Hi guys,
New to this forum and vaping in general. Started out quitting smoking thanks to a Halo Triton Tank system and now looking at getting a vaporizer for my 'herbs'.

I have been doing a heap of research and think I have it narrowed down to the Arizer Solo. I don't need anything super portable and will mainly use it at home. I also liked it as it has a glass stem and looks very easy to clean.

My mate is going to buy a VHIT Boom and is trying to talk me into it. From what I've read it seems as though the VHIT causes combustion, is this right?

Anyone on here have the VHIT Boom or want to compare the VHIT and the Solo for me briefly?

My apologies if this has been asked before but I had a bit of a search and couldn't find anything. Maybe that's because the VHIT causes combustion and this site is FUCK COMBUSTION haha.

Thanks in advance, it may not be too late to change his mind!

I can't tell out any thing boy the boom I just looked it up and it looks relay cool

Now the Sol I can tell you you can not go wrong with it as a 1st Vape I have haad mine for a few years and its still asbgood as the day I got it it gets me very stoned from 1-2 bowls and is just simple to use

Tbh Most hear will recommend a solo and this us the biggest site about vapes so it must be good no?

Do you want something you know will be reliable, or something with no track record? The Solo's been around for years. Who knows if the Boom co. will still be in business next year?

Like max said - go with something which has been tried and tested and proven a winner by many people. Just look at how big the Solo thread is on this site - There's a reason for that.

Maybe consider the Boom as a second vape, but get the Solo as your first vape

There is some info here - http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vhit-boom.10977/

I've seen one in person and it's not a vaporizer, it's an electric pipe. The design is just wrong, it's heater coil is like an automotive cigarette lighter... and that goes right next to the herb. A Bic lighter would be a better purchase. I never thought I'd even see one in person, but some shop owners will buy anything once.

As others have said, purchase something that is well known and has a strong track record. The Arizer Solo is a great choice for anyone, especially someone new to vaping.

Thanks guys! I think I am definitely going to go the Solo based on what I've read. I just wanted to get a second opinion :) My mate said he's scoped it out and the VHIT doesn't combust but I said I thought it did based on what I've read. He is keen to get it because it apparently gives you more of a hit like a billy and that's probably why! It burns the herbs. Anyway I'm happy I'll be making the right choice. It was originally between the Solo and the Davinci Ascent but eventually the Solo won out for me. My little bro has the original Davinci and loves it. Man! How good is the 'EpicHerbReviews' guy on Youtube! Love his reviews, always good for a laugh but also very informative! Thanks for all the replies guys, keep em flowing :)

Well, it's a good thing you'll have two different vapes to compare. With so many choices out there - why should the two of you start with the same vape? Kinda ruins the fun of switching devices and comparing the pros and cons.

Maybe the Vhit combusts, maybe it doesn't - you'll find out soon enough!

I have the Ascent, and wish I had gone for the Solo instead for my first vape (I passed over the Solo because it looked fugly).

Enjoy the solo, and get reading on the official Solo thread, there's thousands of useful posts to read!

Thanks Ratchett, I certainly will enjoy it! You make a good point, will be good to try his out. We're gonna have a few 'vape' days! haha
I started reading the Solo thread from the start but man, that thing is humongous! I've decided to start 30 pages from the end and if I need more info I'll go back earlier ;)

UPDATE: I've ordered my Arizer Solo today as well as a Pinnacle Water Tool and a 14mm male GonG Adapter. Can't wait for it to get here! Will post some reviews and comparisons here between the SOLO and the VHIT Boom when my mate get's his. I will be sure to post on the SOLO thread as well. So pumped! Now the big question.....vape case or not? It won't be leaving home very often but I suppose it couldn't hurt to protect the investment. Anybody have any experience with the vape case for this model or are there better options out there? I'm in Aus as well. I like the look of the Vape Case but not so much that it has it written all over it hence giving away the contents....
