Hey guys!

It's been almost three years now that I joined this amazing community where I found people from all over the world, learned so much, had so many laughs… I found out that it was not only the weed we had in common but so many other stuff! It's been a hell of a ride and coincidentally the best three years of my life. Was it the vapors, was it the complete change in my lifestyle, my abundant free time, I don't know for sure, but it's been great.

Several things changed for me in those three years.

I quit my job. Moved from the city to my small village.

I had abundant time.

I started vaporizing instead of smoking. I quit smoking.

Quit drinking alcohol, sodas, coffee, anything but water.

Became a fruitarian. Started working out again. Calisthenics, bicycling, walking, more sex…

Started feeling 20 again (I am 35), maybe even better, I don't remember feeling so good back then.…

Very little money to spent. Well-fare (400 euros per month) lasted only for one year. After that it was less than a hundred per month, and that's for food only. Not bad. I learned to live like that and it was fine. Lucky for me my parents spared some cash for heating and electricity...

Went to the Caribbean for voluntary work with the prospect of possibly living there. Things didn't work out so well...

Came back and decided to become self sufficient and live off-the-grid.

Learned about Natural Farming so I can grow my own food with minimum expenses and tools.

Learned about natural building with earth, straw and water. About earth bags. Went to seminars and met a lot of like minded people. I can built my own house now and it would be as green as it gets...

Started experimenting with natural farming in my small garden. Had great results.

I started growing my own weed fully natural and only fed with water and sun. Best medicine I ever tried!!!

Decided to use an acre of land my mother had and build a small earth house there surrounded by a food forest…
No budget whatsoever meant I couldn't make a fence around it… First try didn't work out so well. Some mistakes from my part, some bad luck, some great neighbors deciding to spray herbicides in my property and stumble on the seeds with their tractors made it clear it wasn't gonna be easy.

To get rid of them and their everyday sprayings meant I had to grow tall, forest trees around the edges of the farm in a double row so they acts as a barrier between us. Not much space would be left for fruit trees and vegetables after that though….

I had to look for bigger land. 3-5 acres would be amazing and a big variety of plants could be grown. No budget though meant it was impossible to buy land.

I came up with the idea to ask for land that wasn't cultivated, was burned or just not used, from people I know, offering to transform it in a garden of Eden by myself and sharing the fruit and vegetable production between us.

I would build a tiny earth house for me to live with my woman, I would take care of the land and animals and the owner would just come every now and then and gather the produce.

I shared the idea with some friends and indeed most found it a great one!!! We were in the talks with a couple of them but then disaster struck!

I was busted, my babies were taken away and since I now have a past with the law, growing again someday (and I would) will not be the wisest move. It could have much bigger repercussions being caught twice.

Since the herb, and any herb that does me good, is very important to me I decided to try the same thing abroad, somewhere where cannabis is decriminalized for personal use.

Hotter climates are better if you need a food forest with a large variety of plants and growing them costs much less. You can also spread the production all year long and thus being even more self sufficient…

I am leaning towards Spain since it's hot enough at the South and cannabis cultivation for personal use is decriminalized. Cannabis Social Clubs are also legal and there seems to be quite a lot of them. It sounds like proper conditions for me.

Need to find land though and I thought my favorite community could prove to be a good place to start looking.

So, I am looking for someone with land in Spain or maybe somewhere else where it's hot-tish and cannabis cultivation is decriminalized. I would like to get to know each other better and explain my big dream. I believe we both have a lot to gain from such an endeavor… There are many details to talk about but the idea is simple and I know it can work out. I have seen it been done and know how to do it!

It could also be a food forest with more attention being put on weed production if the person needs something like that! A cannabis club or dispensary or something similar. Everything is open for discussion. The emphasis will be on making the land more fertile year by year. The production will grow exponentially every year. Bare landscapes can become greener than ever in a few years, a place where humans and animals will leave in harmony and from there on it can be self sustainable. Very little human labour will be needed and it can only get better with time.

Fellow vaporists, I hope something comes up… Spread the word if you can, there is no risk involved and I am a really great guy! :D

Let's talk...

Keep vaping!!!

I would love to be able to just up and move to someplace like Spain. Living the dream, you lucky devil. Perhaps the bust, was what you needed to seek greener pastures? An example of how a bad experience can spur good!

Best of luck.

Not lucky yet mate! It's just a blair dream until some piece of land comes in the picture... I wanted to do it here in Greece but the law will be a problem from now on for me...

I am also open to a team effort, a sort of a tribe in a big forest, living self sufficiently and off-the-grid but open to sustainable technology! The sky is the limit. The pros are so many... :)

Thanks for the wishes! I'd love you to come visit the jungle if it finally grows!

My story is a lot like ours. Sold our acerage, quit our long term jobs of 15yrs, and moved to a better area in that we love (cannabis laws are still hard here tho) A lot of work later and we are very content.

I have to respect someone following their dream, especially one I can identify with!

If and when you get situated I have experience and can discuss organic farming, basic construction, and sustainable land usage.

The cannabis cultivation will have to be PM's or another site methinx.

Your story is inspiring. Keep on, keeping on, with perseverance you will succeed I am sure.

EDIT- funny enough I get a lot of my self supporting idea from mountaineering/camping, survival manuals, and that crazy Doomsday Preppers show. FULL of great technologies.

So I was rweding the Canada Legalization thread and it led me to here.

I really want to know how this went for you OP. I had this dream as well but decided to go anotger route.

If you have not moved, I noticed no one really made any recomendations, then I suggest you consider Twentynine Palms, CA in the United States.

You can get your medical cars and buy cheap land.

When I looked a year ago on craigslist I came across five acres for around five thousand dollars. Undeveloped land of course.

The climate really suits your needs since it is very hot in the desert. Your closest areas would be Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. About half an hour's drive.

You should do some research and see if you like it.

But how are you OP?

Hey guys! I appreciate your interest very much! Still waiting for the trial and can't leave the country.... Fortunately I found an eco-community in its infancy (an amazing lady's farm who wants to turn it into an eco-community...) and guess what! I am the first member! I am living in a small yurt right now and the first summer garden is already producing tasty crops! No thoughts about growing our favourite herb yet but who knows what happens in the future. It's one of the best periods of my life though and a very productive and creative one. Permaculture, natural farming, making useful constructions from recycled stuff etc... I could only be happier if I could grow some of the herb but it's also nice the way it is. A lot of work ahead, meeting great new people... It's a new circle of life and I feel good! I hope you all have similarly great times guys. Thanks for your interest again! :)
