Discontinued miVape by Vaporfection

this is so sad to see. I was excited to see this vaporizer get released, i feel like it would've really revolutionized the portable vaporizer community. Looks like I'm just going to have to wait for the ascent and hope that Karma was able to fix the issues from their first Da Vinci vaporizer.

I tried the MiVape and in my opinion, it wasn't anything that special. Nothing about it made me think "wow, this is so much better than (insert your favorite portable here)."

IMO it wouldn't have been that competitive in the current portable vape marketplace.:2c:

I also tried it. I got really sick afterwards for about 40 minutes. Felt like I had the flu/shakes or lots of espresso. I kind of flipped out. That could have been from a couple of things. #1 the strain he loaded could have been a sativa. I don't handle sativa strains well. #2 it was very light vapor and cooler temp vapor which is higher THC and low CBD. That is the kind of high that leads me to feel jittery, uncomfortable. Either way I was so busy at the event I did not have time to go by and try it again... I was also kind of worried about trying it again after my first experience. I hope Dan can land on his feet.

Sad news but thanks for the update. Shows that at least Dan has some integrity.

Or that he was part of the problem. Dont get me wrong, Dan was always helpful and friendly whenever I had an issue or problem, and i know he was still employed by vaporfection at the time, but he did tell multiple members everything was fine and they were just updating the website. Meanwhile, a members vivape sentback for repair was deemed undeliverable and Dan told the member that everything was fine and they would just send out a new vivape2 to replace it. I wonder if that memeber will ever see a working vivape again? Also he told vapinghole a couple days ago there would be an update about the mivape in the beginning of february. I dont know if his departure and the impending doom of the company/no mivape in sight was the news he was refering to and it just happened early...but anyways i think all the lying and acting like everything was rolling along is what got the company into trouble in the first place and its seems like Dan at least while employed played a part in it...

Points well made ... I should rephrase my earlier post to not say that "Dan has some integrity" but that at least the action I am referring to shows some integrity ...

While I appreciate the fact that Dan got back to me quickly when I contacted him, and that he promised me a new viVape, I do wish he could have given me the same heads up as he gave ugobo one or two days later. This is what he told me on Saturday, January 26:
Everything is fine at VSI, we've had a few (necessary) personnel changes (now disgruntled, who've decided to start rumors) and we're doing some site repair.

I believe Dan really had the best intentions and hoped for the better until he felt he could'nt handle it anymore. I would'nt throw the stone at him right now. I'm sure he'll be back to the world of vaporization soon.

Not throwing any stones, just saying there is a certain discrepancy between "Everything is fine at VSI" and "miVape updates will follow in a few days" on one hand and "I am not longer working at Vaporfection. There are some major problems with management and funding," "I encourage you to charge back your CC for your miVape order," "chances slim" and "lots of litigation starting" on the other.

I wish Dan the best and I hope VSI will prosper and deliver fantastic products in the future -- including the ones that people have already paid for.

And if we can all be happy and high, that's sugar on the top.

I would have definately cancelled by now...this product has taken far too long to hit the market, to me this long a delay would have been spelling this out to me long long ago.
I sincerely hope that you guy's aint been ripped

"Where there is smoke there is a fire"

I think we all knew that something was going wrong with Vaporfection for a while. Some of us pressed the alarm button a loonnng time ago. I really wanted to believe in the good faith of Vaporfection with all their pushed back release dates but the significant rebates from online stores in the past months was really a wake-up call for me. Something was really fishy right there...

And i don't know why but when i asked Dan to send me tubings and balloons instead of the $50 mail rebate he replied in a strange tone saying that it could'nt be done. Strange since we did just that with the first vV that i've bought. Now that i think of it,it makes me wonder if it was really Dan behind this e-mail. We exchanged e-mails in the past and his touch was'nt there. I replied to "him" saying that i was disapointed with his reply and that i will send the card instead but not hoping to receive a check from Vaporfection. Pieces of the puzzle are going together now? Just saying...

I called my bank today and got reassured. I will be refunded friday. Unless Vaporfection can prove they delivered the miVape to my door!

Hi I'm sorta new to vaping I've burned alot and I recently tried out my buddies davinci. I really liked it but I was wondering if the mivape or inhalator better suites my needs. I would like a portable vape that produces good vapor and has a relatively long lasting battery. If it could vape ice hash and bubble hash that would be good too. I don't care how much it costs I would rather get a nice one that lasts a while then a cheap on that breaks in a month. I hope you guys can help.

You should head over to the Thermovape Cera Thread. IMO it will fit your needs better.

Fabulous vapinghole. I thought it could be done. Can you share which route worked? We all gave you lots of suggestions so the one that worked would be interesting.

Simply getting the right person at my bank involved. Very simple, actually. Just like y'all said. Not sure why I was getting into trouble with my previous attempt.

Thanks!!!
