Yes, the only change is that the Pro has digital temperature control to my knowledge. However, for me that is a huge step. That's pretty huge for such a ridiculously affordable Vape.

Thanks, I was just making sure, because I was considering being cheap and getting the 5.0s and the low temp of 385 sounds like it would be fine for me since I usually vape at around 370-380 degrees with things like the solo/NO2. Plus with the short session time, I'm thinking I won't be messing with the temperature that much anyway.

@rekrab : the air intake is not fully isolated but honestly the vast majority comes directly from the exterior through the shell intake holes. I don't see it as a problem unless the batteries vent out or catch fire... Elivi8 managed to get an exclusive deal for their isolated path upgrade but I think the credits should go to @Egzoset for posting the idea in this thread! :p

Anyone got a suggestion on replacement screens?
Personally, i don't use the screen that comes with the flowermate (i have mini & v5.0 ), i used a domed screen (regular screens i use with the solo) on top of the herbs, which i would highly recommend if you want best vaping experience with no clogging whatsoever. i find the screens that come with the flowermate to easly clog up after a bowl or two.

BTW the mini v5.0s is really really good. Very stealthy, works as well as a 5.0s (i'm assuming since the mini has the 3 temp setting, and is more powerfull then the regular 5.0) Battery time is shorter obviously, but still goes through 3-4 fully loads quite well. given that it's micro USB, charging it is less of a problem, especially if you have a power-bank (as said prior here, do not use while charging). Would recommend, especially if it's as a secondary vape (especially if you are looking for a ridiculous small vape) but probably the Pro is still #1 flowermate product at the moment.

Hey fellow FCers,

Wanted to pass along something brother @OF recommended for use with the Arizer Air and found it is also very effective with the FM and the silicone mouth peice.

I appreciate the recommendation! Are these domed screens available from Arizer or do you purchase them elsewhere?

I'm glad to hear that you're also liking the 5.0s mini, there aren't too may of us out there with them and I like to see others of a similar opinion to myself.

I have been really hitting it hard with the Pro lately, I think that it would be a great vape at double the price.

Well I think I'll hold off on the goboof alpha and get the mini instead(for half the price)
Seems like a better deal, if it performs as well as the v5 pro

Are you fixed on the mini for its size or is it the price you're after?

I would recommend the Pro if I could only afford one. The digital temperature control is just so great and easy to use. Love it!

They are regular small screens that you get anywhere usually that i bent manually myself on the edges to fit in the Flowermates i use the ones that can be ordered on planetvape solo stems and have some from a local headshop. My buddy has the pro, and he;s also adapted this method with good success. Prior i would have to unscrew the stem regularly while in use so i can clear the airpaths on the metal part of the stem.

How practical is that on the go? I have adopted the Solo screen on top and bottom. Been doing that for a while. I will say, screen on top is not ideal to deal with on the go. It makes it a little more "finicky."

very practical for me at least. i use flowermate on the go almost exclusivly. i use the packing tool that comes with flowermate, specifically the hook, to basically push one side of the screen in, while other will pop out of the chamber, so u can grab that side of the screen with your fingers. i also place the screen with my finger (or use packing tool, the 'packing' side of the tool).

I dont use mine on the go as much. At home, screen tricks do pretty well tho.

Mini! Just arrived, charging up, will report back after burnoffs and first bowl(s). Been using an MFLB as my only device all year, would like to get medicated w/ a little less work and fewer draws...

first impressions of Mini: very happy, MFLB replaced. Great size, solid feel, quick heat up, EASY, efficient.

everything I know is from the MFLB. Loaded the Mini w/ a light trench's-worth of fine grind. 10 very satisfying draws on Blue, 4 on Purple, 6 on Red. Very uniform, rich brown ABV. Strong effects, I'm thinking a bit courser grind, a little tamping down, and I'll be able to pre-pack 2 sessions' worth. This is close to double my experience w/ the MFLB, these're very early impressions, but I'm happy.

got it from the uk ebay seller (100% feedback so I took a chance), 6 days to arrive including weekend, I paid the same as a 420 deal for a Pro, and could've paid even less w/ patience, but this really suits my use.

hippogriff,
I've been using both my v5Pro and v5Mini to great satisfaction for the past week. I had been using a v5.0 since last August, but now I have variable temp on the Pro which gives outstanding flavor at about 350F. The mini's lowest temp setting is 385F, but the ceramic bowl holds just as much as the Pro, and there is plenty of flavor to be had at that temp. I agree with @hippogriff that it is making me put my MFLB down. I haven't used it at all now that I'm rotating the Mini and the Pro. It took several days of burn-off for the weird smell to go away - whether plastic or tape smells - whatever. I think a medium grind is best with light tamping rather than squeezing it all down into a plug. But either way works. The mouthpieces for the Pro and the Mini are just slightly different but the threading is the same and they are interchangeable. I got mine from an Alibaba company in Shenzen, but am sworn to secrecy ;-)

I'm almost ready to place my order and I'm wondering if I should save the $20 and get the v5-0s over the pro version.

This will be my first vaporizer so I don't know if it will make a difference.

If you want to experiment with the difference between high and low temperatures get the pro. If you do not really care and just wanna get high on a budget get the cheaper one. That's been my dilemma as well.
