thats how my friends are with my vaporgenie. But it sucks because they kill the whole bowl in one hit. But most of them are lazy as shit and don't want to even put the time into vaping. They will hit my VG once and awhile but thats about it.

i bought a vg classic for someone hoping to expand their horizons and when i saw how they hit it, well it was a joke. might as well just use a packed one hitter. i tried to explain before they hit it again and even while they were hitting it...they gave me the "im done hearing your shit man" look so i quit, waved and flew to the moon.

Everyone hated my iolite but I've yet to find one smoker who didn't love the supreme vape cranked up in a bong.

From the get go you can hit it pretty perfectly at a higher temp, much less learning curve than other vapes while still retaining flavor and quality that bags lack

probably similar to how I vape out of my DBV. I crank it all the way up so all I have to tell a new user is "hit is as hard as you can" that way there is no learning curve and they can get fat huge vape rips and really let them know what vaping is all about. All of my portable devices have such a learning curve(well not for me I seem to have got mine right away, except the MFLB but that worked its way in) that most of them don't want to put in the time to listen enough to get the same experience like the home vape out of my portables. But oh well to each his own I say.

Oh yeah , with out a doubt. You get such a higher concentration of actives with vaping vs smoking. It gets you sky high but we're just use to it, and another factor is how clean the high is. I take 3-5 huge vaporbong rips a session with DBV to get where I wanna be and my daily toker friends can only take 1 hit and there soo high! It most definitely highers your tolerance but I'd say in a good way, unless you just take it too far and vape way to much, then its counter productive and you're just putting strain on your body.

nearly all my friends dislike vapor compared to smoking, and i think they're all nuts haha. there are a couple who have a slight interest in it, but mostly they stick to the humble glass pipes and j papers. i used to dislike vapor as well before i got my launch box, but it does take a little time to adjust and i don't think they feel that time is worth investing in, they just wanna get high haha

There's definitely specific personal attributes and preferences that make you more likely to enjoy vaping. Being concerned for your health is an example of a very significant factor I think for a lot of vaporists.

For me the biggest thing has been my propensity to geek out over technical stuff like this. I love how every vaporizer is different in so many ways, each one a shiny new toy to play with. If certain family members were to find out how much I use they might think I was addicted to cannabis but truthfully my addiction to new vaporizers is far more dangerous :p

    today such a situation again...
was smoking a joint woth a friend, after talking about creating our own stonernation somehow the topic fell on vaporizing, he said things like 'the plant wants to be burned' and that you don't vape all the stuff but that you need the complete profile
simply said, he was bitching on vaporizing in all kinds of ways, while I defended my stance that vaporiing is awesome
then after a while of discussing I asked how many times he actually tried a vaporizer, I assumed he had at least once since they have a volcano free to use in the coffeeshop he visits most often

turned out, he hasn't even tried it once...
    so my reply:
'don't knock it untill you tried it-unless it's heroin, or crack, or meth' (the first part I actually said in english)

know anyone who hates vapes? (merged)

So i have owned many vapes, easy vapes, mflb, and my daily driver the DBV. My room mates have been using my vape for over a year now and I have never had any real complaints, finally I got one, a friend of mine who is a bong lover decieded that he dose not like vaping in general and the high it gives him impairs him to much. Is he being a little bitch or are there really ppl out there who hate vaping (with good vapes like ssv or numbers of other highend vapes).

some stuff releases at higher temps, and balances out the high. also there's strain, mindset, and other things to think about. but yea, i'd say he's a little b.

i remember reading a cancer patient found vaporizing to be useless for his cancer pain or not as effective. don't remember.

It's truly all about personal preference and many people still enjoy smoking much more. However, it is unfortunate that he isn't a fan of vaporizers as it would be beneficial to his health. Now vaping can be rather intense at times, but that's all part of the fun.

Yea, i have gotten some hate from smokers who dont give it much of a chance or only try it a couple of times and then decide they have a very firm opinion against it. the type of vaporizer really matters IMHO

Some of my get high friends feel that the type of high vaping gives is just too intense !They did like the lack of odor ; they could go right back in, and no one knew they
    were stoned by the smell.

same it really irks me when this happens. they will take a couple draws, hardly get any vapor because of incorrect technique(which usually doesn't even take long to develop anyways), complain how they aren't getting high, and straight up refuse any subsequent hits, its like come on, you bitch and moan about vapes not doing the trick for you, but you won't even take 5 minutes to learn how to use it correctly.

In CA, 99% of the those type of people are blunt smokers, IME. They listen to shitty techno-hip-hop and drive a 2000 dollar Civic with 3000 dollar wheels, bought on credit they can't pay back - at least that's what they tend to be like here, and they usually aren't worth getting to know.

I think people who don't smoke blunts or cigarettes are far more likely to become vapor converts, and that a powerful, user-friendly vape like the Solo greatly increases the chances of that happening. Using your vaporizer out of a nice waterpipe also greatly increases the allure and helps show off the merits of vaping. I think the best vapes for introducing people are either a good bag vape or a dense, heavy hitter, such as the Supreme or Solo.

But really, all of my good friends are vapor converts. It's a pretty obvious choice when you think about it - getting more out of less, having great flavor all the way through a bowl instead of 1/3 way through the first hit, having ABV to cook with or vaporize more later, and having a noticeably healthier respiratory system after a few months, which was my case. It's kind of like being introduced to good, microbrewed beer and then having the option to go back to goddamn Coors - only the really silly are going to do it, and then for the wrong reasons.

Most vapor newbies who don't take to it right away complain about not getting as high. But to complain the high's too intense? Most people are looking for more, not less. Have you suggested that they back off the amount they're vaping, for less intensity?

Since vaping generally takes more effort, and some don't like the hardware expense, it can be difficult to convince people to give it a good try. If you don't have some kind of motivation to switch, it can be a tough sell.

I just want to bump this thread to let everyone know that I changed both of the friends I was talking about. Ever since I got my Arizer Solo they have really started to open their eyes to vapor. We shall see how far they go. I already got one of them going out and buying the solo, bong, and a torch just so he can vape the oil through the bong lol.

I know a buncha guys that were skeptical about vaping and all I really had to do was show them the cloud video with the Mobius Ion w/ Matrix Perc.

Instead of being skeptical they started asking me where to get one!

I really think the ease of use with GonG pieces of the cloud (and hopefully many future vaporizers) will help convert lots of people.

Not to mention the huge rips!

I think bongs and other GonG water pipes are a great thing to have in this case. I have changed plenty of peoples minds with a bong and a Good heavy hitter! leave them coughing im sure they arent complaining haha. some people have to get used to the draw of the whip type vapes, but besides that i think you just need the right equipment, just like how us vaporists know which particular vapes we like and maybe which ones we dont like as much, smokers will be that way too. some smokers convert fully with just a MFLB with batteries! now that is a good thing to see!

Most people definitely don't 'get' vaporizing if they haven't before or haven't really made an effort to learn the technique.

Luckily my main smoking buddy doesn't usually care if we vape or do bowls, because he knows now how to get a good hit from the MFLB. However, I can tell some other friends are definitely not hitting it right the 1 or 2 times they've tried. However, most of these times my friends are also smoking in the same sesh.

I think to really come to appreciate vaporizing you need to either a) own a vape or b) sesh all the time with someone who has one and MAKES you learn it.

I'm pretty careful with new people and my MFLB too...don't want to combust in there so I keep an eye on 'em. Luckily most people draw too quick their first times and just end up getting a thin hit.

It totally depends on why they are blazing i find.

some people just want to get high, there people do not care about learning how to use it, health, flavour or for the cost of buying a unit to begin with. (but that`s an oz of weed!) lol so short sighted. but you can`t tell em otherwise

then there are the connoisseurs. People like the members here! We want to learn, and love the benefits that have come from taking the time to understand it.

2 camps as i see it.
