Happy Hump day all! XL size figured maple cases are now available in my Etsy store.

Very very nice. Love how the grain came out...
I only deep clean with iso when i accidentally combust.
Gotta say this is close to my behavior. I really don't need to clean them much, and because I only very rarely combust they don't get cleaned much at all. I don't use them all day, however, and I rotate 3 that I use a lot.

Sorry guys, I'm not trying to encourage any of you to make plastic bottle bong, because I also want a full glass water piece for my precious vapcap. But I living in a area that weed is illegal and I living with a big family and I don't want to let they know my "illegal habit", so it's hard to explain if they found a glass bong in my room. If I can found some ideal size of the bubbler which can hide in my room perfectly I sure will get one. I do looking for it now ;)
Hey, I remember what hiding my toys from the peeps was like, even if it was more than 40 years ago...
Usually you made them from something you didn't mind tossing, like a potato and aluminum foil or plastic bottles that were probably poison and screens stolen from the faucet, but we didn't care.

At least the VapCap is much easier to hide and vaping can be done with people home or coming home in less than several hours without leaving the windows wide open. But I definitely get not being able to have glass sitting around your room.

As I have said, I have been using an additional screen since some time. It is a mesh 300 ss screen.
The screen is simply cut to size. It is easy to change, it has to be changed or burned only every few weeks. The great advantage is that no particles can pass through this screen / filter. Nothing lands in your mouth. The pull resistance is not changed. In addition, clean oil is produced in the condenser. I would not use my VapCaps without the additional filter / screen, which is why I strongly recommend it here again.

I have another recommendation :-)

I clean my VapCaps as well with alcohol. If the VapCap is properly encrusted (by oil / hash), then I take Prowin. Prowin is a cleaner, which I bought some time ago to clean hard encrustations from my oven or my grill accessories. The stuff is very fast. I brush the VapCap with this stuff, let it work for 1-2 minutes, wipe it, rinse it, done. The Vapecap is as clean as on the first day. No crust, no discoloration, like new. And that in a short time.

Here is the only downside, it is very expensive. But you do not need very much of it, and you can use it for many different things.

I can't find any information about this product in English, but I would need to know quite a bit about a product designed to clean ovens and grills before I would put it anywhere near an object that I breathed through. Most products here that are designed for that kind of cleaning are quite caustic and likely very dangerous to breathe the fumes of (with the possible exception of PBW which is designed to be safe but should still be thoroughly rinsed). If there is a fumes warning on a product you don't want it near your vapes.

Just saying, I know nothing specific about this product.

One more true Thank you all for your kind tipps and wheretolooks, they were all pretty enlightening.

One should know that heating different parts of the cap results in different initial click temperatures.
Made the whole extraction process much quicker if needed.
But also made me have a near combustion experience - using a single torch at the very vapeside end, which also took hours to the first click.
Need a 2-3-4 flame one eh.

Also tried one of these big butane torch lighters.. don't know inglisch name, we use for cooking. Much quicker! And too big for the park. Got to admit I felt a bit shady this first lunch break, smoking my crack out in the open :/ It will pass..

Much quicker!

Keep in mind - Vapcapping is a bit like sex. You do not always want to reach the maximum heat as quickly as just possible. Sometimes, you want to get there slowly to enjoy an even deeper experience. (I really think that taking a bit of time to heat up the cap enhaces the quality of the vapor production). That being said - A quickie from time to time is just fine too. ;-)

I was curious how often do most people clean their vapcap and also are the O rings in the omni all the same or do I need different sizes. I saw the earlier post about them but didn't know if I needed the large and the small.

I clean my Vapcaps every month or two. They never really seem to need it, but I use a degummed hemp fiber filter screen sandwich which keeps the condenser surprisingly clean. I am motivated to clean my Vapcap when the flavor goes off and I swab the condenser, screen and tip. Rinse with water then reassemble with a fresh hemp filter.

There are two types of orings used in the Vapcaps:

- High temp orings are used on the threaded Omni condenser/mp as well as the tips, both titanium tips and the stainless steel tips found on the M model.

- Condenser x-rings are used on all regular condensers (non Omni). Two sizes are used and Dynavap sells packages of one large and two small x-rings. Placement instructions can be found on the Dynavap website FAQs page.

By the way: Two days ago, I received my two new Xikar Tech jet lighters, one with a single flame and one with a double flame:

I know, 48h is not an appropriate time frame for any kind of review, but they did a great job with my Vapcap during the last days. And believe me: My tests have been extensive... I have a good feeling that we will become close friends. ;)

Glad you are heading towards better results from your dynavap.

Out and about i love the 'vertigo tripple' sold by DV - heats the cap much faster with its three flames inline with the cap. Single torches out in the open air take forever...

@snackmaster recomended the 3 jet Zico lighter which I ordered and it got here yesterday. Surprised by the weight and seemingly high quality. Works great and makes this vape easier to use with the slide ignition. Triple flame changes tone/volume of click. Seems to heat more evenly but I am so new to Vapcap. As I said the click is actually quieter and did ignite waiting for a louder click. Learning and really liking interacting with the Zico.

Glad it's working out for ya, @hillbill! It's the only torch I use with my vapcaps, so it's interesting to hear it has an effect on the click. I'll have to play around and see if I can replicate that. edit- yeah, seems like maybe the clicks are quicker and occur closer together with the triple, triple torch is also much louder than a single

As @Drexciya said - the low temp is the key here. I vape Mint from time to time and it tastes delicious. And yes, it tastes like shit at higher temps, so always stay at the upper third of the tip cap while heating.
i did it in this way but still compared with mint in g pen elite at 177 celsius (isn't that low for mint) ther's no stories.. :(

There's no rule that says you have to wait for the click when vaping mint in the VapCap. Stop heating sooner for a cooler, refreshing blast. That said, I don't think the VapCap is the best vape for low temp vaping.... I still have my DaVinci Ascent for that :peace:

Anyone here with a coupla Damascus steel stem/bodys wanna sell me one, please. I crave. :myday:

Damascus is the heaviest of the body/stem midsections. My Vapcap with a Damascus body weighs 27 grams compared to the M at 19 grams and the Ti Woody S at 9 grams, a mere 1/3 of the weight of the Damascus.

The Damascus is beautiful but it does have a significant heft to it, which I enjoy.

The one you posted below was custom made for @Copacetic. He provided drawings and dimensions to George at Dynavap. It has a custom length stem and it is a beauty.

Mine was also custom made at the Dynavap headquarters but my body is a standard 45mm.

I don't know of anyone here that has more than one of these treasures. But I bet George would be happy to accommodate a custom request from his valued customers.

That moment when you load up your vapcap with concentrates in the morning not realizing you already had loaded it the night before. I double dosed this morning for sure :whoa:. I only realized after I had heated it and my tall bong was white walled for the whole heat cycle.

The vapcap carried me through the night. Everytime i started feeling a bit dizzy i vaped a cap, or 3, and the party continued!

Too bad it's not making this headache go away... Time to go get some coconut water... Thats the best hangover cure in the world! Coconut water and herb.

Definitely drank too much. And mixing wine and whiskey might not be the best idea moving forward!!

I'm not a wine drinker really... I drink whiskey and beer usually... But a few weeks ago i tried that cupcake brand moscato and LOVE IT. My problem is, i can't drink a GLASS of wine... I drink the whole bottle in 20 minutes or less and open up another... It's closer to juice than alcohol. Becomes risky lol.
