Yo yo :)

Don't know how anyone else here has been getting on with their gunked up Lily stems, but I use the original short stem & find that it gets covered in golden goo pretty damn quick.

I've generally been hot water washing on demand when I want a sparkly clean hit from Lily but I was recently inspired in the Zion thread (a pretty regular occurrence over there) by an idea from @thekarmawhore.

He basically suggested to clean & reclaim from the Zion stems by reverse pushing the basket style screen through the stem, thus scraping & gathering up all the lost goodness along the way.

Simples!

So, I thought I would apply this method to my Lily stem, but knowing Lily's love for full nuggage I decided to forego the screen and instead take a suitable sized nug & force that down & through Lily's stem :science:

Woah yes!!!

My stem was clean on one pass & for my efforts out popped a beautiful and glistening oil covered nug which I feel is really best described as a 'stem bogey'! :D

Out of one hole and into another :brow:
Full nug into Lily's bowl and WOWEEEE ! ! ! :ko:

Soooooo many tasty potent hits!

Does anyone else do this? If you haven't given it a go I wholeheartedly recommend it

I love things to be clean but now I just wanna get Lily all dirrrrrrty! :p

Thank you @thekarmawhore

Coincidentally, I've done a little scraping today :-)

I have most definitely not been keeping things clean, at all, and got half a gram of reclaim this afternoon!

Used one in the classifieds, i got mine from there and it was cheap theres one for 70 there.
True, but that one has no torch and for 13 more I could get one brand new. So my question is this....
Would the lily be fine used or is it best to personally season it?
Also how likely is it that a warranty would come into play?
If it would need to be serviced on warranty, would buying used be a hassle?

First off I don't see what could really go wrong with the lily short of breaking a glass intake or stem but either way just buy replacement..brand new it has the flavor of the wood very strong but I own all three and mainly use lily with the wpa or dry with the eds mp..I really like the peace..for the price..

I agree on the price point, but from what I can tell it looks like it takes more time and effort to achieve vapor?
Looking for ultra fast on demand(ish) hits. The Pax or the mighty can't do this. Also the peace seems a little less stow and go?

Can't go wrong with the lily once get hang of it. Can easily go through a bowl in two three hits, and takes about 3-5 seconds to get nice big hits. Find mine tends to heat the left side more so needs a good stir to get all of it. I don't find it to be harsh on the throat as others were saying they had. Actually cough way less with lily then with the mighty, though after awhile throat can get scratchy. Also i find angling the torch into the periscope works best for myself, faster heat for me. Got from PIU Tuesday and been enjoying since, plus came with a touch lighter (haven't used, bought some from Amazon that work and make a bit less awkward to hold imo) and two periscopes (one I think is the original and other the newer one) and after coupon code came to 75 and some change. Can't recommend PIU enough, always great service and fast shipping. Anyway highly recommend lily, beautiful in so many ways

At the moment, it's how I'm using her the most, but I wouldn't say it's a preference. I like hitting her dry just fine too.

That sounded wrong*

*but I liked it
Following suit...
I just wish to use her for quickies in the bushes
I need to get to that happy ending high as fast as possible...who cares what she thinks!

I realize you already made your decision, however if you use the Peace the way I do, it is very stow and go and takes very little effort actually. I have been toting the Peace around as a back-up or just -incase my ESV were to crap out on me. I have not had to use the Peace, however last night I decided to use the Peace on my drive home just to give my ESV a break and recant with the Peace. I drive a long straight 60 minutes. I never put the Peace down and I was able to do it while driving (not that I recommend this). I also was able to handle the glass within seconds after hitting the Peace.

...just sayin...but I have not joined the Lily club. I probably should but I have sustained despite my inability to avoid this thread and read every new post

How long do you think it takes for you to produce vapor/ take a hit with your peace?

I'm pretty sure if I'm digging the lily as much as I think I will...I'm pretty sure I can justify a peace purchase

A few seconds.. I have been playing with the flame placement a lot on the Daisy lately and there are many ways to find the sweet spot. Its probably much easier to practice on the Lily and Daisy.

The sound of vapor
So, I've came here with 2 "issues" I had/have as I'm a Lily user as well now and managed to find the answer to the first one but not the second, I'm sure you guys will have some input though.

  • The water tool adapter is too narrow and doesn't fit tight in the Lily
It won't fit inside the glass mouthpiece. I'm sure the idea is to remove the glass mouthpiece and replace it with the WPA, but the diameter of the WPA I received is smaller than the diameter of my mouthpiece, rendering the piece useless as it just falls right out.

Yay, Tommy just called and came to the rescue. Because of the manufacturing specs for this particular piece, what you have to do is use the O-ring in not the standard fashion. You remove the O-ring and put it in sideways on the bottom (think of putting a coin in a vending machine.) That creates the snug fit that keeps everything in place.

Now it's time to fill the water pipe.

  • Errmm... how do I get the screen out of there to clean it without destroying it? :hmm:

I like that vape by the way, it's kinda taking the spot of my Lotus for the moment, I could do without the wood taste but it's slowly fading away and well, I'm not a torch vape specialist so I'm often getting dangerously close to combusting (it had to happen a couple of times of course) but yeah overall I think it's a nice vape.

For the screens, its tricky but you're supposed to use a dull tip in the center to concave it a bit, so you can then grab one of the edges. It's tricky to not damage the screens sometimes, especially using a steel poker to pry em up farther so the tweezers can grab em, but after a couple sloppy attempts I got it to a system and the screens aren't getting damaged anymore. Theyre nice and durable at least

That wood taste will break in for sure, I'd also suggest expirmenting with longer stems for dry use, I use a bent Solo stem with mine (though I have to hold it up against the o ring with my mouth as I hit to make the seal).

Yea WPA isn't ideal seal, with the sideways o ring, but it certainly works! Just find I need to cover the holes a bit more than when dry
