Fury 2 or Mistvape Touch for microdosing?

    Hello All,

While I am still deciding on a suitable desktop vape for home use, I have realised that I would like a separate vaporizer for out-and-about duties.

Being the lightweight that I am, and wanting to use flower to relax and unwind, rather than get absolutely baked, I would like a unit that allows me to microdose.

The two vapes that have grabbed my attention are the Fury 2 and Mistvape Touch. I am having an incredibly difficult time deciding between the two!

The MVT seems like more of a microdose specialist, but may require nailing down a technique. They also are only sold from the US, and being UK-based I would rather not have to wait a few weeks for delivery.

The Fury 2 seems to get rave reviews all around for it's surprising quality given the small size. I do worry, however, that due to being a session vape it may not be quite as effective for microdosing.

Would love to hear the thoughts of others to help settle this!

I haven't used a MVT. I find my Fury 2 to be useful and flexible but without a glass accessory taking up space in the chamber it likes to be at least half full to get good clouds and then I feel obliged to vape that whole amount in short order.

You might enjoy the Fury 2 dosing capsules. They don't produce the kind of clouds I prefer and that could be a feature rather than a bug for someone with your needs.

With the bent glass stem or wpa the Fury 2 is super efficient but those added pieces aren't very convenient for using on the go.

I don't think the MVT requires any technique. I prefer batteries which are changeable rather than having to wait to charge as I do with the Fury. But, the dosing capsules that are available for the Fury 2 now are great for microdosing. They work with the the standard mp without needing an additional mp. You can turn the Fury 2 off after a couple of inhales and turn on again later without adding more herb. I can't remember if you can do that with the capsules though- because of the small amount of herb and can't check since I have everything I own packed- except the fury with an 18mm screen and a vapcap.

Thank you for the reply. It seems that the dosing capsules for the Fury could be the way to go. Do you happen to know the approximate amount of herb that gets used in the capsule? It's frustrating that Vaposhop, the vendor here in Europe, is currently out of stock.

Do you prefer the Fury over the MVT?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Really tempted to pull the trigger on the Fury 2, but I don't want to make the wrong call. It does seem that microdosing capsules would be great for my needs, but it's unfortunate that Vaposhop don't have them in stock at the moment.

If it matters to you, the MVT (and newly updated MVT2) are hand-made by one guy who needs support from our community to keep producing them. If you really like it, consider that they may not be around later if too many people who want them wait too long to buy them!

That said, I also hear a lot of good things about the Fury 2, and if you need the extra stealth and can deal with the small-ish built-in battery and other possible drawbacks, it may still be the right choice for you right now. :)

    Just found this thread...
I'm very much in the same situation, smallest chamber setting on the OmniVap. When I want more I go again.

I know. I'm really tempted. It's in my shopping cart at VapoShop but I have the same concerns as you. Plus, when you add in the mouthpiece cover, the glass adaptor, the capsules and the spare screens and o-rings (out of stock), it gets close to 200 of your US Dollars....and I already have a DaVinci Ascent for sessions.....

I know these vapes are not on your list but I think dynavap vapcaps are excellent for micro dosers. I have the Fury 2 that I think is excellent in every way but I have not tried it for micro dose usage, but from what others have said it sounds good too.

    :peace:

Yup. I think stealth is the biggest selling point. Vapor production looks great too, but I don't really need it... I have my Ascent and my 'Caps . I don't need to have everything, do I?

What do you mean exactly when you say microdosing? Session vapes are not very good at microdosing. The Fury 2 is a session vape. It's a great vape but it's not so great for microdosing. I've never used the Mistvape Touch. It's an on-demand vape though so it should be better at microdosing than the Fury 2.

    Happy vaping! :)

Good question, and nobody really seems to agree on a definition.....but here goes.
I don't medicate for pain (although the standard aches and pains of late middle-age evaporate when I vape).
I used to get insanely high on the smallest VapCap setting (calculated by @Squiby at approx. 0.03g) - now my tolerance has risen a bit and, depending on the weed, I get nicely buzzed for about an hour on that amount.
I teach, so I never vape before or during work, nor if I have to drive in the next (say) 4 hours...but when I get home I love to relax and that 0.03 watching the sunset beats martinis any day (I don't drink anymore ).
If I'm honest, I love to wake and vake but I only get to do that very occasionally. Most evenings I'll hit the VapCap twice, maybe 3 times so, to answer your question, I consider 0.1g/day microdosing :leaf:

Exactly the same here. I set my Omni to approx. 0.03g as well (used a scale) and got insanely high at the beginning. Well, I still get high. But now t's a milder and shorter buzz. Very enjoyable. :)
Oh wow, is this me? I use about 0.1g a day too. Compared to what I used when I smoked it's definitely microdosing. Compared to some users in this thread it's not. Anyway with a good on-demand vaporizer like the Vapcap, Sticky Brick, Milaana, Vapman or E-Nano 0.1g lasts surprisingly long.

Back to OP: You could also mix cbd herbs in your weed to not get absolutely baked. Softens the high.

Just saw your in the UK... Yay another one of us ;)

Don't know if your aware but there are a few really good vape shops in the UK. My favourite is the thehedonistclub.co.uk, limited stock but exceptional knowledge and above and beyond customer service! I've also used Namastevaporizer.co.uk and vapefiend.co.uk.

You should check out what they have :)

I too tend to microdose, although with medical motivation-
I have the MVT2, and while I could recommend that, I also think that the dynavap, Lotus, FW5 and vapman are worth considering as well.
I also recommend this to people looking for things that hit hard-I have found that I can be very efficient with these and get Tailored hits. The vapman and lotus seem to excel when loaded lightly. I haven't worked with the firewood 5 enough yet to really see where it shines, but I have full confidence in Marc's customer service and products.
