Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

Hey I bought a omicron lite with the new kiss cart not too long ago. Everything is great, hits are very flavorful and smooth. I just have one problem with it, if I thread the kiss cartridge all the way to my omicron and hit it i just get 3 blinks so I need to thread it slightly less and it works fine. Is there any possible fix for this? Thank you.

No fix needed. Thats normal. Its not supposed to be tightened all the way down.

I got my new ti-KISS cart today, thank you @THC SCIENTIFIC for taking care of me. I am very happy with the results!

I remember a member saying to hold the button for a few seconds before using for the first time. I believe this was done in order to burn off any machining oils that may be on the KISS cartridge. Do you recommended this or can I just load and go right out of the box?

any "machining oils" to be concerned about? I'm guessing he was talking about oils or substances from the factory they were made in.

*where are these made?

I said that. This is due to my OCD, and isn't anything W9 has explicitly stated you need to do. I'm going off of anecdotal experiences where I've had a slight bit of "vapor" burn off of brand new carts.

Now keep in mind, I'm not saying that this is a danger or that you'll get cancer or something. In fact I do it for better flavor more than anything else (again, I'm assuming this would effect flavor, I have no data to back this up other than personal experience with other carts).

Whats the downside here? You dont need to heat the coils up to red hot, and you only need to do this once or twice before loading for the first time. I cant see this negatively effecting cart life... at least not in my own experience. Remember, Ive had 4 different KISS carts and I've never had one burn out on me.

Also W9 stuff is made in China. Now before you give me that look, this doesnt mean anything. Some peopme seem to think that Apple products are some magical gift that fell out of God's ass. Those, too, are made in China. The point here is that while W9 uses Chinese factories to make their parts, they make sure the quality of the parts and materials is there instead of just buying the cheapest Chinese made shit they can find like other companies.

what is the best cartridge to use with CO2 Oil on my Omicron-Lite?

I put some CO2 oil on the KISS cart but it doesn't seem to work that great, it's hard to get the oil ONLY on the coil without it running off into the cup. Should the KISS take CO2 oil? or is there something better from W9?

Not to hi-jack this thread but I also have some Gentlemans V2 cartridges...would those be better for oil?

I found that the traditional W9 Essential Oils cart (the long skinny metal ones) with AMAZING with CO2 oil. Id load those up with that stuff every time over trying to use a KISS cart.

Pick up a couple 2.4ohm 3.7v Essential Oil carts. Those should work very well for that purpose. Just remember not to load more than 0.5g in each cart.

Thanks I am going to order some tonight...I really enjoyed the taste and high form the CO2 last night, I jsut didn't like how fast it disappeared. I will have to get better at not burning to much at a time.

Read up on how to use those carts properly. Thankfully, loading is a breeze with C02 oil and it requires basically zero priming.

Is it bad for the device, if you hold the button down for more than 7 seconds?

What's the maximum safe hold time?

Do you have to wait in between doses, for it to cool down?

BentSpace,

canj00digit?

All my days in a daze...
Got a Micron Mini on it's way from VaporWarehouse. It's just so damn cute and stealthy that I couldn't resist.
Anything I should know and/or watch out for? I won't have any issues charging the 14250s in a Nitecore will I?

Asking questions is fun! :)

I've been loading my KISS cart to the rim. I'm not getting much vapor. Nothing on the first hit. Takes at least 3 to get anything effective. And each time I have to fight clogs, but they do clear after a couple seconds of drawing. What am I doing wrong?

You're loading the KISS cart to the rim, that's the problem. You are over filling, and it can't get any air flow.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you could load up to .5g. Guess I read it wrong.

I use just enough oil to cover the coil, small BB size load, get a few hits, reload. Kiss works no problem like this, you may see some oil go down into the cup. Try not to smother the coil, just barely cover it. If you can't handle your oils to make a small bead to drop on top, just melt a small drop or two onto the wick. It's not meant to handle a heavy load. You want enough oil to keep the wick saturated, but not so much air can't get through once it starts to melt down.

So in addition to placing a small amount on top of the coil, I should also try to keep the oil flowing into the cup as minimum as possible ?

Yes. Although D9 states to load between 0.1 and 0.3 I would say you want to keep your dab size to around 0.05. It will keep the cart cleaner longer and will allow effortless hits with lots of vapor. I have found that whatever oil falls into the dish primarily remains there.

My experience w/ KISS cart involves .1 > .3 g over coil ,which usually lasts from 12

hrs > 36 hrs ( when clouds slow down ,after a count to 6 + ( 6 count no draw ,then 2

-3 count "pull" ) ~ when sequence runs down to 10 + 4 ( time to refill/

and,or/recharge )

I suppose I should avoid touching the coil. I can see that with oil you can let it drip onto the coil. I haven't yet used wax. What techniques can be used to lay wax onto the coil?

Looking to get either Persei Ti or Omicron Ti...the 7.4v Persei seems to have a few more upgrade opinions but the Omni seems more travel friendly. Looking to use Co2 or honey oil. Any suggestions as to what is the better option?

There are several different methods that you can use to apply your wax to the coil without damaging it. If your wax is stable at room temperature and you can easily handle it then the best way would be to roll it into a tiny log or ball and place it gently directly on top of the coil with your finger. Another good method which I frequently use is to apply the amount I want to load onto a toothpick and place it directly on to the coil. If you choose to use a tool to apply your wax make sure it is not metal, as metal tools have frequently damaged coils. One more method you can try is to apply your dab to a tool (metal) and then hold a lighter next to it and allow the wax to drip off of the tool and on to the coil.
Ultimately whatever method you choose will be fine. Just take care not to make too much contact with the coil itself.
