Help me pick a strain

My friend lives in Seattle and has access to high quality bud at significantly lower prices than I pay. He'll be driving here in the near future, and has offered to bring some back for me. My options are as follows:

sour diesel, orange crush, white widow, and "purp" (I assume he was referring to purple kush, but not sure)

I normally don't have access to anything of this quality. What strain vapes best, in your opinion?

I've only seen the White Widow here from the choices offered, but that one vapes nicely. Ime it's not just the strain though, even different harvests (or growers) from the same strain can affect how the bud vapes.

You should look at the THC/CBN ratio too btw, before you pick a strain. Why not try a little of everything, or isn't that an option?

Sour D is one of my fav's, a great uplifting sativa with a pungent sour/earthy taste. Purps probably means the Mendo Purps, related to Purple Erkel and Granddaddy Purps, but not related to Purple Kush. It has a lovely candy grapey "purple" flavor, and is a heavy indica, good for pain relief and insomnia. Orange Crush is another awesome sativa, light green color, bright orange hairs, and the lovely smell/taste of citrus. White Widow is okay, but overated IMO.

...it's prudent to identify whether it's indica, sativa, or hybrid you desire... once you solidify that your choices get easier...

From my experience, all the purps just don't do it for me. They seem to be weaker on par with other strains. Sour Diesel, while it works well, I just can't get by the smell and taste. Just don't like that smell and taste, but like everything else, it's all subjective. White Widow, on the other hand, is one of the most visually psychedelic strains I have ever vaped. No experience with orange crush.

Killimanjaro (Super Skunk x Big Skunk Korean x Big Bud x Afghani Hawaiian) is my current fav and has been for a few years now with an occasional change-up to White Widow when wanting something a bit different.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far. I'll probably end up choosing a couple of strains instead of just one. The reason why I don't want to get a huge variety is because I won't have the opportunity to get more, and I see myself trying them and then saying "why the fuck didn't I get more White Widow, this Orange Crush sucks!" or something to that effect.

Ok, in that case I would stick to tried and tested strains. Just get the Sour D and the White Widow. Both well established strains. Purple strains are hit and miss imo. 'Orange crush was found to be an extremely vigorous hybrid of blueberry dominance' - I personally don't like Blueberry strains too much - I find the taste a bit too sweet and sickly but you might

My picks would be Sour Diesel if you are looking for a excellent, uplifting sativa. If you are more of a indica fan go for the purp, especially if it is purple kush, it is an amazing super couch locking strain if grown right.

Sour D was a nice heady and nice tasting (one of my favs) The white widow was a little *too* heady for my tastes. I usually had to mix that one with another strain or I got all weird. The indicas (purp) are nice on occasion, but Im more of a 50/50ish fan.

White Widow is by far my favorite of all time. it's a 60/40 sat/indic hybrid. tastes and smells delicious with an amazing high

I'm with Elluzion, I like the feel of hybrids lots. White Widow is one of my faves.

However, I enjoy the taste of the Sour D wayyyy more. Sour D is delicious.

Hrmm...Orange crush is also nice and fruity....

PURPS? purps are very awesome and musky ....

Actually... now that I think about it, the sampler pack is a good idea.

You can't just go off a name to choose your herb. My advice would be to trust his opinion. He can see it. He can smell it. Just tell him to get you what looks and smells best/cleanest. Prime specimens of any of those strains are great to vape. Sour D can taste a little funny, but you get used to it and start to like it.

I tried "Sour D" for the first time not to long ago, I loved it! It tasted like a combination of Grand Marnier and Sterno

out of those I would pick Orange crush but that's just because I'm a citrus strain lover. The other option I would pick would be sour diesel.

Sour Diesel is usually pretty good..but the purps would probably give you the best flavor.

White Widow is amazing, but purple kush has better flavor IMO. I would rather white widow over purple kush, but purple kush was a nice hazy high for me.
