improvising a vape... using a heat source...

Hey everyone.

Alright, excuse me for being impatient and all BUT here's the story..

I lost my vaporgenie on new years eve... I ordered a new one, but I'm in Canada and expect it to be at least a week before it shows up. I have a plain ol glass pipe, but I really really don't wanna smoke unless I have to.

Has anyone improvised anything that could produce vapors in a similar way (excluding the light bulb vape.. I am not really into that idea)

I was thinking more along the lines of putting some herb in a teaspoon and lighting it underneath. I know, makes me sound like a crack addict haha. I read once someone put some herb in a frying pan and heated it until vapors appeared.

I'm looking for a quick easy way to get some vapor going.. :)

any ideas? Thanks :)

Go out and buy a ceramic soldiering iron, and hold it above your bowl so it heats the air. Never tried it, but I bet it'd work with some practice. Or maybe you can find something cheaper you can heat with a lighter.
Or, if you can, try cooking with it to avoid smoking.
