Discontinued Haze Square

Sweet! We're free!!!!

I'd like to chime in and say I've really enjoyed testing this one. I'm happy to answer any questions, but my experience is limited to beating on the beta unit, so I can't speak to final production performance except that it should be better than the beta.

Real quick...it's got a solid build and weight to it. Fits in the hand and those four bowls will take me far! It's a little thick for front pockets...if fits, but you know it's there.

The spinning bowl mechanism is great...swap out a bowl in less than a second.

It heats up fast, especially on all but the first draw. So the first hit might need 10 or so seconds to heat up, but after that it's within a couple of seconds during a session.

The USB-C charging is blazing fast. I'm not sure how we did in final battery life testing, but the Pro version charges so quickly I didn't care. It's easily the fastest charging vape that's come across my desk.

Stowaway mouthpiece like the original Dual. Control scheme is completely customizable through an app. The windows version I used was great...allowed me to pick my 5 temps, the color of the light, and even name the control scheme. Here's how I set mine up:

But how does it vape? This was where I was mostly focused during testing, and they are still tweaking the settings, so I expect that to get even better. But clouds were never a problem. If anything I kept asking them to turn it down a little while we were searching for the right settings. A lot of the convection vapes I test are too hot, but still have problems fully extracting. Not here. The Square starts pumping out vapor from the get go and was always cool enough for me, and the bowls get fully spent. I should mention I tested almost exclusively with flower and only got going with extracts a couple of times.
HI Sticks - how did your AVB look? Any need for stirring at all? Any char or real dark bits or green bits?

Thanks

P.S. - ooops, I see where a couple of other beta testers commented lightly on AVB being pretty even. But it you can, I would love to hear your experience with it. Thanks

Ah man. Think I'm gonna pre-order now.

Have owned a FF2 (for flavor) and a Hopper (for quick stealth.) Hoping this can replace both of them. Sounds like it could.

As it's full convection, will I be able to simply take a quick hit and just shut it right down? Come back to it at another time?

I won't speak to taste or stirring yet, because one of the challenges of my unit was consistency with both those and we played with tons of stuff, including multiple coils. The production units you guys get will be better than my unit, for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing how much improved the production units are than what I have now. The beta got better and better, so I know they are always improving and none of us have the final product, I think. I know I don't.

And that's a testament to a well run beta program. I can't tell you how many times I'm asked to 'beta' something when really it's about to roll off the line...so really I'm just reviewing it and none of my feedback will make it into production. Not so here. Haze ran what might be the best beta program I've been a part of. I had the unit for months and went through multiple coils and firmwares, and I got to beat the shit out of it. That's one of the reasons I'm confident it will be well received...they had a lot of time to get feedback from a lot of good vaporists. Well done, Haze!

Thats my kind of combo!

So after reading this from stickstones:

I'm wondering, what most of the beta testers think about the need of stirring? Is it needed? Do you need to use any kind of special technique to avoid it? In the video we saw from @Haze Vaporizers it seemed to doesnt matter if you pack more or less, you will still get even ABV. Is that true?

Sorry, but sometimes I think this vape sounds too good to be true!!

Here is what I can say....

I have tried different load sizes, grind consistencies, temps, firmware versions, strains, levels of cureness, and draw speeds. These elements are factors with any convection vaporizer. With the Square I have had some top shelf sessions as well as some imperfect ones including combustion and charring. Right now I'm passed all the charring ECT but I'm still dialing in the temps and firmware I like. No recent issues with uneven ABV either. So in short yes it's all possible.

was like at least an hour of the Square. And everyone kept asking him to pull out another vape to compare vapor quality too in the same lighting.
