HI! So here, a video of my favorite setup...

thanks.
very interested in what piece mates to the miniVAP? What is that? Buy it or make it?
Looks similar to the Dong :) The Delrin & stainless steel adapter pictured below:

A few posts ago he mentioned what it was.....the Lotus WPA. I'm also intrigued by that despite being one of the lucky few that have the Delrin adapter.

hi everybody, yesterday i found that the lotus wpa fits perfectly in the minivap. As it's steel, perhaps it brings decarboxilation

I searched VaporNation to find this piece--no luck.
Any links to who has/ sells this piece?
You use it without the cover. Does it go down into the chamber/ fit tight against the chamber wall or
what? If it goes into chamber, do you have to worry about it marring the teflon chamber surface?
Thanks

its the wpa for the Lotus. You can buy it from them here:

http://www.lotusvaporizer.com/node/28

I'll try that method tonight to compare with the Song and DonG.

Thanks stickstones.
I see one screen inside the WPA. Does it have a top and bottom screen to form the herb chamber?

Let us know how it performs. I'm guessing it would be like the mV metal insert kit which adds conduction to the chamber. I'm a flavor chaser so it might not be for flavor chasers???

Hi, it's the lotus wpa.It fits whithout domages in the tefon chamber.I use a top and buttom screen.
It's perfect, you just have to wait to remove it because it's hot. It fits perfectly with the flexicone + too.

So all that complaining earlier this week on wanting a more stable solution and look what I have now!

I got to break it in last night.
I never thought this would come out of my mouth but I'm loving the DonG!

P.S. My glass is not as nasty as this picture makes it look. :)

Looks good!
What's going on as your Dong looks bigger than my Dong ;)
I'm depressed now lol.

regarding the Lotus wpa...I haven't used it yet, but it won't work like the decarb kit. It fits snug in the Teflon sleeve but loose without it. Using it without the sleeve won't make it any more stable than it is with the flexicone when inverted. With the Teflon sleeve it is too tight to be used easily. I think it is going to work, but still be less than ideal. I'll report after using it. It's great to have another mod to try...thanks @Vap974 !

Almost there...
Thanks to @Ratchett , there is no easy way to say this...
I love my SonG!!
Lol! That makes no sense as I was medicated and had read a post about DonG's and put that instead of SonG! Thanks to @MinnBobber

Ordered the Ratchett MiniVap 18mm cover, gave it a wash with warm water and soap and the smell is almost gone.
Time for testing!

Fit is fairly snug and feels secure.
Does come off when removing from WT occasionally but that is most likely me pressing down too hard!
Works just as advertised!!
Love it!

I went to get some new medicine and get ready for a nice full day session with the Minivap... Then I get called into work

With that being said I have managed to get my technique down a bit more, the abv is getting darker than before. The bowl is hot to touch as well now which is a pretty good sign. 30 more minutes and I'll be able to give it a proper test with some actual quality medicine... I certainly need it after a 12 hour shift!

lazylathe, just remember that Ratchett Song can be used with water pieces other than a hydratube.

I often use Song and then attach MFLB water whip. Then take direct hits on low temps. Slip water whip
into bubbler for higher temp draws.

Pic below is without Song, but MFLB whip connection to mV cover slips off with slightest bump.
With the Song the whip connection is super solid.

So I gave that lotus wpa a run last night and it works. It's not my favorite setup, but if you have one lying around you might like what you get. I used it without the teflon insert because I still have a virgin chamber that I don't want to soil. As you might expect, this produced even more convection and less browning, with slightly less cloudy hits. The hits were light enough that I took the duff and hit it like normal and got very little out of it, so it was pretty thoroughly extracted even with its lighter color.

So, in the end, it works and can either be a loose fit or a tight fit. It's not my favorite mod, but we need all we can get here!

Some of you have alluded to me working with Hermes. I haven't said anything yet because I don't like to count my chickens before they hatch, but that is the goal we are working on. The things I want to provide are: customer service to the US customers (and Canadian, if it's feasible), what I like to call the 'mestizo' adapter, and some special, limited edition kits. We are also working on me doing repairs and firmware updates stateside instead of having to send them to Spain. We will start small and make sure it's all working well and growing right. imo, best case scenario for launching is two weeks, with a month being more realistic. But it wouldn't shock me if it took twice that long. There is still a lot to do to get this to work, so send me your good vibes! This great, but sometimes plagued, little vape deserves the attention I want to give it.

MiniVAP news keeps getting better. Thanks for sharing some details with us!

But I like it!
For some wierd reason shipping from Spain to Canada (and v) was pretty cheap... But it would still be nice to have a facility within a time zone or two... And it could increase their market substantially, with bugs wrinkled out of materials and such...

PS - my return is in DHL-land as 'registered for shipment'... still holding out hope that it actually left last Wed night and it will be here by yesterday... umm... c'mon Monday! :)

Would using the Mv outside in cold windy temps be enough to cool it down and decrease performance? I mostly vape outside as I'm on campus, and the one time I did get properly extracted abv from it was on a nice sunny day.

Well, that doesn't sound like a lot. But if you're noticing a difference that may be it. Looks like your are our ambient temp tester! Let's see if it just gets better from here while it warms up.

Please see if you can get supplies in your catalog.

That is on the list as well.

It's an obsession but it's pleasin'
3-5 degrees Celsius with 10-20mph winds.

I'd try tucking it in an inside jacket pocket. Batteries work much better when they're warm and of course your body warms the air inside your jacket. As long as you're clean and smell good, the vapor should too!

Ok I might take a gamble on this vape. Couple of questions- what accessories do I need? There's a bewildering array and I'm not sure what does what. I want to avoid water if possible and hit dry. And does Hermes have another vape planned to come out this year? Looks as though the minivap is now 5 years old, not considering the updates, I'd be gutted after splashing out on this if a new model came out.
