Experiences with Ozium?

I've heard some great things about ozium, but these are from somewhat unreliable sources. Has anyone used ozium to combat the smell of vapor, and if so what were your experiences? I've got a can in the mail right now, so I'll be sure to let you guys know how it works. However, I'd like to have an idea of how effective it is before I take the risk of indoor vaping.

Ozium just removes the odor in the air correct? I think that the best and easiest method would just be to make a floobie with a toilet paper roll and stuff some dryer sheets in it to blow out of, some good smelling hits come out of the other end :)

^This is my method for the most stealth vaping

That's what I used to do with my LB, before the police took it (it's a completely absurd story, I'd hardly believe it if someone else told me,) but I just ordered a solo and don't trust that kind of filtration for the clouds a solo is supposed to provide. Ozium has some kind of glycol and possibly even ozone in it, which is unsafe to breathe but very effective for removing smells as far as I know

Why not use something like the Smoke Buddy? It has at least two carbon filters and does a damn good job at filtering that vapor. I used it all the time with my Solo in stealth situations.

I agree about the Smokebuddy. its a million times better then any sploof you can make , and it can even filter smoke until literally no smoke comes out of it.

I used to use Ozium when i smoked, it was good as far as sprays go. But i dont believe in that chemical crap anymore, i dont care if it says its a natural orange or citrus spray, its bad to breathe in. You would really have to spray it and leave the room for a while and you would still want a fan plus air circulation. They are just not practical or convenient and not exactly safe, its very very strong stuff.

A window fan will do the job well, but thats way more then needed for vapor. a smokebuddy plus an open window would probably do the job well :)

I was actually just thinking about picking up a foot of pvc, some endcaps, and some activated carbon and making myself a sploof that way. I had a friend who used one with a v-tower and it seemed to work well enough. I'd open a window, but I live in the midwest and it's winter, so fuck that.

Ozium works effectively on smoke so it's an easy assumption that vapor smell would stand no chance.
That being said if you can't open a window I would also recommend a vaporbuddy or sploof, because once you spray some ozium you really need proper ventilation to air it all out, it's powerful stuff and I wouldn't risk breathing in much.

I got this stuff called "Lavender with Chamomile Smoke Odor Exterminator & Air Freshener" at a tobacco shop. Powerful stuff, one quick shot and that's all you can smell but it's a good smell. They also make candles. This is the best deal online: http://www.cupojoes.com/cgi-bin/spgm?dpt=D&srch=DD&item=smeslc but you should be able to find it in a tobacco shop.

edit: Here is the distributor's website with a plethora of scents http://www.smokersoutletonline.com/smoke-odor-exterminator-spray-p-172.html

I also feel that the Smoke Buddy is far more affective than using a toilet paper roll, which was my method when living at home. If you really need to cover up the scent, then for the $20 the Smoke Buddy would be the most reassuring to me, but you could always combine that with the strength of an odor eliminator.

and p.s., "smoke buddy" is on amazon for about $12, i just picked one up to test for fun. So don't get ripped on their actual website :p

^ ? You can, it's a global market place, but it will cost $25 shipped. Not all that excessive though IMO.

Smoke buddy is just a piece of plastic with activated carbon in it. You can make it yourself way cheaper and then you can also have any size that suits you.

smoke buddy just came out with a "Junior" version that is much more compact, shaped like a flask. Certainly seems stealthier to me than something that is homemade & janky, if visual stealth is a concern. Or do you have a nice homemade design? Definitely share if do :-)

I read for hours last night because I had the idea of activated carbon years ago. I need something for a trip and thought the smoke buddy was to expensive for what it was. I saw simple designs like water bottles with extra protection using the dryer sheets and or baking soda. It clearly stated that you need to blow into the carbon first so you don't waste the carbon trying to get rid of the dryer sheet smell. One of the designs I loved was a Tylenol tube or chapstick tube. That is small and easy to carry. I am going to make a few different designs in the next few weeks and will let you know the results. PVC is an option but I think it may be to big. BTW I huge bottle of AC is only 6 bucks and will last forever since you only use a little bit at a time.

Hahaha Ozium. Used to go through gallons of that stuff back in the day! I knew this kid that didn't smoke and hated the smell of ozium. So, my friends that would see him hanging around or parked at school would blast his car with the stuff. He was really corny about it. Didn't see him much after graduation. Anyway... Made a few sploofs and found that slightly bigger than a Chapstick container works better. I have used carbon in pantyhose stuffed in various tubes and it works. Much easier is a tightly rolled dryer sheet in a 1/4" x 4 piece of tube. Get mine at casa de pot near the irrigation tubing. Also, it's worth it to get some organic sheets as they'll last a while and are cheap. It's very comfortable to blow your hit out of. Found while blowing out of a smaller diameter tube with a huge hit, you end up coughing because you can't get the hit out quick enough. Kinda ruins the sleath cause your coughing and spilling the smell everywhere. Oh yeah.. Mark the side of the tubing that you blow out of or into... That output side get real nasty.

Used Ozium back in the day, never really covered the smell, just blended with it.

I have no problem with the smell of vapor, it's the grinding of the material that fills my room. No Activated Carbon is going to cover that up.

I've heard great things about Ona gel. Would love to try some.

Essential oils worked great, just couldn't vape with the EQ at the same time as you use oil. Thinking about buying the oil diffuser for my SSV or some other commercial product for evaporating oils.

If you make enough holes it should work even with a small diameter but as always you guys know more then I do. I just found a toothbrush holder that I think will work great. It already has two holes on each side, it can open in the middle for easy changing of material so I am excited. It will certainly need more holes and if I am able will make a cap if not will figure something out. This is what I have so far.

Ona is great stuff. My idea is to also use activated carbon in a net bag in the lid of ground stuff to help the smell.

When the tube is closed and the holes are covered there is no air leakage from the middle.

Edit: I was thinking which is never a good idea. I know when I open my mason jars it does smell but the smell is so localized at least for me and dissipates fast. I do have the abv on my bed and I can smell that through the mason jar so they really aren't air tight. If you have an airtight jar and pre-ground stuff you are only opening it for a few seconds to get what you need. I don't see how this will smell up a room for longer then a few minutes if at all.

Dreamerr,
Get the Smokebuddy, open a window, and spray Ozium after. I followed this regimen for many years living with my parents and they never figured me out.

You all mod vapes and now I want to make something. This might be something I can do and it is almost free. I am a bit mad cause I tried to fit my INH in that tube and the ridges on the INH are just a smidge to big bummer. That would have been sweet.

If I don't succeed I will buy the smoke buddy. I thought someone said there was a mini now. I went to the site and only saw one.

The Junior wont arrive until October 10th? Maybe, according to their facebook, and I am guessing it could be a bit longer of a wait.

EDIT:
But I am personally looking forward to what you create or don't because I enjoy making things and if this is effective than I wouldn't mind making one to give to all of my smoking friends that think exhaling vapor is lame. (Horrible smoke smell)

I have someone bringing me screen tomorrow and I will be working on it. I think it will work better then the smoke buddy cause I feel like being optimistic since nothing has gone right in more then a week. I will do a step by step when I figure out exactly how I want to do it the best way unless you want the trials and errors.

I am fine with waiting until you find the most efficient method. The big factor would be that it doesn't have to be disposed like a smokebuddy, I hated it when my got damp and had to toss it overboard.

The insides will be fully replaceable and easily. I don't like to move more then an inch to do anything.
