Discontinued Lil' Bud by Vapwood

That load is to far away from the heater. You need to move the screen to the end of the stem about a 1/4" inside and load and tap. That look like it might be a scientific fitting on the end of the stem which might be preventing it from sitting close to the heater. Good luck.

I've found some simlilar troubles when using a very long mouthpiece, or a stem that really outstands on vapor cooling due to lack of feedback; while when using a regular stem I'm able to regulate temps trough breath sensibility, long-simple wooden stems included.

But I've got a RBT mouthpiece with a water trap that I don't use so often because of the high combustion risk. At the beggining I thought this was an improvement in vapor cooling and it really was. But the other face of the coin is the 'delay' on your knowledge about how your oven temp... and its consequnces. I can counterbalance it counting secs while breathing, but it ruins the 'organic feel' of selfregulated vapes

So my conclusions are: keep a close distance from your oven/basket ratio and be aware on your mouthpiece cooling effect. Both factors add this 'delay' issue.

Sorry for the speech, but if something sounds sketchy I can rewrite it ;-)

Edit: throat sensibility vs counting breath sequence. You can get used to any stem if scientifically approched, but it decreases the natural/easy enjoyment at the start until you get used to it and the whole process is habituated.

When heavily testing Lil' Bud early on, I found long stems to not provide enough feed back, especially long heavier glass stems. The thin glass lining seems to be just about right to provide some cooling, but not inhibit feedback. I just got my first heat dispersion glass insert, haven't tried it yet. I am also working on a heat dispersion disc / screen for above the coil. Will be testing a couple of configurations pretty soon.

For those waiting for their Lil' Buds. a couple of nasty dental issues slowed me some, but I should have my full November batch assembled and shipped by mid December. Final assembly of the batch is in progress.

I have decided to go ahead and build another mega pre-assembly Lil' Bud batch for 2020, but first I need to sell off some of my current pre-assembly stock of custom stuff. I must have 20 LB's of various custom designs, blended woods (walnut, cherry, maple, purple heart). Regardless of state of build, all will be top quality, and final assembled when you order it. Let's call it a Cyber Monday Special. Anyone who wants to step into on demand full convection, now is the time.

Pot Luck Lil' Bud $99 plus battery ($20), tube ($20), shipping ($10). Just pay for what you want. I'll include you in the December shipping.

@Bravesst I just emailed you about my order. Is there any chance I could cancel it and swap it out for a pot luck lil bud? Please and thank you, hopefully you had a relaxing thanksgiving.

Just when I was feeling all proud of myself for avoiding Black Friday deals...

Sent my payment for a Pot Luck Lil' Bud yesterday! Should we expect to receive email purchase confirmations for these?

Thanks in advance!

The pot luck $99 sale (picked from my pre-assembled collection of blended woods) was a big hit, and I have several units left at this price. As soon as my current batch of Timbers and LB's are shipped (next week), I'll go to work assembling this pot luck batch.

A sampling of this batch.

I'm waiting on some last minute batteries, but they are supposed to arrive today. Looks like I'll be headed postal tomorrow AM either way.

I'll be at the post office at 9 AM. I have to hold up on order for some batts, but the rest will fly the coupe. I can now start to assemble my pot luck buds, of which there are only a couple left for sale. Then, it's on to the 2020 prep, as I plan to pre-assemble (do all the woodwork) a decent stock of walnut, cherry, and maple Lil' Buds. The only thing I'm really working on (conceptually at least) is playing around with roasting tube concepts. The LB heater / electronics is so pure, so simple, the only thing that can be adjusted now is how we actually present the herb to the coil. For fun, and function, I'll be trying some stuff out. I have one very cool, very simple idea that may open LB (and Timber) up to very many options. Of course, you can thank @Alan for the original *nudge* in this direction, but I'm excited to build a 14 mm LB and Timber prototype.

Batteries, according to tracking, arrive tomorrow morning. I'll do my best to get to the post office before they close. Hopefully, those who've already got their tracking will be getting their units tomorrow, or Tuesday at the latest.
