Hey all, I'm sorry if this question has been answers but I can't find it.

I just got an omicron v2 and a Hercules 3.7, but for the life of me I can't get any clouds. I taste the warm air but no vapor. My heating element gets extremely hot, but not red hot.

Is there a specific technique to load it with ground herb? Is my hearing element not getting hot enough? Is there a manual? I can't figure out how to use this device and I want to use it so bad!

Oh and omicron works fine with standard cartridge and a gram of wax :-)

Since you asked a question that's unclear to me, can you rephrase it for me? ---> "I'm told it happens to nice people too?"

Besides the info was for the posters who were looking for the exact cells Super-T has in stock. Somehow it seems that every post isn't just for OF's gratification? lol Yes, it's too bad they don't have any that you want. But they had the ones being sought by the people looking for them, so too bad for you and yippee for the people who needed them ;-)

The Hercules 3.7v still is the older version, but once we get the new parts ready we will ship them out to people who ordered them, as long as they verify their order number and names on the order form. Once the order number has been verified thats it, so please do not let anyone see your information as they can use it to get free replacements.

All right, let's take it slowly then. I said "Sounds great, too bad they don't have any of the ones I want...... That happens sometimes.

I'm told it happens to nice people too?"

"Sounds great" means I think it's a good thing that people looking for that cell can get them. Implied is 'it's a good source by the looks of it'. I know it's silent really, no sound, if that's the point?

"too bad they don't have any of the ones I want......" means I find it unfortunate that while I don't need that particular battery right now, the two different ones that I do want, while listed, show out of stock when I tried to order them there......I found that unfortunate. Please forgive me for considering it from a self interest POV at that point, something really not uncommon around here I thought?

"That happens sometimes" means sometimes what I want and find hard to locate turns out to not be available when a web site indicates it should be.....

"I'm told it happens to nice people elsewhere" is, I admit, somewhat whimsical. It infers I don't think I'm a nice person (something you seem to agree with?) and while I don't know for sure (not being a nice person myself), I've been told that's the case. Perhaps I was told so in the past sort of thing.

Where I grew up that was known as humor. I'm sorry it didn't please you.....but that was the intent. So you don't care for most of it, how's the "Sounds great" part?

Sounds great! The assumptions about my lack of affinity for you are comical but more laughter around here is good. Come on! You know I respect you by the way I look up your robes on your pedestal

Where did I say I wasn't "pleased"? Let's take it slowly then....

Grind well... and herb should be dry.
    Fill chamber about half.
When you get that warm air - shake, (keep holding button..) and draw, you will get one good sip, ... hold it, and shake, and draw... repeat this and do not exhale until you have done it 3-4 times, to release a good sized cloud.

Thank you for the reply Vitolo! I have tried your technique but I still can't get it to cloud.
Is there supposed to be something in the Hercules that separates the heating element and the herb, or is the herb supposed to just fall around the element?
Right now I am grinding, then filling through the top of the metal cartridge while its screwed into the heating element part of the cartridge.
I'm getting a small puff now and then but nothing that can accumulate to create a cloud

No, this is a conduction vape, only stuff in actual contact with the hot part gets hot. Everything else in the load has to wait until the material touching it gets hot. Grind it fine, try packing it in progressively harder, you want more material in contact with the hot part to increase vapor production. Try a toothpick or something to help that part.

Also don't draw too fast. Vapor can only be made so fast, pulling harder dilutes what you get (not good) and cools things off slowing production (also not good).

Best advice is to experiment some and 'follow your results'.

    Good luck.

My AW IR 14500 came in today. Shipped quickly from altsmoke.com, $8 each

    http://altsmoke.com/review/product/list/id/1103/

Is it in my best interest dollar wise to purchase the Herc chamber now, and then have it replaced when the new version comes out, or just wait for the new version? After all these add ons I need to save every dollar here :)

update: these batteries rock, definitely recommend them! brought some nice clouds back!

I received the 3.7 Hercules today and tried it out. Filled it almost halfway 3x with 2 different strains but even though I held the button down most of the time, shook it after each inhale, I still wasn't able to create an actual cloud after going through 2 batteries and attempting it for almost a hour. I was getting small puffs and it tasted pretty good a couple times but never got anywhere near what Vitolo achieved even after attempting his method several times. I was using the HVD 7.4 top and had fully charged batteries and used them until the lit became dim. At the end of each session, the herb is golden brown and I probably went through at least half a gram so I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to what I could be doing to improve?

I am still using the original batteries that I got from the 3.7 and waiting on the 14500s to get here, which should be by tomorrow so I'll give ya an update when I try those out.

I am using a regular Omicron V2 (not the newest)
    I am using a regular 3.7 battery.
    My herb is extra dry.
I am about to make a video....... no editing, start to finish from jar of meds to vapor.....
Here I go- (I will add the video to this post as an edit)

    EDIT:
Here goes... Taste and then once you taste it....It is the shake (little shakes suffice)in between sips that makes the method work... keeping button depressed. You only get a sip per shake!

Another great Video, oh wise guy. Not to be critical, but I liked 'em better before you got onto the Charlie Chaplin kick....I miss the dialog. Maybe we can get someone with a thick Brit accent to do voice overs?

And I still cringe when I see you treading stuff together backwards......

Thanks again for the insights on how it's done.

My wife cringes when she sees me wear my wedding band on my right (or wrong) hand!

I can't help my silence.... it has become most comfortable to me to retain that slice of anonymity, although only vocal.
In your honor, OF... and for you alone.... (although others may get a grin).. I present your voiceover.
I could not get the Thick Accent Brit guy in here...
    (I tried)
Fact is I only could grab a local Sea Farer.
Go back and check the video again.. I hope you enjoy the "Pirate-over"!

Love it. Are you using the original V2 top, or a 2.5 or HVD top? I am interested in the Hercules but I only have the original top.

    Thanks

You, sir, are a deeply disturbed individual. No doubt about it. I bet you get fan mail from other sick puppies don't you?

It's been a long time since I cracked up that much, I'm not sure it's really all that good for me, but I love it!

It's a good show they don't know who you are or where they can get you......

Ever hear of 'talk like a Pirate day"? I once worked at a place with a bunch of crazy people we'd do Thursday group lunches on CBD (Cheap Beer Day) at a local joint (15 or so at a time); 'talk like a Pirate' was a running joke. We finally got asked to cut it out, it was scaring the straights. Great memories.

    Arrrrg indeed.

Keep it up, I'm lovin' it.

    Thanks.

I had an omicron v2, and after only a few days it broke, so I sent it back and they upgraded me to the HVD! Thanks for that!

Well anyways, I want to take advantage of it so I want to buy the 7.4v hercules, and the 14250 batteries for it, but I can't find anywhere to get just the bottom cap and spacers required to make the small batteries fit. The only place I see it is when you actually purchase the HVD upgrade, but since I received the HVD for free I didn't get any batteries or special case/bottom cap for it.

Is there a way to purchase just that specific piece from the company? Whatever I need in order to use the small 14250 batteries with my v2 omicron battery tube.

If you have the 3.7 Hercules and don't have the 14500 batteries, I highly recommend you buy some because it'll make the Hercules perform SO much better as well as start up more quickly. I barely got clouds when I used the original 3.7 batteries maybe because they were used so much in the past but when I switched it to the AW IMR 14500 battery, the clouds were coming NON-STOP. I went through over a gram in a hour which was about 4 sessions, by the time I got to the 4th session I had to switch to the 2nd battery but that was only because I practically held the button down the entire time with 1 second cool downs every so often. Each load was at least .25g and I was amazed that even after so many hits, when I checked to see if it was golden brown, there was still plenty of greens.
Great product and I can't wait for the v2 of Hercules :D

Thus far that's the only way, I assume for reasons I'm sure you understand.

However, very soon D9 is releasing a shorter tube for V2 to allow the use of the better performing AW14500 (note the post between yours and this one). That tube will do the job for you and make a shorter V2 as well in the process. I'd wait a bit.
