Thanks OldNewbie for those quotes. I find myself getting more libertarian/conservative in my old age and am in complete agreement with O'Connor and Thomas.

Roll of the dice. (Unless the Virus was of God or Aliens and intended for the effect.) Then, we tended to choose the plants infected.
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/11/181126105506.htm
Summary: THC and CBD, bioactive substances produced by cannabis and sought by medical patients and recreational users, sprung to life thanks to ancient colonization of the plant's genome by viruses, researchers have found.
Now, for the reason I came here. No matter if the entourage effect is real or not, get ready to hear about it everywhere.

the phytocannabinoids being monoterpenes are part of the terpene / terpenoid family. they are glandular secretions the plant creates that forms in the trichome outside of the plant and have no smell @ all. they serve to protect the plant from herbivores and to prevent UV damages. terpenes are created from metallic oxides in soils ( mica).
the anti viral aspect of say THCV for example found in wild land race genetics seems to support your statement.
the smelly sequiterpenes are created too to likely drive away via pungent aroma wild herbivores seeking to Canna dine themselves in Wild luxury.. that lemon cleanser smell may not be desirable for some herbivores eTC plus raw cannabis is spicy and pungent / bitter in some cases.

Edit- I like to think we are ethical and follow ethical law but when we have science completely identifying plant compound and their interaction with man exactly describing bio-chemical pathways mans Law means nothing to that. it is getting back to basics of what is important and not running around blaming another party etc... for their actions

Check out Robert Melemede on YouTube. Good stuff!
His site @ Bobmelamede.com has been down a few weeks now... hope he si doing OK, not sure how to even reach him but certainly some of the most open minded cannaibs info I've found has been from his research and understanding

@abracadaver
all the biochemical identifiers in the world will not change some peoples perspective to learn more about health aspects ETC from cannabis. I'm glad that any of this info can help you out... here is a few of the latest articles I've been reading... just random really still piecing it all together
