Have you tried turning the handle parts round? On mine, one end has a wider opening than the other. That might help if you havent tried it.

Thats how i want it, like the last pic but the top screw will barely go in a quarter turn and im scared when it heats up it could expand and pop the screw right out. Ill just keep it how it is for now
Lol yes i have tried that. I have also tried turning it on and off again

If that’s the coil that came with the NewVape controller, it should fit and screw down tight. I let someone borrow my NV controller so I can’t compare it to yours right now, but the handle fits it fine.

If you’re pretty sure yours can’t fit, talk to NewVape and see what they say. Maybe your handle isn’t cut out as wide as it should be. Most likely though, you just need to tighten the handle together. :)

Coil seems to have some extra heat shrink tubing on it. NV site doesn't show any on their coils - maybe you can just remove a bit of it around the tight spot to get the handle to close a bit better?

Yeah, it should fit. Unless tightening it down feels like you’re actually breaking/ripping the coil cord cover, I’d just tighten it.

If you’re still worried, VapeFiend should be able to tell you for sure if the coil’s different from the one NewVape sells in the US and if anyone else has come to them with problems installing the handle.

It should be pretty tight so it stays in place, so as long as it’s not clearly ripping the cord cover it’ll probably be fine.

Hi Ronnie - yeah, the connector from the cable to the coil should def be inside the handle.

I have two of them and needed to take a dremel tool to the inside channel in both to relieve it a bit so it would close flush.

Coils have different connectors and hence different needed interior dimension.

I discussed this with Edwyn once and he suggested that as long as I could get the screws to catch and tighten, that the hemp wrap will cover up any opening.

I'm a bit too anal for that and like I said...little bit of dremel tool work and all is fine.

If you do relieve metal, it just needs to be the length of the thick part of the connector at the coil end.

    Once done, it works wonderfully.

Thankfully my handles were connected already when i ordered both it and the coil. I don't like doing any hemp, paracord, coil, gift or any type of wrapping. I suck at it.

I'm actually thinking of ordering and running my next coil without any handle. As bare bones as possible to cut weight. Maybe add a little something there, just enough for a couple fingers to clasp it

I don’t know where you get the conception that Auber controller is better than the cheaper NV controllers.
We’re talking about a simple switch here.
    Nothing fancy.
Probably the components are all the same, most likely they are from the same factory at China.
Auber, only “assembles” their units at the US.
    That’s what they claim.
Only difference in controllers, knob on top to set temperatures, and an auto shut-off, that most people don’t even know how to set, the rest is the same.
    And different connections.
The rest is all the same.
Big difference, you’ll pay like $60 plus for that Auber controller.
That’s the cost of a WeedEater head by the way.
Or almost an extra NV controller.
    Your money. Your preference.
But if everyone keeps pushing that Auber is better, when in reality it isn’t, I’m hoping that NewVape doesn’t stop selling their own controller, cheaper and same functionality.
    Stay vaped.

By the way, New Vape controller is flat on the top, you can stack stuff on the top too.
    Aesthetically looks better too.
Auber materials looks and feels cheaper to me.
When I compare the single versions, cheaper NV controllers, looks overall nicer.
People claim that the knob is easier to change temps, definitely it’s easier, but how many times per day, people using FP products, change their temperatures.
    Did you ever asked that???
I own all the FPs heads, technically, I haven’t changed temperatures, in none of them, for weeks.
Your draw speed, capping or not, and your own grind and flower, will affect most notably the FPs performances.
    Up to you.
    Stay vaped.

Same as cars, my man. Why would one want a nicer, more expensive car? Features and convenience. But they both get you from a to b.

People just have their own preferences, and that's ok.

But we wont stop selling ours lol

    Cheers!

    Yes yes yes to all.
    I’d love Ferraris and Lambos.
    But real ones.
    Not Priuses disguised as Ferraris.
Because Auber controller is not a Ferrari, it’s just a different Prius trim model, not an upgrade.
An upgrade of a Prius, will be a Tesla, right???

A real upgrade from an Auber and a NV controller, will be a Jcat controller, or a MaxVapor controller.
Those will be Ferraris or Lambos.
If not, they’re the same, one with three extra bells and whistles that cost more, nothing else.

Unless I’m missing something from Auber controllers, a holy grail???
By the way, the sidings of single version Auber controller, looks like is made of some cheap dissipating fins, like the controller needs heat dissipation.

And this is why I just dont care about bluetooth, RGB lighting, etc etc. Hell, even fancy glass largely falls into that category for me. Function.

Maybe just add some 'go faster stripes' to the controller :) Or a rear spoiler? :)

EDIT: I cant really see where anyone was promoting Auber over NV tho? But anyway, the conclusions are correct :) Either/or.

    EDIT2:
Plenty of people temp stepping, or doing light day time hits and then higher temp night time hits. Twaxing takes different temps. There's quite a few reasons really. I used to change temps all day depending on how fucked up my lungs were feeling. Disabled users would find that knob much easier too.

I use a vapecode/NV controller btw, and have no issues with it at all, and have no intentions of changing to a different controller :) Just sayin' there are reasons why people might wanna choose a different controller :)

I’m not going to keep :worms: or :bang:
I have direct family in a wheelchair, no use of hands, nor legs, nothing, not even words, a totally disabled person. Feeding through a PEG button via belly.
    Are you that disabled???
I mean a real disability, mentally and physically, the ones you’re born with it.
Not the extra obesity, nor PTSD, or war related.
I’m not saying nor comparing disabilities here.
But I can see many people citing disabilities, but clearly they aren’t that disabled, because they can clearly turn knobs, grind flowers in grinders, and even type keyboards, even think for themselves.
I only see “very able people here, imho”.
So I’m going to leave it at that, but we can clearly keep going. I’m up for discussing the topic.
    Stay vaped.

Personally, I don't see the big deal. I mean, whether i am 95% disabled, or I'm just tired from a work day, if I prefer to use a knob instead of push buttons (or vice versa for the figgity types) and I choose to pay whatever money for it...so be it.

    Am I off here?

What on earth...? All this is needlessly aggressive and incredibly judgemental.

Yes, I am fully legally classed as disabled, not that its any of your business. I'm sorry to you that means I shouldnt be able to use a keyboard or think for myself, or heaven forbid, use empathy to think some people may prefer a giant knob to a button?

There is no need for this level of anger. Have a good day.

I think you're spot on. I didnt understand anger behind that post.

    But life is too short.

Noting to see here! Move along! :D

I have a couple of the NV single controllers and an auber 300. They both do the job well (I’m not in any way disabled so that hasn’t factored in for me). There are pros and cons to both and for me (YMMV):
    NV controller
    Pros:

    • Cheaper
    • Can stack stuff on top
    • Biggest pro for me is heat up speed. The controller overshoots quite a bit (even after an auto tune) and this is perfect for FPs. By the time the controller gets back down to the set temp after overshooting, it’s heat soaked and ready to go.
    Cons:
    • The buttons really are a pain. Single degree increments and if you hold it you’ve got a few seconds before it goes in to super speed ramp up and you often end up 50-100 degrees above what you were aiming for.
    Auber
    Pros:

    • Temp dial for exactly the cons of the nv controller
    • More steady temp during hits. I haven’t tested this with any real numbers but the more gradual changes in temp make it appear to have less jumpy temps (not that this makes any difference when vaping but this is important to some)
    • It looks better/subjectively I like the design and the temp reading and the NV dial
    Cons:
    • More expensive
    • Coils more expensive
    • Slower heat up time/not actually slower but you’ll have to wait after it says it’s got to temp for it actually to have heat soaked properly
    • Can’t put stuff on it
    • Auto-shutoff - for most people probably a pro but I started with the nv controllers and just got used to turning it off myself. Now using the auber I upped the time to 2.5 hours (which is clearly not enough) as I find myself immediately pressing the power button when I hear the click of the heater turning off. I could just turn this off but then I’ve got the more expensive controller solely for the dial

I should add that I originally got the auber so I could somewhat up-temp a dab but have actually found the NV controller better for this as it heats back up quicker (press power button wait until ~450 then press power button and dab) vs using the dial but a much more gradual heating curve.

This is all just IMO/IME etc and others will probably have a very diff pro/con list

All those effects I can get them by changing my draw speed, loads, grind, capped or not capped.
Many users can get the same effects, without changing temperatures too.
    Am I wrong???
