Here is a link to Norml's entry for a contest for a commercial spot for the superbowl. If Norml gets enough votes, they get to put a COMMERCIAL up for the superbowl!
^^Thanx for the heads up Enchantre .
Don't forget you can vote every day, too. Let's make this happen!!
NORML is now the #1 entry in the contest!!
Keep the votes coming!
How can you tell who's winning?
I just saw the update in NORML's article here.
this years superbowl is actually some sort of mj bowl, isn't it? being seattle and denver represantatives of the two recreational mj states.
Haha I just tried to go vote then remembered Super Bowl was this Sunday.. Does anyone know did NoRML win?? It didn't look like it by the top 20 but I was a little confused.. Especially since this thread was 4months dead and just got bumped this AM.. I didn't check the original post date and thought this was a new thread.
ESPECIALLY because the first text I got this AM was from a buddy talking about how the NFL is considering restructuring their drug policy to allow medical marijuana to be accepted in the league. I haven't researched this at all so to me it's just hear-say, but an employee of mine did say he had heard the same. I personally don't think this would be fair to athletes suffering from similar medical conditions that don't play for a team in a medical state.. They wouldn't have access to the same meds that could potentially help them achieve their highest level of athleticism as their counterpart in say California.
The finalists are:
GoldieBlox, a toy company designed to inspire girls to become engineers;
Locally Laid, a pasture-raised egg company;
Dairy Poop, which makes odorless fertilizer from cow manure; and
Barley Laps, which produces dog treats from beer byproducts.
The winning company will be announced on January 31. All four of the businesses will receive professionally produced television commercials, but only the winner’s will air on Super Bowl Sunday.
That's strange.. I saw an add for that goldieblox already online I think.. They were in legal battles with Beastie Boys for using their song "Girls" without permission showing the girls engineering a technical device that looked like an extremely long game of "Mouse Trap"
Edit: thanks for the update @grokit
