Having used both, imo, there is no comparison as far as which is more effective in treating arthritis, chronic pain, anxiety or as an aid to sleep.

ABV? Save every drop. If you combust herb once in awhile SAVE the "roaches". Add these to your brown ABV and twist up a pinner. Even without the "roaches" added I find the ABV more effective in treating the conditions mentioned in my first sentence. But with a few "combusted roaches" added its like having an eternal stash of quality bud.

Don't toss your ABV (unless you grow of course)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's much better to eat ABV . make a firecracker or just add it to anything with fat and eat it... depending how heavy you vaped will determine th eleft over material and how strong it is... be careful and experiment starting small and working up from there... whatever you add it to be sure and add lecithin as well.. I use sunflower lecithin and avoid soy

ABV made the arthritisy pain I get in my ankles and knees disappear, but it takes larger doses. I tend to eat 10-15 grams in a dose. Dig much under 10g, and it doesn't do much for me.

I'd run out of ABV quickly that way...so I save it for only when I'm feeling extra bad.

I've never tried CBD isolate. Need to order some to try.

your ABV must be very cooked already to need 10 gr, have you tried lecithin to increase the potency? back when I had the Iolite vape( max temp of 375 F) I made two 3.5 g firecrackers with the ABV and ate them... completely high for two days straight with a big OL grin all day long... that was quite the trip

CBD oil from bud is much more intense then any derived from just a plain "hemp" plant. Plain old hemp has lower THC and CBD levels, much lower.

Save your money on cbd oils (terps, gummies, cbd oil) derived from hemp. One Alleve is more effective! I paid $70 for 15 milligrams (half a liquid ounce) from Green Roads........Blueberry OG Terp(enes) cbd oil......I got played.

CBD oil derived from a sativa or indica plant is 10 x as effective as CBD derived from a "hemp" plant. CBD Isolate from a "hemp" plant is also a ripoff compared to a sativa, indica or a hybrid CBD oil.

CBD isolate from anything is just the CBD molecule. some hemp strains aren't bad and have a lot of cbd when they're grown well, but most of the time it's too expensive still.

i'm having more luck with cbd isolate and hemp terpenes than I did with low-thc sour tsunami herb :\ I didn't have too much luck with sublingual cbd oil though (with up to ~80mg CBD doses)

i tried high-thc sour tsunami earlier, and it just made me very high and couchlocked. great for sleep, nausea and itching. dunno for anxiety/depression

lmao nice troll. there are cleaner ways to get more CBN

    ........................................................................
Which exact product was that? How much CBD was in it as that's the key factor?
There was a 350 mg CBD product in 15 ml bottle.
My CBD product is 1200 mg CBD in 15 ml bottle so 3.5 times stronger, a good thing with CBD.

    NSAIDs like Aleve, not a good thing compared to cannabis, regarding how well each works AND regarding side effects;
NSAIDS hospitalize tens of thousands each year and kill thousands VS
Zero cannabis/CBD deaths over 6000 years.

Maybe you need to try a stronger CBD product? I find CBD creams/oils/gummies to be remarkably effective.
    Your results may vary :)

    Fuck Aleve....

I bought 350 mg in a 15 mill bottle. But if you grow you will see cbd oil derived from marijuana plants compared to "hemp" plants....the difference is huge.

Any "hemp" derived CBD is useless for me. Its like comparing the THC levels between the two....no comparison. The hemp derivatives are a total waste of money, imo. I've also vaped eliquid dosed with cbd oil, from both hemp and an indica/sativa hybrid marijuana plant. HUGE DIFFERENCE.

One is legit, one is useless.

Alleve aids my broken spine , somewhat. I no longer get scripts for that. Between my vaporizables and occasional Alleve I'm ok.

Thanks for your contributions to this thread and anyone else responding. It's an interesting topic/subject, imo.

alieve blocks cannabinoid production... it is a COX2 blocker. it is an arachidonic acid metabolite that gets blocked... cannabis increases the archidonic acid cascade via lypoxegynase LOX then COX ( cyclooxegynase)

Edit- cannabis is a broad term but more so the active phytocannabinoids in cannabis

My doctor refuses to prescribe medical MJ for me, although I meet 4 of NY State's criteria for it. I have access to it, though.

But there are times I need stronger pain relief...and I hate taking the Oxycodone my doctor insists on prescribing me. You can "put down" Alleve all you want, it beats opiates. (Unless you are an addict, which I will never be.)

(BTW, alleve does not block cannabinoid production. It might limit the human bodys ability to process cannabinoids properly. Don't "make up" facts, son.)

Cannabinoids are produced AND STORED IN MARIJUANA. The human body does not produce them, therefore it can't block "production."

I've been mixing cbd isolate into my avb and it's really potent for pain and sleep aid.

CBD isolate sold in a mJ dispensary will be excellent, because it is produced from marijuana. If its a legal form that is sold ONLINE it is a HEMP byproduct, and not very effective. I have a really bad back, I've tried everything there is @ one time or another. But ppl are individuals and YMMV.

omega fatty acids are what your bodies endocannabinoids are created from. they are termed endocannabinoids ( endogenously produced) ...EFA ( essential fatty acids) becomes PUFAS ( poly unstaruated fatty acids ) which are pre-curosrs to eicosinoids which in turn become endocannabinoids http://themodern.farm/studies/Omega-3 Deficiancy Abolish Endocannabinoid Function.pdf

there is no need for your anger here man... I am presenting facts or knowledge.

    endocannabinoid pathway https://duckduckgo.com/?q=endocannabinoid+pathway&t=ffcm&atb=v62-6__&ia=web

Edit- the reason cannabis is so medical is because of the phytocannabinoids created in the glandular resin of the trichome. the plant cannabinoids act as bio-mimetic analogue structures to endogenously synthesized endocannabinoids. phytocannabinoids are Bio-mimicry agents that metabolize into cannabinoid receptors located on the cell membrane

I smoked cigarettes 46 years, dude. I don't consider occasional Alleve use harmful, neither do my doctors.

Am I to believe an anonymous internet source over what works for me? Over my doctors opinion?

    Thats why I got pissed.

NP... we are all in this together and need one another to survive this life man... please take a few moments and check my references... I wish I could go back again and piece it all together and get to my conclusions... that is always the funnest part of the discovery... except for sharing it with others so that they may discover themselves... Peace

Ok, so it's true that cannabis plants have more goodies than hemp plant . However, an extract of a compound will be the same, what changes is the amount of plant required to reach the same amount of isolate.

the solvents needed for extraction too- with hemp much more solvent is needed to extract the lesser available cannabinoids from a larger source of material...

cannabis grown for cannabinoid production require much less solvent to extract from a smaller amount of material

that's fucking weird, it should be the same molecule, so the exact same stuff

for CBD oils sold by dispensaries.. i guess they'd be based off strains like AC/DC, sour tsunami, harlequin etc, so the effects would be different, they could have a bit more THC

Another thing to consider is that your avb still has a range or chemicals in it compared to an isolate that has essentially 1 chemical. There are cbd concentrates that have a fuller range of chemicals, but I have no personal experience with them. I find amazing results mixing my avb and cbd isolate derived from hemp. By itself the isolate has a decent effect, and by itself my avb has a decent effect, but both are rather weak. I have to do a few larger bowls of either to feel it. One medium to large combo bowl and I'm good.

Relaxing to some avb right now, but I didn't put isolate in it. It took 3 large bowls to bring me to where I wanted to be. Now I'm feeling relaxed through my body and I can do some dishes and clean after work. Ciao.

Hemp CBD isolate VS cannabis CBD isolate: same molecule and same effects.

Legally in US: hemp CBD isolate is legal while cannabis CBD is not legal.

Of course one needs to make sure both types are clean/pure with no residual chems.
CBD isolate derived from hemp plants grown on the Russian nuclear spill site = not good :)

Full spectrum products are much better but one can adapt. You can add CBD isolate to the "normal"
high THC/ low CBD flowers for a great hybrid.

    From an article:
"No matter what, or how, politicians bicker, the truth is that there is an objective reality. We have chemistry, molecular scientists, and international cannabinoid researchers agreeing and have a consensus that the CBD molecule is CBD… is CBD!"
    From hemp or from cannabis.

I seem to require a larger edible dose than many. Like when I make firecrackers from fresh, decarbed buds, I'll usually end up eating 3-4 grams worth of bud in the firecrackers to get a nice high. That's why I don't do edibles very often. It's costly.

all of the terpenes in " medical" strains too will provide a different metabolic profile than field hemp CBD with low to no terpene profiles to smell. this all relies of course on if terpenes were captured while producing the concentrates... I guess isolate is nothing but cbd with no terp profile whatsoever while an oil would have terps in there... some are adding terps back into the cbd product to add more metabolism...

you liver must not do well @ converting delta 9 over to 11 hydroxy... have you tried to eliminate first pass metabolism?
basically. eat a meal and then consume your cannabis edible up to 45 minutes after your meal. first pass takes up liver processing time for up to 45 minutes after the meal. @ this time you can eat your cannabis edible and by pass first pass and possibly allowing more effects to be realized. researching this I realized that everyone eating sweets for desert sooner than the 45 minutes after mealtime are not metabolizing all that sugar which may not be healthy...

lots of times people too eat their edible and then will not have effects until they consume another high fatty meal activating metabolism that way... even Sugar can serve this metabolism activation too but fat is better etc

I found this recipe here, and modified it, it works for my mild arthritis and also for other people which had more severe cases, Its magical dark gold, works for painful itchy insect stings too and also for bruises and muscle pain, swelling.

So you take your good old pressure cooker, you take a jar, or some kind of borosilicate jar, it does not mind, fill it with abv and fill it with grinded high CBD legal often extra seedy bud, coconut oil. then put a lid on it but dont screw it at all, put a piece of aluminum foil on it so it will cover the jar from splashing water. Fill the pressure cooker to 1/4 of the jar lenght and let it reach the pressure, it will take some time but once the gauge start making noises, put it on the low/simmer and pressure cook for 45 mins. No need for decarb and you get it extracted all very well
    Great medicine:science:
extra tip mix in another hemp rich in other cannabinoid like CBG for example

That's the conclusion I'd come to.

Though, I did have a bit of those new water-soluble cannabinoids squirted in my beer once (a couple months ago), and that shit worked just fine, with a MUCH FASTER onset. I felt in in something like 15 minutes. I'd love to get my hands on more of that.

However they figured out to do it, I imagine it's a chemical process that takes many steps and equipment, so an average person would not be able to make water soluble cannbanoid powders or solutions at home.
