Hashy tasting concentrate ?

Which extraction method would you use to get the concentrate to taste hashy instead of tasting like the smell of the flowers?
I have had amber oil that tastes just like regular hash. It was made from flowers.
I like that best. Don't care if it's dark or not.

Yes, besides what elmo said, if you're more lazy or cheap, short of buying / making ice hash, you can probably press some kief into rosin also, and it should have a more "hashy" taste?

I'm not a rosin guy, but a friend of mine who started butane extracting a couple years ago told me he tried some kief blasts, and got some pretty potent, kinda-hashy-tasting yields, but I'm not sure if that's the level of gear you want to get into?

As for strains, they have "hash plant" "hash berry" and a few other related off-shoots. Famous for their hashy taste...I haven't tried these myself but I have seen them around occasionally. Might be worth obtaining for your goals?

Hint, try freeze drying the kief before you make your rosin from it.

Don't have a rosin press, but as I understand it, the dryer the better.

In lieu of that, my best brownies had 5-15G of kief added to what was already present in oil extracted with at least 2 oz of quality bud... wish I could make 'em NOW.

my understanding is that with kief or bubble hash, you want it DRY.

Why freeze it before pressing with heat? Or is it just an experimental suggestion? I haven't made rosin, but know a little about it.

Dry is one thing freeze dried another one. For sure RH is less then 30%. DonÄt know whether this makes sense with kief. if you intend to make a kind of hash its worth a go for sure after making buuble hash.

this recommendation came from a manufacturer who gets a LOT of Live Resin/Rosin and sauce, and their aside to me was that for a great rosin, take bubble hash, freeze dry it and get incredible rosin.

personally, I'd rather COOK with the kief :)

Thanks but there still is the question why hash is working better for rosin when dried as possible while flowers are working best at 55-65% RH? Does that make sense?

I'll ask, but there is a rather large difference in the density of material and lack of plant matter, so I'm not sure the comparison holds.

Hash has been pre-processed so it really just uses the rosin method to filter it to a higher purity. Flower rosin has all that plant matter which buffers the load, and the melting trichomes must navigate through.
