Take a day all to yourself and test starting from 5-6 and move the dial 1/4-1/2 each new load. Keep doing that until u find YOUR desired temp/taste/vapor density. Also like mentioned before, adjust your screen little by little too.

This is how I found my spot. Once I found my screen distance I installed 2 of the "c" clip things used in Ed's stems, to hold the screen in its position and I never lose my spot.

I use the pick to set the screen with the notch. I also use the short side of the pick to measure my material's distance from the heating element screen.

I'm starting to wonder if my unit heats up as much as other people's. 6.5 does not hold enough heat to toast a whole stem load for me. By the third pull on 6.5, there is little to no vapor visible, even if I stir it up, and move the material closer to the heating element.

It's not that I can't use the unit. I use it just fine. I'm just a bit weirded out by the fact that I see people talking about vaping in the 5-6 range, and there is no way I could do that. Even when pre-heated for an hour plus.
Any preheating for over 15-20 minutes will not make any difference. I vape at 8-8.5 It's individual preference not a problem with your unit.

Note: New exotics going up today and tonight.

As you can see @Walter Bishop, there are almost as many "ways to extract" from our beloved E-Nano's, as there are E-Nano's.
For me, that's the beauty behind this little beast (besides the fact that I get the BEST flavor and biggest clouds, that I've ever experienced).
Even after finding my sweet spot (adjust for different strains), I still enjoy playing around with all the variables. Because of this, It's easily my most versatile and efficient vaporizer.

Before my nano came along, I was satisfied with all of my vapes, now they all sit in their boxes collecting dust. If only @ACE OF VAPE would come up with a log housed modular battery to clip on the bottom! Imagine a portable E-Nano in two-tone, with two different exotics from @Snappo! Could add a third with a wood stem from @Ed's TnT!

For you dry hitters out there, might I HIGHLY recommend a steamroller stem from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd! Even if you usually filter thru water, give it a try. The ability to carb your hit, puts you in complete control. The flavor...oh the flavor!

@Mulehead I was playing with my accessories today and discovered that a small 2 piece Space Case grinder is almost the exact diameter of the metal E-Nano base. I'm imagining a couple low profile magnets could turn the grinder into a weighted base for the E-Nano

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

As I said, It's not that I can't use my unit. Been using it with great results for the past week plus. But I'm using it in the 7.5-8.5 range, which seemed a bit higher than what I've read other nano user's using.

Thanks again all for the answers and personal experiences.

Walter Bishop,
Hey guys I have had great results with using the e-pic notch measurement for my vaporbong sessions ... I say that because hands down I have been having exponentially better results with the screen pushed about 3x deeper than the e-pic measurement . About 3 quarters of the word epic on the e-pic if that makes sense. I say this because I have not found any other talk of success with a deep screen and a larger load. Do any of you guys like packing fatter deeper dry stems ?

I do. I fit as much as I can, shoving the screen down as far as the GonG/Stem will allow.

Not until recently have I tried the e-pic notch distance. I was surprised how little would fit.

same - i usually have it so i just barely see the screen when the gong is all the way put on. i can't imagine not roasting bowls that fat

Do this on occasion if in the mood or with a couple friends sharing. It definitely works! Nothing wrong with it at all.

Still think the best flavor and effect are on the first couple hits, and maybe one more after stirring (with bigger loads). This is my main reason for keeping the screen close and the load small. Not saying the big loads are too wasteful, only that I get more of what I like best with smaller ones. And, never get more than one "Bingo!" hit out of a load, so more loads increases the Bingos - and that is a VERY good thing.

Haven't done any scientific experimenting, but smaller loads seem to be more efffecient in the long run, too. Probably not a concern for many, but definitely is here in non-MMJ land.

Also, hate leaving half spent load in my GonG for more than an hour or so. When loading bigger ones and by myself I sometimes feel pressured to finish it up. Yeah... I know. Terrible to have to vape more.

Just another great thing about the nano... Versatility not only makes it more friendly to different preferences of different people, but allows anyone to switch it up for a change of pace or to treat some friends to awesome vapor.

Whew....where to begin. Received my custom satinwood enano on the 24 of November. This was my first time doing the your wood our enano deal. I HIGHLY suggest this for anyone wanting a one of kind nano for themselves. @Snappo made it a breeze (thanks again friend ) and overall it was a great experience. Only took a week to get to me !!!that includes Andy making it and shipping.
About the nano.. It is a beauty. The stripes of the satin wood make a 3d effect that is very trippy but beautiful to look at the same time. I'll have to post some pics of it when I get some good natural lighting. The new features(since I last had a nano) are just superb. The removable power adapter is great and I love love love the basket screens. I'm not getting anywhere near as much abv particles in the gong. It's just sticky gooey goodness ! Andy I will forever be a supporter of your company and what you do :)
Happy vaping everyone !

@Mrmrmrmr I can't wait to see your new Nano. I bet she is stunning! I wanted to share what I do with the gong. Order the Extreme Q screens and put one in the bottom of the gong. It will catch the rest of those particles and the best part it will trap lots of goodness. I scrape that off the Q screen after it builds up and re vape a small amount with some fresh green. It is wonderful and makes more vaper and is more powerful in my opinion. I call it vape hash. ;)

The majority of my water tools are 18mm male joints so I have re-purposed an Extreme Q bowl (18f to 18f with a screen in the middle) as my adapter and has the added bonus the screen catching all those stray particles

The convenience of the Extreme Q bowl is that it has the lip in the middle to rest the screen. But it does collect particulate quickly and needs relatively frequent cleaning.
