next generation e-nails?

Wow, I'm sure its a nice product but $449 for the controller and $250 for a Ti nail and coil!??

Am I reading this right?

Its just priced out of the market for me.

I agree. If I ever have the need for a portable unit I will just get one of those power banks.

I'm sorry but I feel Errlectric's prices are audacious. My understanding is that there isn't TOO much that goes in to these PID units and coils. Then they force you to use their coil/nail combo and pay $250 to $400 on top of the already ridiculous price.

I Kinda want this! But their proprietary coils turn me off too much :(. I already have 6 coils in every size, 16mm, 20mm and flat. I can't see switching everything out just for a portable unit. But I love the idea. In fact I have been playing with making my enail portable for a while. I like to use it camping just for shits and giggles even though the Liger works great as a torch banger too.

I have this setup in my car right now to go camping but it's a bit bigger than the Errlectric! I use the Chargetech battery along side an enail in a Pelican case so mine is small but not that small. Both of the batteries below will run any enail on thew market.

This is my battery

This one looks like it will fit the bill well too for those wanting to make one of their existing enails portable.

This is my setup from last year like this

And before I had the Chargetech battery this was my full sized camping setup lol

Any computer UPS will run one for quite a while but they are HEAVY!!

I completely agree.
After dabbing on SiC and Sapphire (especially Sapphire) there is no going back.
The price of the portable is steep; add in one of their nails and it is too rich for my blood.
I could perhaps talk myself into buying the controller by itself, if it would support other 12V heaters.
Using proprietary coils limits their market.
The only thing that I would want to add to my travel set-up is to make it smaller.

But, it is dialed (and pretty damn small too! (~10"x10"x1.5"):

Just to be clear, I know they dont use a PID and have different technology than others but still.... the price is nuts. Ive had enough electronics designed and made to know what stuff costs.....

And as you know, PID is just one process control algorithm and there are others including, apparently, some developed by controller manf. But still, its a temp feedback voltage controller. It ain't theoretical physics and how tightly do you have to control an enail. I find my Auber and my fixed up G9 are stable as a rock and any more capable control algorithm would be a waste as the application would not significantly benefit from it IMO.

Having tried errlectrics in a couple of vapor lounges recently I did not really find them to be that impressive compared to a standard pid enail.

Parts list if anyone is interested:

Battery pack: http://junopower.com/collections/automobile/products/junojumper-pro?variant=11778185607

Enail controller: http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45&products_id=491

$165 for the 12V controller with a flat coil.
$200 for the battery pack.
Add your favorite nail powered by a flat coil (the only option with this unit, which uses a mini-XLR 4 pin output), some nice glass and you're in well under 1k.
+ this battery pack will recharge your laptop, tablet, phone, whatever, and ... jump your car!

Or, if you already like your current controller and don't want to drop more coin, you can buy the battery pack with a 110V AC converter (that smoothly integrates with the battery) for an extra $30.

The complete travel set-up pictured above ran a total of ~$800.
Well worth it to me when I can dab w/o a torch wherever the hell I want to.

@YabaDabaGoo It is all in the preference and not so much one over another.

Liger V2: Uses much less product to do the same thing as the Dnail. But is hard to match the pure output the Dnail halo does on a good piece of glass. The main thing to take away from the Liger is the efficiency of the nail with much less product. I found that I used a 3rd of what I was putting into the Halo and was getting good and baked still. Once I found I did not need to dump as much into the bowl, I saw a huge savings in the amount of product I was using and still was plenty medicated =)

Dnail Halo: The halo is like a wood chipper in that you can feed it long dabs and it will mow through them. But that also means you are using a lot more product. You will also see more reclaim when using the Dnail over the Liger. I believe it is due to having a lar
ger surface that is being heated and so it can consume more. But it also wastes more with the overall amounts of reclaim.

I have a quartz halo and also a V2 liger with SiC and Quartz inserts and I always end up using the Liger over my Halo. I still use the halo, just no where near as much as I did prior to getting the Liger and pairing it with the SiC insert. That is now my main go to. I know the V3 liger will be out sometime this month and it will have a flat coil version and so far it has shown great results per the beta testers in our FC community.

If you can afford it you might think about just stepping up and getting both so you will truly know the pros and cons to each =)

Im thinking of getting a Liger V2 instead of waiting for the V3 to come out

When you say the Liger V2 helps you conserve product are you using it with a torch or an enail and are you using an insert?

right now im using a Hoyes USA made banger with torch and feel like im not getting high enough off my material

any suggestions tired of blowing thru wax want to place my liger order asap as monday

@vapewithape the liger is for an enail and is a non torch nail. I have the SiC insert and run mine at around 630 to 645 and can dab a grain of rice size dab in it and get a full hit and don't need to feed it anymore than that. There is very little reclaim and this to me shows how efficient it is compared to other nails that will end up with a decent amount of reclaim after a weeks worth of use. I love the v2 and also have the v3 pre ordered as it is just an improvement on an already great product. I have the 20mm version of the v2 and have no complaints =)
The price point is one time as there is nothing you will need to replace as it is made to last.

Hope this helps

I just dont have enough money to buy a decent enail box plus coil set up

I wanted the Boss Micro for $130 but probably going to wait until Black Friday

Liger has a sale on all their V2 products so was thinking about grabbing a 16/20

Do you know what would be best in terms of size? i dab small amounts to conserve

@vapewithape I prefer a 20mm setup for the extra room. But many prefer the 16mm for the smaller setup and less weight. Check out Aubers RDK 300 model as it has a cheaper price point, but still has solid US customer service. The initial purchase sucks balls. But is well worth it once done and only hurts for a minute =p

Or even the RDK-200...just a couple of bells and whistles difference but a little cheaper than the 300 and has just as good temp performance. I bought a 300 and love it, but don't really use the added features and would probably have been very happy with the 200.

Good product IMO for a good price from a good USA company.

Get the 20mm version for sure. It has the option for the sapphire down the road and it's perfect for smaller dabs too.

What is the main diff bw the RDK 200 and 300?

the RDK 200 is $120 vs the RDK 300 at $175

What exactly is that extra $55 getting me?

Are the box AND coil warrantied for a year?

Might want to read the product descriptions here, my friend.

NOOOOO, I had to send in my Auber RDK-150 for service!
On/Off rocker switch is not operating properly.

Now my travel set-up looks like this:

d5RW0oi.jpg

:(

Battery is a bit superfluous at the moment, but the case keeps everything together nicely.
Auber's tech response was fast and polite.
I think that they're are going to fix it for free even though I'm a bit past the one year warranty period.
I haven't used a torch for (strange coincidence) a bit more than a year.
So for travel dabs for the next week or so, it's torch time or I just got an Source Orb4 with the fancy-schmancy atomizers ... fingers crossed.

Nice setup! Please report about your experiences with the Source Orb 4! ATM it seems to me the most interesting wax pen. And I love its design aside the fact that I'm really are a ss (stainless steel not Schutzstaffel!)-porn addict.

nosmoking

Just so Dab HAppy!
Perhaps bring it into the SourceOrb thread but I am also extremely interested in a review on the new terra 2 atomizer in the Source Orb 4 kit?
