I need a vaporizer. What should I get?

Hi everyone I was advised to post a thread in here. You all have been so helpful so far. I was talked into purchasing an atmos raw and I hate it. It broke after a month. Now I want a new vaporizer but I think I need to do my research first, haha. I would prefer something portable if possible. Something that the heating element won't break after a month like it did with my atmos raw. Other than that I have no other requirements. The lower the price the better, I guess. Something that's easy to use. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks so much!

Start reading the arizer solo thread, if your looking for portable but it won't quite fit in your pants pocket.

+1 on the solo. It is my "first" vape and I love it. Not as portable as some of the newer portables, but the price, function, and reliability makes it a no-brainer. You can grab a new one for $160. It is a great starting point that will def. keep you happy for a while, at least.

I expected to use it as my home unit and get another for portable use, but this one has me satisfied for now. I've had it around 3 weeks, give or take. I plan to use it exclusively and wait to see how the newer generation of portables shape up over the next 6-12 months.

Others to consider: The Inhalater XP (seems like my next purchase) looks awesome and the Da vinci Ascent looks good too (Iphone sized). Also, there is the Pax (Ipod sized) and E-nano (small plug-in). I suggest to read the threads and ask questions...the owners can def. point you in the right direction once you narrow down to two or three units.

Solo is a good suggestion, and it might renew your faith in vaporizers.

Tell us a bit more about how you intend on using it...do you need something you can toss in a small pocket, or mainly something you can carry over to a friends house? How heavy of a user are you? What is your budget exactly? Herbs or herbs and oils/concentrates? Fill us in so we can help you better

Sorry, good point. I would like something I can bring to a friends house. Doesn't necessarily need to fit in a pocket. I probably use it twice to three times a day. And I use dry herbs. My budget is probably about 150 to 200 or so.

I'd definitely say Solo then. It can be had for around $160 shipped from PV if I recall correctly.

Edit: FlashVape is very good as well, and affordable at $129.99 but there is a learning curve to that one. Solo is more automatic.

This is a great and unbiased post. I would look into all of these as well.

E-Nano if youre going to go with a desktop plugin. Solo if you want something you can plugin but also can sneak into a bathroom and get a few hits in. Desktops will always hit better, and the log vapes seem to have a really good rep around here. At Epicvape.com you can pick it up for about $170 with the coupon code FCLOVE, although, you will have to wait about 3 weeks if you hop on the list now. For the Solo, hit up Planetvape and use the Solohq160 code to get it for $160, and can even grab a GonG or high efficiency stem as they have a great selection of accessories.

From the vapes I've had available to review so far, I'm really impressed overall with the Pax. You're paying $250 for a vape, so you'll have to baby it and clean it constantly... but the clouds are really satisfying for a portable, battery lasts long, and it is very portable. I'd also recommend the FlashVAPE. check out some YouTube reviews and make sure to watch the video on the "Stage 2" upgrade kit. Kind of lame that you have to buy it separate, but it gets some major vapor for a portable.

At the risk of answering a stupid question because I'm new at this, if I were to get a box vaporiZer what would you recommend? And what are the differences between a box vaporizer and a portable one aside from portability? Thanks!

OK I can now come out of the bush and say I own an FV and a S2 add-on & a Pax and I agree with pakalolo on all of the above!

Solo is very easy to use
XP is just as easy and more portable IMO..also takes more herb so if you need a bigger bowl its perfect.

Actually, Paka is correct. The Stage-2 kit really does make the FV very easy to use for the newcomer. For what it's worth, I have not used my Solo since getting my FV. The fast heat up time is nice, and the flavour is equal to if not better than Solo now that the Stage-2 kit makes it a convection device...user replaceable batteries, tough as nails...is it too late to change my recommendation?
