Is there a trick to getting a new screen in a Buddha Wand?

Man I am so frustrated!. I wasn't getting good vapor. The weed was turning dark brown really fast and I wasn't feeling anything. Ah Ha! It needs a new screen. I finally managed to get it to sit in there, took a couple hits and decided to stir. Knocked the screen loose. I can't get another one to sit in there no matter what I try!

These are the copper screens not the silver ones. Somene told me the copper colored ones are easier to get a tight fit. I can't get it to stop falling through. It's exactly the same size as the one I took out.

I received the new wand and it looks exactly like the wand that came with my buddha. I still don't see how to get a screen to stay in there so I can load it and not have anything fall through.

Do you see the lip when you look in the male joint end............push the screen down so it sets there.
The basket screen just pops in the end of the wand if you are modding.

Are you trying to encapsulate your herb between two screens in the wand?

What do you mean "modding"

I need a screen to sit in it so that it forms a bowl in which to hold the herb. When I try to put a small round screen to fit on the little lip, the screen just falls through. Even if it looks like it's sitting on the lip, herb is somehow falling through around the edgle when I daw and the glass tube is filling up.

The other end of the whip has the mouthpiece that you draw from.

Ok gotcha..............never had that problem your screens are flat and the correct size?
Sorry to ask but unless your screens or wand are malformed or maybe you have different size screens..........I must not understand, sorry.

Can you measure your screens? Mine are small round screens and look like they fit. It's just tricky getting it in there and getting it to lay flat.

The easiest way, is to use two pencils with erasers.
curve the screen very slightly...
Lift one pencil eraser first into wand bottom (tube side)
Place curved screen into DBV wand (Herb end).
Use the other pencil to take over for your finger....
Guide the Screen downwards using the bottom pencil to guide, and the top pencil to flatten screen in place.

Thank you very much. I am sure the video is going to make all the difference in the world. I wonder why I bought another wand though. I guess it's good to have a spare.

the screen just falls through.

Sounds like you need a bigger screen. You should shape it like a dome, not a basket, it sits on the inner lip. But no matter how you put your screen, some debris will get through, by going around the edges of the screen or through the holes in the screen. But if your screen is too small, more will come through.

I'm not sure if the rimmed basket screens that come with DDave's wand will fit the original DBV wand (I have both, but I'm too high and lazy at the moment to get up and check...but you already have them ordered, so it's less important). They're great for smaller loads, but the temp will be a little lower than with the original wand/bowl method because your herb is now closer to the heater.

If you like those basket screens for smaller loads, but like the full original bowl for larger loads, then you be glad to have two wands, so you can keep each wand loaded with it's type of screen to be ready for whichever size bowl fits your mood at the time.
