Discontinued Inhalater portable

After having the Inhalater for a few days, here's the review: :)

Size & Portability: This portable is quite small and light. Measures 5.75' x 1.25'. It can easily fits in my pocket without a huge bulge like the Vapman do. The Inhalater also comes with an alcohol lamp as heat source, but I only use it when I'm at home; when traveling, I use a zippo filled with 91% iso, the reason I use iso is because the flame doesn't create any nasty looking soot on the unit like butane or zippo fuel does.

Construction: Very Well made. The herb chamber and mouthpiece are made of Polyimide (a high-temp organic resin)

Vapor Taste and density: The first hit I took, I was quite amazed, the vapor taste very unique, tasted it almost as good as purple days vapor even though the inhalater is a conduction vape. Cloud chasers may be disappointed at the vapor density, but when exhale under light, I can see a stream of vapor comparable to the Herbalaire. Most importantly after only 2 hits, I was VAKED!

Efficiency: I get about 12 + good hits off 0.02 gram. Found it to be extremely efficient.

Stealth: I was over at church friend's house this weekend, she is very against use of any form of illegal drugs, I went in the washroom, within a few minutes, i had over 6 satisfying hits! It was quick and easy. I came out her bathroom high as a fucking kite

Inhalater vs Iolite & other portable units: I get high off 1 or 2 hits within a minute vs having to wait 5 minutes for the iolite to warm up, another 10, 20 minutes to catch a buzz. With an Inhalater, I get a great tasting cloud in less than 30 second. The MFLB might be the winner in this case, but I don't have to wait hours for the battery to charge up, if my zippo run out of iso, I just refill it, keep an eyedropper bottle filled with iso on, so you're always good to go. (remember to label the bottle!!! u don't want this end up in your eye!!!) This thing also works quietly, unlike the Vapman and Iolite gets way too noisy to use at a public washroom when others are present.

Finally, The LED thermometer is very helpful, the AVB is always medium brown color. Normaly with the zippo it heats up to vaporizing temperature within 20 seconds.

here's a video of it in use, enjoy

Polyimide is an organic resin that exhibit outstanding engineering properties, especially thermal stability, dielectric strength, mechanical strength, temperature stability and chemical resistance, and is used in many medical devices.

I wish companies would focus more on affordable portables, who wants to spend 250 on this portable when you can get a great home unit for that much. Then if your need really is portability, the LB, VG, and Lotus are all around 100 or less and work great.

I dont like it, seems too complicated for its own good.

As much as I love to see new portables, I'm not feeling it yet with this one. First glance looks good but doesn't look as easy to use out in town as most others and it's outrageously priced for a lighter based vape, so for the moment I will pass unless the video review changes my mind :)

Pretty much agree with this exactly. How can it be considered a portable if you really cant use it on the go.

Especially if like the video says it really is not a good idea to use with a lighter.

Having to use the little cup of gel is just kind of funny to me...

Agreed. Price-tag is a bit high as well IMO.

Interested to see your review vaporninja.

My impression is that is is considered a portable vape because it can easily be transported from one location to another, however, that does not necessarily mean that it is an on-the-go portable vape (rather a portable one that requires one to find an acceptable place to set-up/use it).

As usual, just my :2c:

Toke it easy.

So what makes it portable , any vape that I or mostly anyone else owns can be packed up and moved .
:2c:

Im waiting to see if the review makes it look any better .

Packed safely in the pockets of your pants?

In the video it looks to be about 7-9 inch ( I was informed its 5.75" ) long with the cover on ( and thats not including the gel fuel ) , that is a big pant pocket .

Edit : how I figured the size is , when its in the box showing all the stuff that comes in the box they have a big lighter beside it , if its a normal sized bic ** NO its not its a mini bic ** (hey are a hair over 3 inch ) then the white with out the cover is the size of a bic 3" then the cover you can tell its longer then the base so somewhere around 7" ( its really 5.75" ) long .

I'm sure this unit has its place, where that lies remains to be seen IMO.
It lies in the upper stratoshere of portables, price wise. I have a problem with the price, as well as a statement or two on the FAQ page, in particular the one that says that ABV is noxious, since noxious is defined as harmful or injurious to health.

Noticed that this unit is now pictured in the wikipedia entry for vaporizer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporizer with the caption "radiation vaporiser."
Since anyone can update wikipedia, I wouldn't read much into this. Also notice that the caption has the 's' spelling of vaporizer, which is what you see on the Inhalater site. ;)

Agreed. And yes I found the timing of the update and the spelling suspicious as well :D

They may have changed the comment in the FAQ's about ABV being noxious, but it now reads "Can the residues from the vaporisation chamber be smoked? No. Residues are constituted of plant material that emit noxious fumes when burning." (underline added and spaces omitted) which I feel is debtably accurate.

However, "affordablely priced" and "usable everywhere" seem to be a bit of a stretch (plus the very limited, 4 week, warranty makes the relatively high price of the unit even more important).

IMO, it is an interesting evolution for the torch powered vape market (which I am not actually a customer of, excluding oil).

*Off-topic side note: It is a shame how many purchase units based on general searches of marketing crap IMO, but evident that the makers of the inhalator are aware of this (and rightfully taking advantage of it). Maybe someone should give FC (a much less biased resource IMO) a shout-out on the vaporizer page of wikipedia? Please don't respond to this comment in this thread unless you have something inhalator related too. ;)

A representative for this device showed up in the #fuckcombustion channel (the Chat Room at the top of the page for those who don't know) and I pointed out that statement as well as some other information I felt was wrong or misleading. It's a bit disappointing that they haven't changed it.

The rep also couldn't answer the basic questions s/he would face in a thread like this either, such as materials safety, airpath, etc. The claim was made that the "medicinal phytosubstrates" (my new favourite pseudonym for weed) heated evenly in the chamber, something we all expressed doubts about. The rep gave a complementary device to one of the people in the channel, who promised a review and a video. (I'm looking at you VaporNinja.)

Based on the video I saw of this thing, it seems to be one of the least appealing vapes I've seen yet. This one is definitely not for me....... Sorry folks.
