I never tried the VXL cloud, would love to.

I don't think you can be disappointed, I get easy big rips from the MV.

Your cloud is finally going to take at least some breaks

What is that large white cylinder Roger? Is that something you rigged up or a prototype piece? I know the cone and basket are part of the system.

Sorry for the confusion vape4life. At first we were using the MV at 210, and although I don't find the vapour noticeably hot at this temp, Orson did. Using the silicone mouthpiece or the plastic one wouldn't make any difference on that. However when we dialled the temp down a setting, Orson agreed that it was much cooler, comparable to the Solo at setting 4, if not lower. You still get great clouds at the lower setting, but I prefer 210 as the high is more intense. I don't think you'll be hacking and coughing with the MV, mainly because the vapour is much smoother as it's a convection vape.

It's also outrageously easy to clean- very similar to the Cloud in that there is a little mesh bowl which is removable and this and the mouthpiece are the only bits that need cleaning.

It is a cut from the 14mm silicone adapter, its from the constructor, they give it to users on request

I have both mini and the Cloud. The only problem with the Cloud is that it is not portable. And it should not be used with an inverter. When I was thinking about buying the mini I decided to take a chance. I was able to get it at a discount to review it here over a year ago. And the distributors agreed to give all FC members the same discount. I figured that at the discounted price of about what two portables were going for at the time it may very well be the last portable I would ever need. At that time I was very active at trying to find a portable I could be satisfied with. How many portable vapes have you bought since you heard about the mini and are still not satisfied? Had I not bought the mini I could have easily gone through several other portables. Since I bought the mini I have felt no desire to test/try any other portables. Since I discovered it was the mouth piece causing the difficulty I was having with my unit, I am a born again miniVap owner/user. I do feel the the mini IS in the same league as the Cloud. They are the only two vapes I need or use. And I do not feel as though the vapor is too hot, or even hot at all for that matter, without the mouth piece. The silicon tube that was supplied with mine does a adequate job of cooling the vapor. And I am aware of no one who has bought a mini that is not completely happy with it. The only issue I have are small and are really of no consequence to me. It is not as stealthy as other portables. If that is an issue, maybe you are doing something you ought not to be doing.

Wow, look at all the activity here lately.

Well I'm stoked to get it that's for sure! It's not that I'm doing things that I ought not to be (I'm completely legal in my use), however, although I have no issues with my consumption, we still live in a society where cannabis is largely poorly understood and it makes other people (and myself consequently) uncomfortable at times. (ie. when travelling at times there is not always a good place to vape ... I won't do it in a hotel room with my kids, so I have to go outside, and that's not always great depending on the location). As well, at times it's nice to have something smaller I can throw in a pocket, just in case I'm out and about longer than anticipated.

Quick question about cleaning ... is it airport/international travel cleanable? (that's one of the main drivers for me ordering a Cera ... apart from hoping it will satisfy the stealth niche)

Yeah, definitely not pocketable but Roger has been able to take it on outings. I imagine if you had a small bag and some tubing you would do ok. And being convection, you know your load is not cooking as you stroll about.

 ... I wasn't talking about the minivap being pocketable! I was speaking about the need for more than just the minivap in regards to lc's reference to "if I need something more stealthy than maybe I'm doing something I shouldn't be doing"

In a stall in the men's room, sure. But I would not try to get it past security. The battery is 3 1/2"h x 2"d, the heater is 5"h x 2"d, put together it is ~ 8"h. I do not know how the airports are where your at but that is the last place I would go to use anything like this. I have packed it in a suit case and it went through with no issues twice. Keep in mind that once you use it you will never get it clean like glass. If someone catches you with it and you have no get out of jail free card you will most likely get pinched. Even after a thorough cleaning there will still be residue.

I medicate with my kids. My youngest one is 30 and my oldest is 35. My youngest was T-boned at 60+mph and uses for his back. The oldest hurt his back lifting someone out of their bed, so he has back issues too. I am 57 and put 20 years in the Marine Corps, I have a few aches and pains myself.

I totally agree. Both Volcano-beaters, no question. I know the Volcano gets a bad rap on this forum, so I'll explain what I mean- No other vaporizer that I've come across warrants a price tag that's higher than the Volcano's, except for the Cloud and the miniVAP.

Don't you think S&B could make a Volcano with half the size, lower price and ability to put whip in it and use it without forced air? I honestly can't understand why they don't considering their position in the market and how long the Volcano is out.

They have their Plenty Vaporizer. I think where they went wrong there, was not making it battery operated...and it looks like a black & decker power tool.

Its ginormous! The Plenty is another flop IMO, i mean its good but they have the capacity of building an european equivalent of a Cloud because they have the engineering and the funds needed, or the miniVAP for that matter. This to give an example of an equivalent, in my view at least, portable and desktop to the S&B products and pricing.

Holy crap vorrange...I just took a hit of some Qwiso and then tried to read what you wrote...and I know it should make sense but it's all jumbled. I wish you could see it from my perspective right now lol :science:

I agree on the jumblyness, ;) I wrote it under the influence of my newly arrived HI enjoying some heavy fogging.

In a maniac cleaning rampage I fully (straight to the core) dissembled the unit and cleaned it thoroughly. Almost all the parts are cleanable with hot water and percarbonate+zeolites+polycarboxylates. The quality of the materials in the interns is impressive. Everything was already really clean, the design works good at keeping it safe.

For the electronics and air path (they are impressively compact), since I obviously didn't wanted to use water, I used 95% food grade alcohol, it did a really nice job. It feels pure now. I have been really impressed with the overall building. The intelligence in the simplification, the level of integration are really solid. I have took great pictures for the record but I will not publish.

The volcano is next in line. I have too much stuff to do theses days but he's going to get cleaned up to the core too in the next two weeks.

I also removed the decarbox ring and switched back to the teflon one, finally, getting faster rips also means getting less smooth hit. I think this one might stay in the drawer

Me too ... it should be interesting to see if the price tag warrants it (I've tried a TON of different portables, not as many as some on these forums of course, and have high hopes for this one as far as vapor quality/production)

Did anyone try le liquid pad with pure waxes and/or crumbled hash pure?
How does it work? I assume that mixing with herb it'll work but I like pure flavor.
I'm pretty amazed by the unit and if I can discover something more about the FC discount I think there will be another proud owner soon right here.

The MV and the VXLC (that I'm eager to try buy, so I can compare) are the only remaining vaporizing machines that makes me want to spend money.

I was actually thinking about buying a second MV in a while to be bullet proof in therms of gear.

I had a great talk with the creator today (I retained him more than a half hour on the phone), I asked him about every tiny bit of material inside the unit, now my overall comprehension on how the machine works is really solid. I can now say that this is near perfection work. I studied electronics for 4 years at school and I was really enjoying the quality gear aspect of it. From my point of view, the level of quality and competence, packed so tightly in the MV is intellectually atonshing.

The decarbox ring may never see the light, since the experience is best using the teflon ring and silicone cone. It literally blows my mind.

I just received the wholesale pricing from Slide4less, but i'm not going to publish. All I can say is that it makes the most financial sense to buy the entire package with the power adapter, car charger, etc. If you don't you're only saving $40 by getting the battery model exclusively.

I'm waiting on JCat's feedback....he knows his vapes inside out, and if he gives it the stamp of approval, i'm pouncing on it.
