i am wondering why you need a M to M gong bowl?

this was the best i could come up with to get you there cheaply:

then you get the adaptor:

put a ti screen in the bottom and voila! you got a 14mm M to M bowl!!!!

I heat it up for aroung 100 seconds. This will vary with the torch you use. You shouldn't keep a flame on the vape while hitting it. The way its made to be hit is to heat it up , then take a hit. If you brought it up to the correct temp you should get some major cloud action happening.

okay, tried ^^... and i used .2 in the 14mm bowl. heated it for 120 seconds. took a hit, and i filled my little waterpipe (Hoss mini circ) with vapor - tastes great no complaints! then i tried the second hit, couldn't fill the h20 pipe with vapor but still got some action. third hit was a waste of breath - no action.

my vape has colour changing marks on it to tell you when its hot, exactly like the marks on these glass hot knives:

after my first draw the marks go from red to yellow. am i expecting too much vapor from this device? are our defintions of "major cloud action" different? my only other experience with vaporizers is with the iolite. if you could compare the glass vape, and iolites "clouds", that would be helpful.

i bought my glass vape through fullmeltglass.com.

thanks for the heads up, i have watched that video and tried to emulate his technique but the video is incomplete. what happens after the third hit? is it time to stir, or reheat, or repack - what does the abv look like? that video shows you how to get started vaping with the glass vape, but it doesn't show you everything you need to know in order to become a JEDI Glass Vaper! which is why i asking for additional input.

I'm glad to see GVH keeps improving it. Mine doesn't have color changing marks on it. I usually go by time, color and the feel of the heat given off by the glass. After a while you kind of get a feel for it.

My first GV (the one pictured in this thread) cracked on the second donut (the inner one) after a couple months of heavy use. GVH sent me a one donut design that worked a lot better with the torch i used with it (blazer GB2001) and that's the one I use now. I haven't had an issue with it so far but I certainly don't use it anymore as a daily driver. Like the VHW (which I also own) this vape requires special care and being glass it is fragile. But once in a while it nice to take out and have a go.

I'm not sure at what temperature the color changing marks turn but it might be a bit lower then "cloud" temperature. Like the VHW these vapes are better for low temp extraction , pushing the temperature up greatly lowers the lifetime of the vape.

In any event, taste wise it's got little competition. I recommend it to anyone who likes playing with fire and for people with a highly tuned vapor palate.

While I don't own an Iolite I would imagine the GV not being fixed temp would be able to produce larger "clouds".

i think this is great advice. not using it as a daily driver is also sound advice.

this is not sound advice:

I'm not sure if it's from the same maker or not, but I recently became interested in these type of vapes and came across this vid on youtube, figured I'd share:

I think so. I emailed the dude in the youtube video no reply so I'd assume that it his product. Hope this helps. Would pull the trigger on this bad boy but just dropped all my cash on the cloud.
