I wouldn't say he's 'famous'. I think his level of fame is commensurate with an SNL 'star'.

I'll be honest the dude was a childhood idol of mine for a while when he was in his prime, on All That and Kenan and Kel. But he's complete crap on SNL imho, I don't think I've ver watched something of his on SNL I've enjoyed. But I haven't really enjoyed SNL in a while, Samberg seems to be the only life to that show these days, him and JT when he's hosting. That show was the cream of the crop in terms of sketch but I find myself enjoying Who's Line re-runs over that the new SNL

The very best was the original cast back in '75. Used to watch it religiously after firing up a joint when it first aired with John Belushi, Jane Curtain, Gilda Radner, etc etc. Classic stuff......

Can you imagine what it must have been like workin' on the SNL set back in those days. The partially ad-libed skits and stuff. I would imagine you'd wake up in the morning having absolutely no idea what was in store for you when you headed out to the studio. Is there such a thing as having too much fun??

Kenan was saying people like Spielberg and Tom Hanks would just be walking around backstage. I can't image who was there when it was actually good in the late 70s.
