@Pyr0 would love to know how hot does your OG 14mm bowl get after say 3 decent pulls.
Is the bowl to hot to handle and would you need to wait to let it cool before reloading if yours didn't have the handle?

Congratulations on the new arrival btw :)
thanks @Muzz :)
I always do 1 hitters and then chuck the avb, so I've never tried multiple pulls, but I can say that the bowl is a bit too hot to handle comfortably with bare fingers immediately after

Sorry for double posting, but I have a quick question for vrod owners..
Should the 2 halves meet or is a gap normal?
I've screwed the 2 sections together, noticed a gap. Tried to unscrew them and they're stuck now.
I'm unable to use much force as I have blisters on my hands from trying to take the showerhead apart a couple of nights ago lol
I think I need to buy some big mole grips or something lol

The stubby 14mm gets hot quickly for me. After even 1 draw it’s hot and temporarily stuck in the glass I either wait for it to cool or grab it by the 14-18mm adapter if I’m using it.

The PanHead and ShovelHead did solve a real problem, but if you don’t want to pay the extra money for them right now the older bowls and/or glass bowls will work too.

You also asked if the double weave screens fit...I haven’t tried it, but my guess is that the 0.78” double weave screens NewVape sells will *not* fit well since their normal 0.75” screens fit without obvious extra room.

If I get a chance to try it I’ll post a more definitive answer, but for now I’d agree that Errlectric is a safer bet for double weave Ti screens for the older bowls.

Right now I use a regular Ti screen in the stubby 14mm and double weaves in the newer bowls, and while I prefer the double weaves, the single in my stubby bowl has done a pretty good job too. It’s just more flimsy and lets some small bits of flower through into the glass which necessitates a little more cleaning.

@Muzz I'd recommend another Oregon company, Sky Glass. They do custom pieces too and their scientific line is already similar to what you're looking for (albeit with logos etc.)

if it is an adapter that sticks out of the joint it should be enough distance/mass to not stick as bad in the joint, but if it's one that sticks in and sits flush with the stem you might have some trouble with ti expanding pushing glass into glass and making it stick.

The way around it would have been getting a female bowl so expanding doesnt matter.

Personally I use a drop down with a carb plug though, keeps my piece a LOT cleaner, and I have a K clip holding the bowl to the drop down, so when dumping AVB I just pull the whole drop down out and never have to worry about it sticking. The carb makes it so I don't have to move the coil/head as much and can still clear it.

I think a good experiment for newvape to improve the evenness of the center on the newer vrods, would be to try a smaller hole only in the center, or experiment with center hole placement. To reduce but not eliminate the airflow to the center of the bowl.

Also with all holes open, it may work well with some type of blocker in the center of the large airflow entry from the dish. To slow down the fastest moving column of air in the center. The center flows the fastest in a round hole because of the center having less resistance then the airflow near the walls. Theres a scientific name for the effect but i cant remember it.

At this moment in time I do NOT see the VROD as an upgrade over the showerhead.

I'll keep experimenting, but I think I would have been better off getting separate nail for concentrates and sticking with the showerhead for flower.

If I can't get used to it, it'll be going up for sale - if I can get the coil back out again lol

[edit] And as of 2pm, still no carb cap delivery yet @VapeFiend.com :(

Call NewVape. There is an issue with first revision VROD's where they can get stuck (and you won't be able to unstick it ... and even if you do, if it occurred once it will happen again I imagine!) Contact NewVape and they'll take care of you (they did me!)

I think we may be talking about different sticking.
My VROD halves are stuck together and I am unable to get the coil back out with my bare hands
To clarify...
1. New Titanium VROD Rev. 3/C does NOT stick to the Titanium cooling post.
2. Was able to disassemble the VROD Flowerpot assembly to reveal the coil with no sticking as well.

Well that sux! I am waiting for new vape to get back to me about my vrod head being fused together and now we are hearing about rev c heads being stuck together. I hope it isn’t a continuous problem.

I miss my vrod and think it out performs both the showerhead and wraparound I just hope the fusing isn’t something that is going to happen again.

Where'd you find yours? Having some trouble finding them.

I'm just using a quality knockoff I got of @dabdabadoo1 on IG. You could probably find a cheaper deal on DHgate though. I was grabbing other stuff off him and just asked him to add one.

I can only imagine what the real deal is like. I'm very happy with the cheap one for now...

Be sure to add a bead or two :D
