Well correct me if i'm wrong..BUT in the vid he said BOTH 3 day and 30 days when it comes to warranty. My guess it's going to be 30 day..never heard anywere warranty that only last for 3 days...well actually here in Thailand 3 days warranty is a GOOD one ;-)..buy cheap here and you know it will break just by transporting it home..I'll give him the benefit of doubt..at least for now.

He might have been referring the the 3 days he is giving people .. personally he said if you try it and don't like it within a 3 day period he will buy it back from you considering it is still in a like new condition and you give him a heads up ...

30 day warranty seems a little short for such an expensive vape. S &B is 2 year... Boundless is 3 years... Vivant one year... All these with a smaller price tag . Think ghost should extended the warranty but if people are happy spending 300 bucks for 30 days of peace of mind that's up to them...

Vape critic lost my respect. This review is not a review. It's a sale. He's trying to sell the product. Not review it. He does not appear to be impartial at all. There are a lot of unknowns with this vape. Makes me uncomfortable to even spend money on it. This buzzing noise? It going to blow up in my face? Why is vape critic the only one who got one to review? No beta testers? No other reviews or people who tested the product? I personally feel this thing is garbage without a leg to stand on. A company that has no reputation and a YouTube viewer who makes excuses for why we should buy the product is clearly getting a kick back for his video.

Warranty is also a joke. An extra battery at $60 is a joke. The fact their website launched only days before the thing goes on sale is sketchy.

What is their warranty?

IT IS YUGE!!! THE BEST ... EVER!!! IT'S TRUE!!!

I just visited the website and, while the whole appearance felt somewhat familiar, I suddenly realized where from. Maybe they should sell it in orange, too.

(Disclaimer: The more sensitive people may please forgive me but I am a) slightly medicated and b) was just laughing for 5 minutes or so. If you come up with such a shady advertising schemes in a stoner infested community prepare to be laughed at ... hard)

Sorry, but parts of this post are completely unfounded. Of course you may view it as you wish...and view Bud the way you wish but:

There are a lot of unknowns with this vape. Makes me uncomfortable to even spend money on it.

Which seems to me to be the way it is with any new and not yet released vape.

This buzzing noise? It going to blow up in my face?

That is simply ridiculous....and a bit breathless, don't you think? I see you have been on the board a while....surly you have read discussions about high pitched electronic noise from PWM power management in a wide number of modern vapes...as in pretty much any vape that uses digital power management.

Why is vape critic the only one who got one to review? No beta testers? No other reviews or people who tested the product?

Uh, because he has an initial exclusive in return for putting effort into its requirements and testing, perhaps? Seems like a decent business practice to me.

I suggested that they need a beta test team because I agree with you that there is no substitute for real field operational testing by real users. But I note that a number of vapes do not use beta teams.

I personally feel this thing is garbage without a leg to stand on.

Well, you are entitled to whatever emotional state you wish to be in (i.e. I personally feel)
but your feelings don't equal facts and so far NONE of use have any facts upon which to make a rational determination as to whether this vape is great or "garbage"

why we should buy the product is clearly getting a kick back for his video.

Wow, I don't know how he could have been any more clear about his referral deal and his financial arrangements with Ghost. As far as I know, every reviewer in the vape world has a conflict of interest as every reviewer in the vape world that I am aware of has some sort of referral fee (or at the very least receive free product) or there wouldn't be any professional reviews. This ain't Siskel and Ebert paid by the networks. Yes, I would love for good professional reviews where the review gets their compensation completely unrelated to the reviewed product/company....but that does not exist today in our strange legal/illegal environment.

Yes, there is a lot of over the top hype here....and as usual, a lot of over the top pessimism and criticism.

Sorry, mate....but this was my honest reaction to your post.

Cheers

@Baron23 Hey did Bud mention anything about if there is a warranty included with the Ghost? Not seeing any information about it on their website and am starting to wonder if they even offer anything in that regards? (I see the words warranty in their terms of service but nothing about the details of said warranty.)

Warranty info is still being finalized. Certainly will be finalized prior to the real order process being opened.

I don't know what the warranty will be....have no idea where "30 days" came from (saw that somewhere above) but warranty details have not yet been released.

Right now, you can put in your email to get on the list for shipping, but will have to do an actual order when stock is ready before completing the transaction. As far as I can tell, there is no binding obligation to follow through on the purchase.

So, you will have an opportunity to evaluate warranty coverage before actually buying.

What Bud is offering, out of his pocket, is a 3 day right of rescission. If bought with his referral link (see his forum for that), within three days, if you don't want it and it can be sent to him in near new condition, he will buy it from you. Nothing to do with Ghost's warranty.

Hope this is helpful.

I agree that the relentless pessimism regarding the quality of the vape is unwarranted.

In my **opinion,** the cloud exhale video recently released by VC is actually super impressive.

I'll explain why...the clouds have the "blue," thin but POTENT quality that comes out of Herbalizers and a precious few other pure convection vaporizers.

The lotus comes to mind, as well...

These types of vapes are often too strong for me, as the pure convection high sticks around in my brain for HOURS after I last vaped.

But the clouds look very impressive to me...

That said, the concern regarding overpriced accessories and conflicts of interest are entirely warranted.

I'm sorry to say this, but I simply don't believe that VC has no financial stake in this product beyond the referral fees.

VaporizerWizard has referral links as well, and those make him some money--but remember that VC happily admitted to taking part in the R&D at Ghost that led to the MV-1, and his willingness to "buy back" vaporizers after 3 days makes it clear that he is acting, in this case, as a Ghost representative of sorts.

I would guess that he has a real stake in the company, or some type of salary related to his participation in the R&D and then marketing process. This is admittedly a guess, I have no special knowledge here.

But it's pretty damn obvious.

I'm probably less upset than others about his stake in the company and the blatant favoritism (he gave the MV-1 an A to A+ rating for everything on his ratings chart, which no other vape has), because I respect anyone looking to expand their brand and earning potential.

However, I would be far more respectful and on his "side," so to speak, if he was simply open about his close involvement/stake in the success of the Ghost MV-1 sales.

Something like: "I'll admit it, guys, I am a brand ambassador and R&D specialist working on a consultancy basis with Ghost MV-1. However, this IS a great vape, I wouldn't be involved if it were mediocre. Here is my review, which I will do my best to make as unbiased as possible."

My point is: this could very well be a great vape. It's not for me, because it's 300 freaking dollars, has a vaguely worded warranty, and accessory prices that would make even the Silicon Valley guys behind the overpriced (IMO) Firefly squirm.

But the vapor production looks fantastic, and if they develop a power adapter that can run it as a desktop unit, I'm sure it can succeed. Shit, if they get it into enough headshops, it WILL succeed...look at the Titan II. Or the Pinnacle Pro/Vaporblunt. There are still headshops around me that push that stuff hard.

At the same time, the vaporizer community has been bamboozled lots and lots of times. In fact, most of us started out by being tricked into buying shitty vapes. I bought the "3 in 1 Atmos vaporizer" for 29.99 on GroupOn. Suffice to say: it sucked.

So we're skeptical. Can you blame us?

This community will flip hard on the criticism if the vape is good. Look at Boundless...started out hated, now widely adored for swift customer service and fun livestreams.

You gotta prove it with FC :)

I hope this works out well for bud, but this is a very different trip he wants to take us on. I can't help but think that he may become a victim of this partnership as much as anybody else. In other words this had better end up being a great fucking vaporizer, or it could end up sinking bud's reviewer credibility.

But it's pretty damn obvious.

No it isn't...its pure speculation which may or may not be true and neither of us knows which.

Just saying...yeah, I think the accessory prices way too high.

Just saying....if you don't like Bud's reviews or think they are bias....just wait a few months and you will have field reports from owners and can determine your level of interest them. Right?

vaguely worded warranty

Where did you see any wording on the warranty?

So we're skeptical. Can you blame us?

No, I don't....but I don't think it was skepticism that I respond to in my reply to ginolicious. It was some bold and outright statements which were just not supported, IMO.

Cheers

Everything is speculation with this device. There is barely next to no information on this.

Personally I don't care. I'll never buy it. Not my cup of tea. But I know baron really wants one. And based on his statements of ripping everything apart we know where he stands.

IMO - add that and get away with anything.

Cheers mate

As someone who doesn't know who vapecritic or bud are (and doesn't care) I appreciate your posts. I've been pretty surprised by this thread, hopefully user reviews come out soon.

Why so much focus on The Vapecritic? If the Ghost turns out to be as good as Bud says I'm expecting some humble pie from few in this thread. But really it's about that vape not the critic.

sorry ya few posts of mine were OT! (and probably unnecessary for sure but o well)

I hope it's a nice device and that everyone who purchases one ends up happy but I just think the marketing (all aspects of it) is a bit shady.

Plenty of other threads on here are more about the politics behind it rather than the device itself so meh either way.

Cheers. I'll watch from the sidelines

This thing is gonna be a wallet killer.

MV1 Vaporizer: $295.00
Fast Charger: $59.95
Extra Battery: $59.95
3 Extra Crucibles + 3 Concentrate Pads: $19.95
3 Extra Glass Stems: $24.95

Total: $459.80

For me the Fast Charger and extra battery are required, and extra concentrate pads will quickly become a necessity as well, so at this point my projected starting cost for this vaporizer would be about $435 :whoa:
