actually alien to you, though considering i'm the only one to have used it anyway then i guess little else appears to be missing.

    Good day, have fun!!

You see!! It is the ritual. It has always been so.
Whether many passing a pipe or solo sucking a stem, the ritual attracts. Often the need for a session is not the medicine, but the process.
Stash smell and grind and fill and fire (so to speak), sit and sip and slip into the sweetness of it all.
But eventually all good sessions must end with the oven baked and emptied and set aside.
Then how soon does our existential emptiness, small before the truth of time, feed the need for the seekers' rituals.

^That's a pretty contentious issue, just look at the comments. Also, not on-topic?

I personally sometimes feel that it's a by-product of my first vape being portable, maybe, which meant that I could vape anywhere, any time (and all the time)! It got me into the habit of vaping everywhere and then I eventually just couldn't stop. Now I have a desktop but I spend most of my time in the house anyway. If I'm going out, I hit a few huge clouds before I do.

While I have the occasion where I do end up vaping too much, so me vaping has reduced what I use to 40% of when I was smoking pure bongs. The whole reason I wanted to vape was for health and cost, so vaping lots would make the change pointless (for me anyway).

I also find the munchies when I vape too much and pigging out on food makes me feel shit about myself so hate doing it.

As I usually use my volcano (but recently got a solo for portable, its incredible!) on a work day I try and use 1 chamber 3 times of 0.15-0.2g so monday to friday is done for less than 1g. Weekends I try and limit to 2 chambers (6 balloons) and worst case 3 (9 balloons) but always feel really dopy and fall asleep so trying to use less but always is a challenge. So on a good week, 9 chambers using 1.35-1.8g per week, opposed to 7g when combusting. That said, on bad weeks it can get up to 3-3.5g but trying to stop this as has a negative impact on my mood.

The motivation I use is I have always said to myself if I became a lazy stoner who wasted their life then I would have to quit, so staying active stops this from happening and only really possible when not very stoned.
