Eye floaters

Yeah, sometimes floaters are bits of your retina floating in the vitreous, other times it may just be "crap" floating around along the surface of your eye. Definitely get it checked out if you have a lot or have suffered some head/eye trauma.

Yeah, it's pretty normal. I had it bad for awhile. Really noticeable when looking at a white background but they seemed to have settled onto the bottom of my eye so I don't see them anymore. Having them settle like this is also very common.

I don't think I'm going to be standing on my head anytime soon simply because I'd rather not see those floaters again.

when i've seen them, they looked like i was seeing the veins in my eyes... especially after a large hit where you're holding it in and feel elevation in blood pressure.

I've had them for years. There used to be a cartoon, when I was a kid, where they would have a song and you would follow the bouncing ball to sing along. I think Lawrence Welk did it too... :myday: (@lwien I'm sure you remember :p). For me; reading is like following the bouncing balls.

I go to the eye doctor regularly; an ophthalmologist not just your cheapo eye exam. He says I have healthy eyes.

Yeah, I just had a full on eye exam too.....ophthalmologist. Dilated my eyes. She said, just look into the light. Fuck..........that light was bright. Anyway, she said my eyes were in great shape. I told her about the floaters...........she responded back, "Yeah, I saw 'em." Didn't seem concerned at all.

She said ya got early stages of cataracts though. Very early. "I was like................WHAT? CATARACTS !!! WHAT THE FUCK !!!!. She just laughed a bit and said, "Hey, most all of us is gonna get 'em. Just part of the aging process. Easy fix when it gets bad." I asked, "So how long before I need the surgery?" with a real concerned look on my face. She replied, "You got about 6 months to a year". She must have seen all the blood drain from my face and took pity on me and said............."Just kiddin'"

I like my ophthalmologist.

I do.

I had a sudden occurrence of a number that was notable enough to go see an eye Dr, who sent me onto a specialist. They found nothing abnormal. Eye floaters are pretty common.

In my case though, it turned out to be one of the multitude of symptoms that accompany Lyme.

Yeah thats all well and good until they can't fix your eye any more. TRUST ME. I am partially blind in my right eye from laser opthalmic surgery to have my retina reattached. After that I had to have a vitrectomy. There is NO routine eye surgery. The eye is a delicate structure. Do not disturb it more than necessary.

Now, after having said that, its fairly routine for folks to offset vision changes with cataracts lens changes. I had hoped to do this myself as I was about 20/850 and getting worse each year. Problem was my eyeball is oddly shaped and my retina detached. They lazed it back on but fried so many nerves in the process that now the central vision in that eye is GONE!!!

Heh, well..................I have no access to a doctor where I live ( Northern Ontario ). I am on a waiting list for one. 2yrs now. Not that they would help much, but my only access to any allopathic medicine is the emergency room. We don't even have a Naturalpath in town.

So, what I am doing is using canna-paste and other edibles, and vaping. And thats pretty much it at the moment. I Just picked up Stephen Buhners books and will be starting that protocol soon enough. Sadly, I'm one of those folks who has no recourse but self treatment.

I have a friend with Lyme Disease who does not imbibe in cannabis.
Do you think your paste, edibles, and vaping have helped with it?
What sort of protocol does Stephan Buhners recommend?
Thanks

EDIT---and on topic, eye floaters.
I just had my first big one last week and it scared me
I kept cleaning my glasses (left side dirty?) and seeing a glimpse of something over left (but nothing ever there). Then a small area registered tiny black/white pulsing pixels in a diamond shape so it got more distracting. Then it stated getting bigger and really distracting.
So then I'm thinking--I wonder what a detached retina does as these is not good.
Jumped in the shower, vaped, and it went away-- thankfully.

Cannabis certainly helps with Lyme. Besides the myriad of symptoms it alleviates, noted ( canadian ) Lyme researcher Dr. Ernie Murakami has shown cannabidiol will kill the lyme causing spirochetes. If I can ever afford it, I'll be doing an RSO treatment in hopes of curing it.

Buhners protocol of herbs includes Japanese Knotweed ( Resveratrol ), Cats Claw, Sarsaparilla ( Smilax ), and a couple of other herbs.

The above treatment ( cannabinoids included ) have made a notable improvement in my overall health, but there is still a long way to go.

I've had cataracts removed from both eyes. The procedure was very brief and now I can see much better.

I have Lattice degeneration. I have to watch for eye floaters , flashing lights or a veil of darkness to cross my peripheral vision.

I have floaters all the time. See an eye doc just in case, an MD, but it is probably not too worry unless they are many, never go away, or increase in frequency. However, good to get a baseline exam.

Had an ophthalmic migraine, we think, without pain once - vision was messed up, part of my vision field was all distorted. Freaked me out. By the time I got in to the doc, it was cleared up and ophthalmic migraine was the best explanation the doc could give. Eyes are tricky.
