Pack it in your bag and put the concentrate somewhere else in the bag. SFO could care less if you bring meds. You can even show TSA and they won't give two shits as long as you have your rec. stickyguide has a thread all about it where a TSA agent tells all.

I thought it made a big difference if you were flying from a medical state==>not medical?

That's why I recommended the mailing ahead option. I live in NY and I say, why risk it?

yeah but if NY is against, wouldn't they be able to detect it in the mail or no?

This is a very good point. TSA is Federal, under their rules bud and THC is listed right after heroin. Before codeine, which you might have an actual prescription for. In SF you get an agent who lives in a MM state, other places not, but in the end it's going to come down to some lower wage union backed agent that often sees nothing wrong with groping hysterical five year olds or searching granny's wheel chair for bombs. I would not relish arguing with one. Their trump card could be nasty....

Even in SF the rules are on their side, should they decide (or get pushed) to go that way. And their union will no doubt back them in that.

Even if you did a sloppy job and they did smell it, they'd need a court order to mess with US mail. IMO a safer risk than carrying it past some random TSA agent.

yeah def is the safer risk but there is still some risk... im torn here. part of me wants to leave it here and go there and try to buy some street weed. the other part thinks that will be difficult to do with family around me 24/7. But then do i risk losing my entire unit, the concentrate, and carts? yikes

IMO if you get busted, the few hundred dollar's worth of your gear they pot into the evidence locker will be the least of your worries.....

Explaining to the family and finding a pro pot lawyer in a hurry will probably make that seem small? The downside could get real ugly, even life changing. Think about the 'have you ever been arrested?' question on all the job applications you haven't filled in yet, for instance? Would your plan be to lie (and live in fear of discovery later, adding a firing 'for cause' to the list)? IMO a topic worth avoiding, good jobs are hard enough to find already.

As Heinz Guderian is quoted as saying, 'we must balance what we might gain against what we might loose'.

    Your call.

Ill give you my secret that I used to go international. Have some solid wax, shape it like tootsie rolls and wrap them. put it into a bag with 100 other real tootsie rolls. Put that in you checked luggage. Put your omicron in your carry on with no oil. They will think its an ecig. If you wanna be safe get a bottle of e juice to go with it.

I got the red light in Mexico. They searched my bags, opened my omicron case, closed it and said thank you, enjoy your stay. No big deal.

Have you tried the 7.4 version for herb??

I can assure you SFO will not blink at the sight of any pipe or small bag of herb. People travel with dab rigs and torches as carry on, don't trip.

Torches, allowed in SF? No where else in the country can a touch or a touch lighter empty or filled be checked in luggage or carry on.

As far as bringing loaded carts I would advice to bring fresh loaded carts never hit in checked baggage and the omicron else where in the bag or carry on and leave the carts behind on the return trip. No way around breaking federal law by doing this (and state laws depending on where you land), same as mailing or buying it on the streets, only you can decide whether to take the mission on or not.

Here is a very useful link with information on flying out of LAX, SFO, and Oakland international with your meds.

    http://forum.grasscity.com/medical-...g-medical-marijuana-airports-2012-update.html

I cant find it now but when I lived in Oakland i remember a story in the local newspaper about them allowing you to fly out with your meds. However the risk is all yours if arriving in a state with no Medical program. Basically the article I read a few years back in Oakland newspaper said they will verify your rec is legit. If legit you can board the plane with a warning that once you step off the plane in a non medical state the risk is all yours. I personally have never had a bag checked when arriving at my destination.. only when leaving. Hope you find some useful info in this link.

My opinion is if you have the time ship your carts and oil to family or friends and just bring the omicron with you on the plane either in luggage or your carry on.

Also... Even if arriving in another state that has a medical program you would have to already be a resident and have your legal rec from that state when you land for it to truly be legal when you arrive. your Cali card is not valid anywhere else. Unless you go to Colorado or Washington since they are legal now in those states for recreational use.

Good point. Attitude would play a key role here I'd think? Get a little pushy and the 'offended' TSA guy can put a call in that will beat you to the destination gate. All that's needed is the tip and a 'badge heavy' guy there out to make a few points to pull you out of line.

I agree, an entire situation best avoided if possible.

    Battery questions.

I am finding my AW IMR 14500 don't like to hold a full charge, if I put a full charged one aside and put it on the ultraFire WF-188 24hrs later they will take a charge for 10 minutes or more. Non of the other batteries I have (14650s, 14250s, or the 14500 AW ICs) loose a charge sitting for 24hrs. Is this normal for IMRs?

Edit: I just had a thought about the IMRs, it's not like 24hr after a charge they are dead, they work fine, but maybe it is that little extra they have the is lost overnight? My solution has been to charge the IMRs last and leave them in the charger with the trickle charge until I need them or another batt needs charging.

Next question is about the 14250s. I bought 8 of the 14250s total since the release of the original HVD top and I am down to 4 working ones. I know their small and don't have much capacity but at this rate I will burn through 8-12 14250s a year. I guess if you really like 7.4v then the Persai is the way to go. Anybody else burning through 14250s?

    I received a replacement Omicron V2 today.
I repeatedly posted that I still prefer my Original Omicron V1 to my V2.
I sited as my reason the fact that with the V2 the battery died a gradual death, making me wonder whether battery was low or cart was running low.
My new Omicron V2 looks identical to the first, but it has been improved greatly, and now it functions with as much reliability as do my original Omicrons.
I still do use my V1 Omicrons, but the VS is better when that extra few seconds of "boost" is needed on a sluggish cart.
Also the V2 Omicron is needed for successful operation of the Hercules 3.7V cart.. so needless to say, I am breaking my new V2 in steadily!
    Vape on!~
