I got my ICE stem in the mail yesterday, along with the 18mm adapter.
This thing is definitely a game changer, the little balls absorb basically all of the heat. You wouldn't be able to tell that your vaping if you couldn't taste it - even when the nano is cranked to 7.5-8. The best part about it for me is the shaped mouth piece at the other end of the stem, it's a lot more enjoyable to use over the other stem which doesn't have a shaped top.
I think my only real complaint with it, is I feel like you taste less of the herb with the ICE stem as apposed to the standard one you receive with the vape - which would suck when you have a really nice strain. But that's a small trade off for a way smoother experience.

Big thanks to Andy for helping me with my issues and for throwing in the stem!!

Hello everyone. I'm in the "process" of moving and spent the last year fixing up my house to make it better for prospective buyers (wood floors, new kitchen, fixing leaks and such) and have been reading but not posting. It's much easier to lurk. Plus, I'm sure no one wants to see my stoned rantings... ;)

This is a status report. The E-Nano is still the best unit I have ever used. I gave my Mighty away last week, after realizing I put it in a drawer when I got my E-Nano and never used it again. Some neighbors got a medical card and bought a ton of flower, but realized they did not want to smoke, so naturally they needed something easy to use and the Mighty fit the bill. I don't miss it either. Also dumped my mason jar bong for a Sky Starter Rig from Sky Glass. That's also a quality piece. It has a smooth and nearly effortless draw, and the exhale produces a cloud.

I'm about to buy the new ice stem to give that a shot. I love using the Nano through water and I also noticed something kind of neat. When I got my new glass, I was able to effectively pull through it super well and then cut my dose in half to .04 grams. At that dose most sativas feel wonderful.

For house showings I put the glass away, but left the E-Nano in plain sight with the aromatherapy cup and some lavender oil inside. No one suspected anything!

I agree on the closed end mouthpiece. It's obvious why they do it but I still like the feel of a round mouthpiece.

They could crimp it slightly just above the glass beads and then leave the mouthpiece round. That way, the beads won't fall out and you can still have a round mouthpiece.

Someone else commented how they like the feel of the closed mouthpiece so.... everyone likes it a little differently.

I like how it's crimped imo. But it could look nicer.

Tried the ice stem today doing back to back comparisons with the standard adj screen stem. This is my first fixed screen stem and has a bit more restriction than I'm used to. Maybe I'll fill my standard adjustable stem with dab perls and use a second screen to hold them in. The cooling effect is remarkable - similar to pulling through a small bubbler. Thanks @ACE OF VAPE and @nadia_epic for a nice 420 deal.

I got the ice stem a few days ago and am having a problem using it.

I've been using the enano as my sole vape for a couple of years and love it. But I've always used an adjustable stem. This is my first experience with the glass screen and I think that's my problem.

I use bud ground up with a Santa Cruz Shredder. With the adjustable, I normally give a load a light tamp with a chopstick to firm it up so I don't accidentally drop the load and to increase vapor density a tad. It still draws like there is almost nothing there. I did this the first time I tried the ice stem and couldn't draw at all. So I stirred it up with the pick to loosen it and was able to get a tight draw but also a lot of flakes. I never get flakes with the adjustable stem.

Even empty, the ice stem has some resistance. Nothing bad, but noticeable.

I've tried vaping with the ground bud totally unpacked and can do that but it is not as nice as the adjustable stem.

Any hints? Different grind, maybe?

@ataxian I've been reading 'In the company of Crows & Ravens' by John Marzluff. I'm doing a bachelors thesis on ravens...and there are a few books about them, so I like to chuckle...they are so fun to watch, so smart. or clever...most of them anyways...:)

I really love my nano, especially with the bubblers on a low temp (5 on the dial) it's great...and flavorfull..but unfortunately, johnny law doesn't enjoy that sweet smell! And also my Girlfriend isn't always as psyched about those "amazing terps" and scents...so, is anyone else in a similar situation and can offer your best idea/tip for smell reduction? :science:

Yesterday I went to use my faithful E-Nano and it was cold and lifeless. My heart sunk when I didn’t feel the warmth I expected. My nano was turned on but the light was not on and I was fearing the worst. It had been working fine earlier before I did some cleaning. It suddenly occurred to me to check the surge protector my nano was plugged into. Sure enough, it was turned off. I must have bumped the switch on the side when I was vacuuming.

The incident really drove home how reliable the nano is, I simply could not believe it when it wasn’t working, and I knew it had to be a simple fix. I already have a spare power cord so I would have been fine if that was the issue. The fix was even easier than that, and of course I was the issue, it was a classic case of user error.

@UnevenPizza, there are several ways to minimize smell. For storage I recommend a C-Vault. They are nearly smell proof and when combined with a humidity pack will allow for long term storage and curing at the ideal moisture level.

For after your nano sessions the aromatherapy cup is a good option. It can take a while to work though. When a more immediate or robust odor removal is necessary I like to use Ozium spray. I used to use Citrus Magic spray which works pretty well but Ozium is better.

And if you need odor removal during your sessions you can use a Smoke Buddy or the Smoke Buddy Jr. They work very well and I’ve even vaped inside movie theaters using them.

I will invest in a "real" smokebuddy soon, I made a DIY one out of some old tube, but I think there's still too much air-resistance and not enough smell removal

I'm liking the look of my new Walnut E-Nano.

The humidity returned and I was finally able to remove my old controller from the stand and use the new cord. I like that the new cord from the controller to the E-Nano is longer.

I wasn't sure how cleaning the Ice Stem would go but it cleans up fine. I think the beads help with the cleaning process.
